This is my second mortgage in two years with Janice. It is a Friday night and I thought of a few questions expecting her to get back with me later. She responded within seconds and answered all my questions and offered to meet me Saturday if I needed too, even come to where I was. This is the 5th house I have purchased and none have been more relaxed and efficient as when I worked with Janice. She is priceless. I don't care what anyone says, obtaining a mortgage is stressful but Janice is so on top of her game that it just flows. It also helps that she has a genuine bubbly personality and just makes you feel so at ease.

While shopping for a new home sounds like a LOT of fun, I think we can all agree that the thought of going through the process of getting funding for that new home sounds like NO fun, at all. As a first-time homebuyer, I didn't know what to expect and was pretty nervous, but I was so fortunate to find Janice Carroll and Pinnacle Capital Mortgage. Janice was so patient with me and took the time to answer all of my questions (I had a lot of them). She returned my calls quickly and kept me informed each step along the way. She was such a great support, and "kept it real" throughout the process. She worked closely with my realtor, so there were no bumps along the way. I felt she was honest, and fair, and her experience made me feel secure. I would, without any reservation, highly recommend Janice and Pinnacle Capital Mortgage to anyone with mortgage financing needs.

First time homebuyer and being naturally cautious, skeptical and realistic (e.g always leaning towards the negative), I was expecting the whole mortgage process to be hell. Was referred to Janice by my real estate agent and could not be any more thankful to the whole team for a relatively smooth process. As stated by previous reviewers, Janice is very professional, knowledgable and efficient. May I add that she is very patient and will really take the time to explain things to you. I had countless questions (which I feel were both valid and stupid) and she patiently answered them. That's not to say the mortgage process was 100% trouble free - - there were a few hiccups here and there but overall, the process was smooth sailing. Not sure how many people actually search Yelp for mortgage brokers but want to make certain that if anyone decides to actually look this team up here, they will read some feedback and hopefully be reassured that they will be working with very competent folks. Cheers! Again, don't expect the process to be perfect but if you work with this team things will be easier than you anticipate it to be! Thank you PCM team!!!

The level of professionalism is the highest, the communication is the easiest and everything is explained black on white. I asked a million questions because of bad experiences with B of A but I did not have to with Pinnacle because my questions were answered prior me asking them. Let me start by giving you a little bit of history first, in 2007 I bought a condominium in Oakland and I used Bank of America. I trusted my loan agent but did not get a very good product. I was told many things by my real estate agent that weren't true but I never really sat down with the loan agent and the real estate agent to go over the loan as we communicated only via phone. I ended up selling that home and moving to Point Richmond two years later and the reason was that my interest was not as low as it should have been and the terms were awful. I sold that home in a flash to get out of this awful loan. In 2012, I decided that I wanted to buy another house and finding a really good real estate agent as well as a great loan agent was paramount. I had met Janice via one of my friends a few years back and decided to work with her. The agent that I chose turned out to be unprofessional and uncommitted. I ended up calling the broker and telling them that I did not want to work with her anymore and why. I was matched with a phenomenal real estate agent but alas we could not find a home. Six months into searching for a home, I came across a property in Martinez with a lot of potential but there were multiple offers on it. I had my loan pre-approved and ready to go. My offer was not the highest or the most advantageous for the seller as it was a loan versus a cash offer. One thing that Pinnacle doesn't do is to approve people into loans they can't afford and they really follow the guidelines set by the government. In the end, the seller chose me and I was able to move into my new house. My loan was a 30-year loan at 4.25%, which got me into the door. In 2013, I decided to refinance and I went back to Janice and she helped me lower the terms to 20 years at 3.75% saving me a bundle in interest. I am a public service employee and I don't earn a lot of money. I also bought this house on my own (an unmarried man) but buying this house was easier than I thought it would be. Buying a home is a very emotional process and I don't know anyone who commits to making the biggest purchase in his or her life who doesn't dread the amount of paperwork one has to fill out and the level of commitment one must have. The term buyer's remorse exists because almost everyone feels it. I felt it with Bank of America right away. I am glad that I did not have a huge level of anxiety because the Carrolls were there to help me even more so than my real estate agent and are still sending me emails, calling me and checking on me. I have referred a couple people to them because I value their expertise, their integrity and honesty. I would not go to anyone else to help me with a loan because they are the best! I really do love them!

I enjoyed working with this company. Janice helped my wife and I purchase our first and second home. The first time around we were confused at what it really took to buy and own a home. But Janice changed that. With her skill, patience and knowledge she walked us through our first time in buying a home. Making our second time a walk in the park. She's amazing and knows her stuff!

OMG, i first spoke with these people for almost 45 minutes getting free information and they seemed so helpful, smart and kind but then in the end gave us a crappy loan and made things as bad as possible once we were in contract and even asked us to remove our loan contingency. We were lucky we switched lenders in time to close. Shame on you.
