“At first, this review was not going to be anywhere near 4 star. Then the customer service by Angela recovered it all. There were many miscommunications I found out about during check in that I was not made aware of when the reservation was booked. I was put into a smaller room than was originally booked and it was not the greatest state (old furniture with stains). One of the elevators was broken and the other needs major TLC (Shakes, cables rattle, and tracking need service) not to mention the stairs don't even lead to the lobby and lock you out from the outside. I ran all this by the front desk (To Angela) and the next thing I know the room had been fixed and the matter had been corrected above and beyond. When my child couldn't sleep and we were walking around the lobby she was cool enough to give my kid a little stuffy toy and entertain her a little in between helping guests. Great customer service and saved the experience singlehandedly. Deserves a raise COURTYARD!”

“It had very nice service, and it was very quiet (except for the Fireworks Show, which was lovely,) and very nearby which I did not expect. Overall, everyone who worked there were very courteous and very professional, including security. I had a wonderful time! I was there to recooperate for 3 days. The breakfast was delicious too. Thank you Surestay, I will be returning very soon!”

“This is a Motel 6 for $60 a night in Richmond. And if you don't know what that means you probably should not stay here.With that in mind, I had extremely low expectations coming here. I expected a disaster, to be frank. And I was pleasantly surprised.What exceeded my expectations:* The room was clean* There was an on-site security guard* I was not murdered* My car was not broken into* There were no Bibles in the side tablesThe less than good:* Hotel requires a cash deposit which was not clear from any listing.* Hotel does not have Wifi. Now the only reason I expected this was the listing had itWhat met my expectations:* Grumpy desk staff* Run-down room* Towels and a bar of soap but nothing else* Druggies randomly walking about (they were harmless)So in short, if you keep your expectations low and realize that this is a $60 Motel 5/6 in Richmond, you'll have a better than expected time!If you're expecting the La Quinta, this ain't it. It's a $60 Motel 6 in Richmond.”
