Horrific experience trusting this mechanic shop with my car. The AC of my perfectly nice 2005 Honda CRV stopped working in Sept 2018. I brought my car to Marco and got an estimate of under $1,000 to change the compressor so I thought I was getting a great deal. I struck up a conversation with the owner, I told him I was from L.A., he told me got his start as a mechanic in East L.A.... anyway it was a nice exchange and I was really feeling like I'd found my new mechanic in the area. All was good for a while until 2 years passed and right in the middle of the pandemic my AC stopped working again. This time I took my car to the most reputable mechanic in the East Bay (Steve's Auto on San Pablo Ave). The new mechanic told me that because Marco had used a cheap non-recommended replacement compressor that basically it broke and spread debris throughout the AC system. To fix the AC again and clean the different motor parts of all the debris that had spread would have been far more than what I would have paid to have it done right the first time. The new mechanic told me I could keep driving my car without ever using the AC or heat system - EVER - but that eventually the car would break down for good because of all the debris. I loved my CRV; it was a great car. It only had 130,000. That car could have easily lasted me another 100K miles if Marco hadn't destroyed it. The worst part is when I brought my car to Marco to talk to him about all the damage he'd caused by using the wrong compressor, he pretty much told me "tough s***** He told me the compressor I purchased had no warranty. I asked him why he didn't order a Honda factory made compressor to begin with and he said, "you wanted cheap, I gave you cheap." You get what you pay for. Go to Marco if you want to get ripped off.

Marco was very fair and explained everything in a way I was able to grasp not like other places that talk over you about cars. A+place I felt price was fair

M & M Auto Repair team are wonderful!! I have gone to this repair shop twice for repair and maintenance of my vehicle both times my car is left running like a new car. Will be returning for future repairs and maintenance.

This place is a rip off. The owner charged me an excessive amount and didnt do as he was suppose to do. I still had problems with car. When i returned, he wanted to charge me again for his mistake and while speaking with him, could smell alcohol on his breath. I drive my grandchildren around in this car and now dont trust anything he has done. Awful businessman and customer service. He just worked me and charged me as much as he wanted. Would never recoommend.
