The merchandise they offer is selected so thoughtfully, I always know I can go there to grab something cute for Valentine's Day, stocking stuffers, or whatever, and Jen will have already done most of the work for me! The staff is friendly, and the shop and its neighbor, the Well Grounded cafe, are a lovely community hub.”

Devin and Jenny have gone out of their way to create a shop that is filled with live and thoughtfulness. And don't miss their bookstore!”
“Amazing customer service. I used there Warranty program and was blown back. I have been buying poi from them Since the original ones and traded mine in for a newer set. I thought the process was going to be hard but the employees made is very easy. They explained how everything worked and keep in contact we me though email the whole time. I would like to say I’m a customer for life but I already decided that a long time ago. Also I was shocked how fast they shipped my stuff back to me. Keep up the exceptional customer service.”

1361 Solano Ave, Albany“Outstanding hobby shop toy store, great for adults and children. Just please be mindful of the items they have for sale. This isn’t a regular toy store where your kid can just grab something. The item may be 30 years old, like an old Star Wars figure that I would like to collect. They were able to help me in a pinch on a very difficult to find item. Amazing customer service. This store has lots of history. It’s the kind of business and the kind of people that make the bay area what it is. The best place to live.”
“I've been going here ever since I was pregnant with my son, and now expecting my next child. Conveniently located across the Prenatal care at Kaiser. They always have an adorable collection of clothes and they have Jellycat plushies! I stopped by here just to see if they had the Jellycat turtle for my son before purchasing online, and I was able to spot it right away. Everything is fairly priced as well and the workers are always nice when I am here. Happy that this place has stuck around :) picture of my pleased toddler with his new turtle attached.”
“This little guy took a big trip home to Victoria, Australia, 35 years ago. We’ve loved him ever since and want another one the same for our little girl due in December. Thank you for a childhood full of happy memories.”
“Lots of puzzles to try out in their mini play area… handcrafted wooden puzzles and brain teasers for kids and adults ranging from ludo, snake and ladders, chess etc.. invokes a sense of nostalgia.. most of the puzzles have the difficulty level clearly taggedthe guy at the store is extremely passionate about his work.. and puts a lot of effort in keeping every customer engaged and intrigued about the puzzles on display..”

Thankfully I came in person to the store and saw it immediately upon entering. Wish I looked to yelp could have saved 10%. Oh well. Lots of options of products to choose from throughout both stores. Great customer service from the ladies, I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks:)”

1506 Walnut St, Berkeley“If you have a small grandchild and have not yet visited Dimples, you have a great treat in store. The story is visually the proverbial candy store, something good everywhere you look.In the three seasons since I discovered Dimples and became addicted, the owner/buyer, Tatiana, has not made a false move. Everything is not only adorable but completely wearable. Fabrics are soft; brands are specialty but affordable. There is lots of selection and a few perfect toys to round out birthday giving. There are also a few mom gifts; check out the earrings for yourself.I always wonder about incredibly positive reviews, so I assure you I did not know the owner until I wandered in the first time. I only have so many pictures [from two different visits] since I send then to my daughter to vet my choices. I only have little boys to buy for so the pictures may not amaze you. If you have a daughter or granddaughter....!”

688 Bridgeway, Sausalito“Great selection of Tintin products and outstanding online retail experience. Ken personally packaged up my order and took it to the post office to ensure that it reached Connecticut in time for our anniversary. Exceptional customer service!”
“A rare gem worth the journey - one of the coolest small shops I've had the pleasure of stumbling upon for Japanese vintage toys and anime goods. The selection leans towards 60's/70's to the early 2000's for Japanese toys and fanfare. Lots of cool rare stuff; the hours are tricky and the location is tucked away in a warehouse area but worth it if you are in the area. Highly recommended and will be going again!!”
“This is such a great toy store! I’ve enjoyed shopping for my grandkids here for several years now - they always have something cool and unique. Even little kids appreciate that. ?”

Pier 15 Embarcadero at, Green St, San Francisco“The exploratorium store was a cool spot with a huge range of gifts to get. It is the gift shop to the Exploratorium. I liked the black sand exhibit at the Exploratorium and asked the sales associate there for some. She was very happy and eager to lead the way to the black sand. They also have a bunch of other cool tacky stuff to buy from a test tube glass tea diffuser to crystal rocks.A jar of black sand was $9.72 which I thought was a fair price to pay.”

You can often find items with tags still on them. The staff is helpful, and the store is jam packed with clothes, toys, books, costumes, and everyday baby care and toddler care items.”
“This is a fascinating place to engage student learning! We have a cool instructor Ime (he/him), young Black man that's into science and that's great for our students to see with all that's going on in our world today. He has kept everyone engaged and paying attention to each project we've built. This is a must visit place for schools looking to show their students how important science is to our society and the different facets that involve science that we don't even think about. Bottom line science is COOL kids and COOL people love science!!”

“Tucked in a quiet corner of the 99 Ranch complex is Candy Box. The store is stuffed full of adorable anime and Studio Ghibli paraphernalia. You no longer have to go to Japan Town to get your fix. The owner of lovely and her offerings are unique. I can't wait to go back!”
