I saw lots of cool receivers through the window but this is my 2nd time coming here and they were closed. I don't know when they are actually open and I think standing receivers with huge magnets on edge is probably not recommended. The chassis are not designed for that!

Thanks for fixing that monster of an Akai GX-7 cassette deck. The deck works great and will keep the repair updated. Thanks for not charging me Nakamichi major repair prices for a Nakamichi major level repair. He's a super honest dude and prices are fair. Hopefully the extra 10 dollars helps.

Javier is working on my third receiver, after completely going through my Kenwood 9600 not an easy receiver to work on, I was impressed with the quality of his work, I then sent my pioneer SX1250 for a full restoration, excellent job and beat my expectations, Javier is now restoring myKenwood KR8050 and I’m certain it will last another 40 years , I will be bringing my Toshiba 7100 next and have no concerns about the outcome of his work , these are my personal collection and want to have the best quality work done to them, I have all the confidence that the quality of my personal collection will be as good as it was new.

Took my turntable to him and had it for several months. After a while he said he couldn't find parts for it so I picked it up and he still charged me for doing nothing to it.

Took my Akai reel to reel in for a little TKC and the work this guy put into it was unbelievable. It sounds brand new and I love listening to it. This was a few years ago and it still plays great.

I took my 1974 Sansui 881 receiver to Javier at Hard Knocks Audio for a complete restoration. I could not be more pleased. It looks brand new and sounds better than ever and he installed a Bluetooth connection on one of the aux outputs.

I took my 1974 Sansui 881 receiver to Javier at Hard Knocks Audio for a complete restoration and I could not be more pleased with the results. The unit looks brand new and sounds incredible. Javier's knowledge of audio equipment, especially vintage audio is one of the best around. I highly recommend Javier for any audio service.

Javier repaired my Marantz 140 amp to perfection and took pictures of how a charlatan in San Diego jury rigged it before. Javier undid his work and It will certainly last another 45 years easily.

I took my Sony turntable in. I don’t think it was ever cleaned since it came out. My son bought this turntable for me, which I hold dearly. It was having issues and took it here. OMG…. I got it back quickly and it sounds so great. Please if you have a vintage pice of equipment. Take it here. I am so pleased with their work.
