We rented the entire island when we took our children when Christmas and the food was delicious and the staff made you feel like royalty. When do you ever get to stay in a beautiful home on an island. Treat your friends and yourself and your family to weekend at East Brothers light station.

The East Brother Light Station is such a unique gem to the East Bay. An amazing birthday gift, my friends and I were transported to the East Brother island by boat from the Point San Pablo Yacht Harbor with our luggage in tow. (This is set up by the InnKeepers) Once we arrived, we were greeted by a glass of sparkling & delicious snacks. The Innkeepers showed us to our rooms as we met the other over night guests we would share dinner and breakfast with the following morning. A tour of the grounds and learning about the rich history of the island/light station was also included in the experience.Overall, this was a once in a lifetime trip right in our very backyard! Sharing this unique space with others and getting to know them through meals & activities was so genuine. The meals were exquisite and fresh with local ingredients, and the Inn Keepers went above and beyond to make the birthday celebrated so very special. If you're looking to celebrate life or a special event in a remarkable way, look no further than booking a night at the East Brother Light Station!

Our recent visit to the East Brother Light Station was fabulous! Dre & Charity are wonderful hosts! They provided a tour and history of the island and lighthouse. The accommodations and dining experience were outstanding. The island is certainly a Bay Area gem! We will definitely visit again.

This is a special spot with great Inn Keepers. We got lucky with the weather, the views on a long summer day were beautiful. The boat ride and approach to the EBL were pretty awesome. The rooms and food were top notch! It's a special place and fun to go as a group.

This trip was brilliant fun! The island is fascinating, the inn is delightful, the company was fantastic, and the food was incredible! Charity and Dre, the innkeepers, accommodated each of my family member's different food restrictions with good cheer and no fuss -- and the results were delicious. The other guests were great conversationalists, and I think we all had a good time getting to know each other. I took tons of photos, as the views are amazing. We've visited a bunch of the lighthouses along the California coast, and this one is unique because of how close you can get to it, and because the island also houses a foghorn, which the innkeepers kindly play for guests before you leave. The foghorn equipment is a step back in time, and super interesting. My husband and I and our adult son stayed in the Two Sisters room (named after two other islands visible from the room). This is the only room that can accommodate three people, and we were lucky it was available while our son was visiting us. I think we've all decided we want to make the trip again.

We booked the whole place for one night for a birthday celebration. Dre and Charity are the most charming hosts, having intimate knowledge of the history of the place. Dre is a wonderful chef--the food was superb. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, with a game's room and parlor available. The outside seating is a large circular table and chairs, where we enjoyed hors d'oeuvre and champagne on arrival. The tour of the whole place was fascinating, and we had fun with scaring seagulls with the fog horn demonstration. Wine was freeflowing at dinner, which was scrumptious! All in all we had a fabulous time and will definitely be back!

Wife & I had a room on the first floor overlooking San Pablo Bay toward the sleeping humpback w Brother and the City. Hosts were delightful, service excellent. Extremely pleased with the experience on this little island USCG light station. Difficult to get there by road (only way) but well worth it.

This is a unique experience! My wife and I stayed on the lighthouse 28 years ago. Today we were joined with another couple and six strangers. The lighthouse keepers [Dre and Charity] met us at the dock and shuttled us to the lighthouse. Dre did a tour and historical overview of the lighthouse. All of the guests shared a wonderful charcuterie plate and champagne. There was great discussion during the four course delicious dinner, which was paired with wine. The views are epic and each room has a unique feel.As the lighthouse is on rainwater, guests are asked not to take showers unless staying multiple nights. This was full disclosured in the booking material. The next morning was a large and hearty quiche and muffin breakfast. The tour continued with the demo of the fog horn. The lighthouse keepers and volunteers do a great job of maintaining the facility and supporting guests. We did find our signatures in the log from 1995!

