Rude, unprofessional, entitled owner. You asked me to provide photos of measured chalked slabs "That's how it works" you said. "You set a price and then I counter it" the words you used. I measured and chalked slabs, sent you photos with a price w/ est. from another hardwoods store and you didn't like the price so you ignored. I text you the next day respectfully asking for a response and got more hostility "I'm running a business" followed by "I have tons of slabs, not selling, don't need more slabs"So, you asked me to measure, chalk and photo slabs that you had no intentions of purchasing, treated me poorly and didn't keep your word.Your technical, informative dissertation or the fact I wasn't at your store doesn't excuse your behavior.insight

Before I was born, nearly 40 years ago, my dad was gifted a 5' long, 4" thick slab of black walnut by an artist who reclaimed many pieces when they were clearing out a grove of trees in Walnut Creek to make way for a housing development. My dad is no woodworker but thought he might be able to make a table out of it somehow, so he kept the piece for years. In 2015, after I bought my own house, he asked me if I wanted it, or at least could store it for him. I had the space so I took it. It was a beautiful piece of wood and I wanted to turn it into something but didn't have the means at the time. When we bought a larger house last year, I finally had a need for a large coffee table and wanted to get it fixed up. I spoke with Karl and Idan at Peroba and was able to send the wood and a few vague ideas/sample pics and they produced an amazing, unique piece, like they could read my mind. My dad (who is not one to give praise easily) is obsessed with how well it came out. I love it and I know it will be a piece we have forever.

Was not rushed and felt valued by person at business . Was very attentive, to the point where i finally had too much and then he allowed us to look. I appreciated all the education he provided. It wS actually a great help in making a decision right there. We were very excited to work on on our countertop and will share results in near future. So far very happy

Excellent collection, great prices. I was able to find a great live edge for a 10 person outdoor table at a very good price. Received good advice from Idan to help with the purchase. Will shop here again.

Good selection of reclaimed wood; customer service very rough and uncomfortable, for that reason don't think I would go back. There are other reclaimed wood businesses in the area, we will probably will try other next time.
