“I have a pup with pancreatitis and most lower fat treats she refuses but luckily mishka’s turkey cake is very low fat and my dog is obsessed with the cakes and so am I. The cakes are absolutely beautiful and there are always fun new shapes with different seasons and holidays. The staff is also always so friendly and helpful. Mishka is a must go to if you have a pup in the Bay Area.”

“When I shop at Fill Good, I feel good. My main purchases are cleaning items like dish soap, dishwasher powder, all-purpose cleaner, and hand-soap. Those items are competitively priced with supermarkets, albeit minus the externality of the plastic. They offer donation jars or upcycled wax-bags if you come without.The staff is very knowledgable and I always chat with them about the best ways to recycle and compost etc. I love the loyalty program too. I feel like can do something about the standard pig-lifesytle that's offered by Amazon and friends.”
“A smaller size store, but the staff are big dog lovers. The love my black lab, Buddy. Their were tears when he passed. Now, they treat my new lab with the same care and love. When I came in with my arm in a sling, they grabbed the big bag and carried it out to my car without my asking for help. Great staff!”
“Best pet supply store in the Bay Area. Between this location and the Telegraph one, they usually have excellent selection. The staff is super helpful. Recently, they only had one bag of my usual kibble in the store. I was hoping to get more and the staff special ordered my request at no extra charge and it was available for pick up within a week. The usual buy 3 get 1 free on everything is worth the money. If you’re looking for suggestions, the staff is usually very helpful, often suggesting value items over the most expensive option, which I appreciate a lot. And the treat for my pup at the checkout counter is always appreciated.”

“I use to shop here for my pigeon feed and they was such great friendly people. I wonder if it's the same people running the store that i use to come buy feed 2012. Well now i have Cockatiels and Canary's so i will be buying my feed from you again. Because the store Elgranero feed store stop customer from using their credit cards and they only except cash that has been going on for 1 yr now. And i wanted to buy a canary bird and i didn't have the cash to buy it now so i wasn't able to buy bird.”
“This is our local spot for hay, treats, and pellets for our Ziggy Smalls! We stopped purchasing from Amazon and SPS, due to poor quality of 2nd cut Timothy...Ziggy was basically using it as his litter vs eating it. purchasing local here, supports his mission and ensures a safe haven for rabbit and Guinea pig owners so we feel good about coming here. We adore James and he's always helpful and kind when we visit. He was able to give advice when Ziggy had too much "wet poop", even after changing his daily amount of fresh greens. Thank you James! “This is one of the best experiences I’ve had with getting my puppy groomed. She’s a mini golden doodle just fyi. Amber was so nice and knew what she was doing. I love that my dog was the only dog in the shop no other dogs running around and no create in sight, to get thrown in before or after her grooming like other places do. Amber listens to you and what you like with ur dogs cut. Yes she gives her opinion and I like that as well! I could say a lot of good things but mostly I just loved how she treated my 7 month old pup who’s hard to groom cause she moves around a lot. Thanks Amber ? Mazzy will be back forsure.”

“I went to Your Basic Bird to get a pair of budgies after my beloved one died. It's a lovely big store full of bird supplies. I asked for males, specifically to avoid female territorial aggression. The employee that helped me insisted the pair he showed me were males. I was pretty sure they were females but let him talk me out of my first impression. Turned out they are females, now that they're mature. I love them anyway, though it's more challenging having a pair of females, but if someone needs a specific sex be sure to trust your gut and knowledge over the employee recommendations because at least one of them doesn't know enough to be accurate. The birds I got are lovely though. They are very healthy, hand-raised so were pretty tame when we got them. They just argue a lot. I would definitely shop there again for future budgies, but will trust my own expertise rather than let myself be talked out of what I knew to be true.”