All around amazing experience. Dre and Charity, the new hosts of the island, were absolutely fantastic with their welcoming friendliness and amazing meals - delightful charcuterie board, wonderful dinner and breakfast. My hubby and I stayed in Walter's Quarters, an incredibly cozy space with the most spectacular views of the entire bay area. We cannot wait to come back!

We spent a foggy rainy weekend at the East Brother Light Station. We were in the Marin Room (one of the rooms with a shower). The room was comfortable and clean. Even with the fog, the views were nice. Food was fantastic and plentiful. Stephanie and Bryan were wonderful hosts. Bryan even went out to help rescue a vessel that was in distress while we were in the island. We had never been before, and we didn’t know any of the other guests before we got there. Everyone was kind and considerate, and the conversations at meals were great. We’d love to come again.

So perfect, you feel far away from everything yet it's so close to the city! Food was amazing, the keepers (Brian and Stephanie) a delight, 100% magical experience. It's both a secluded and social experience with communal meals with other guests, we LOVED it.

For years, whenever my husband and I would drive across the Richmond / San Rafael bridge we would say someday we should stay at the lighthouse b&b. Why did we wait so long????What fun! Hosts Stephanie and Bryan were beyond terrific. Food was phenomenal. The history was fascinating. And loved watching the birds and sea lions. Views in all directions were spectacular. It's a little Shangri-la in the middle of the Bay!Kudos to all the volunteers who saved and restored the structures...and continue to care for them today.

My man talked about this island every time we drove on the bridge, so I said, "We should check it out sometime!" He then surprised me and booked one night for my birthday! I didn't know what to expect, I should've done a quick research before we got there. I knew we were going to get picked up by a boat at 4 pm, but that was it. When the boat stopped on the island, we were to climb up a ladder and there were a lot more steps toward the house. I realized I should've worn sneakers instead of high-heeled boots! It was nice to watch the sunset while we enjoyed a charcuterie board and champagne. They offered wine afterward. Then dinner came soon - no need to dress up! The three-course meal was fun with everyone sharing a communal table. The dessert was my favorite! The Lemon Posset with Berries was new to me, but it was similar to Pana Cota. The bedroom was comfortable. There was a couple who complained about being cold all night, but we were fine since the innkeeper helped us with the fireplace. I think our room was the only one that had a fireplace, but most of the guests didn't complain about the cold. Breakfast was great! I would like to make the egg with spinach in a little ramekin at home. It looked simple to make but really tasty! The blueberry muffin was my other fave. So scrumptious! When it was time to leave, I was relieved that the boat was raised up for the women so we didn't have to climb down the steps. They lowered it down for the men, though. It was windy and cold, but it was worth it for the breathtaking views, delicious meals, and fun experience. What an awesome birthday adventure!!

I booked one night here for a surprise getaway with my partner and we had an incredible time.make sure to plan ahead for me traffic and other delays as the boat will pick up the entire group promptly at 4pm. Brian and Stephanie were incredible hosts and very interesting people with so many travel stories. When we got to the island we were greeted by the most incredible sunset, wine, and a snack platter. It really doesn't get much better than that when it comes to b&b experiences. They provide blankets to hang out but I would recommend packing warm clothes as it can get chilly with the wind at night. After snacks we were seated for dinner and had a great time with the very interesting group of fellow guests. I feel like this is the type of place to attract amazing people with unique life and travel experience because we met some incredible people during our stay. Lots of fun conversation over wine ended up with an impromptu game night as they have lots of board games in the parlor and we got to go up into the lighthouse to see the light and island at night. Very cool experience. Next morning we had an amazing breakfast and got a history lesson of the island, light house and life of the light house keepers. Overall it was just an amazing experience and I would highly recommend coming here. I feel like a one night stay is enough as the island is very small and easily explored in a few hours. FYI it's mainly an adults only experience unless you rent the entire b&b. Sharing bathroom with guests was never an issue and it was very well stocked and so clean. Rooms were very spacious, comfy and warm at night. Thanks again!
