1501 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Oakland“Omg the variety! I was just visiting Oakland for the weekend and I found this gem right next to my hotel. I love it and will return again when I'm around the area.”
“My favorite art store in town! Really good art supplies including sketch books. Also lots of 3d art supplies like clay and foam.Id go here anyday over Michaels.Highly recommend!”
“Dope shop with great selection of spray paint, caps and markers. Awesome shop tees and hoodies, usually stop in once a week. Great dude running the spot, super helpful if you have any questions about paint and great part of the neighborhood.”
“Obsessed with Jim. It would be really easy to take advantage of people who don't know the first thing about niche furniture repair and crafts (ie. almost everyone). Instead of charging a fortune, Jim actually taught me how to repair the paper cord on my used Danish chairs myself and only charged me for the materials used. He is a learned & encouraging teacher - grateful for his expertise and the opportunity to learn a new skill!”
“My dad dropped a five dollar bill and a worker named Athena kindly came out to us as we were getting in our car. Friendly and and I like the outgoing attitude. Give her employee of the month.”
“An absolute must stop when nearby. So much great brands and high quality art supplies, all level of artists will love this spot. Great location and awesome staff.”
“Such great staff! Parking is tough, but typical for Oakland. Small store packed with temptations for artists. We'll curated gift and card selection up front as well”
“Great place to find art supplies at an affordable price. Parking can be a bit difficult to find on the weekends, and sometimes items are a hit or miss. I would definitely recommend checking it out during the weekday for the best items”
“I've been looking for German Embossed Vintage Style Scrap Die Cut Relief's- for many years. I played with them as a child in Germany. It was such fun to find this small store packed full of treasures. They also have shipping available. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.”
“Great place to take a stained glass class! We took both the one day beginner and multi week intermediate classes and learned so much. The studio was super helpful with rescheduling our last class that we missed in March 2020 and super understanding when we needed to stay an extra few minutes past close to finish and clean up. We love our projects, especially the intermediate class ones where we were able to sketch our own patterns.”
“The person I worked with at the Berkeley location was so incredibly helpful. I've been painting on my own and decided that I should go ahead and enroll in a beginning painting class. I switched from one local community college to another. Unbeknownst to me that also meant I needed to go to the Berkeley Blick location instead of the Oakland one. They took it in stride and looked up the materials that I needed. I brought in what I'd gotten for the other class at the other college. I returned a couple of things, checked on what I had, and bought the things that I didn't have. The person helping me took a lot of time, and I really appreciated it. It makes me more secure to know I have what I need in my bag. Now all I need to worry about is the assignments. Thanks for the help!”

1815 Fourth St, Berkeley“Fantastic store with a well curated selection of items even if a bit sparing. Kind and friendly staff with Edward so wonderfully helping me pick out a gift and wrapping it up.”
“We took our six year old granddaughter to Michael's to purchase a variety of art supplies. The organization of the store encouraged her to consider projects rather than processes. The placement of high cost visually stimulating items nearby more basic supplies distracted her train of thought. While the pricing was fair and the quality good, the experience did not aid her in becoming a good shopper or a good artist.”
“The best place for sculpting and casting supplies in Northern California. An absolute treasure trove of ideas and inspiration. Knowledgeable staff and a good amount of samples to test what the silicone or resins will look like once cast. Highly rectify you are looking for any casting products (especially smooth on)”
