I would stay away from this YMCA. The staff are very junior and lack basic professionalism. And be careful when you sign up for while this may be a nonprofit, they will try to hook you with a cheap starter membership that you cannot cancel neither online nor at the facility and have to send an email and hope to hear back and they charge you a month for cancellation. We signed up and 3 days later we discontinued our membership. A terrible experience it has been.

Often frequented this Y as a child with my family and friends, now as a adult I wish I called the police on them but I didn’t but I wouldn’t know how to explain to them that a brown Indian women was screaming at me, I didn’t want to waste the police time but the workers overall had no customer service skills, no professionalism. I also adopted to Christianity, what would Jesus do…

YMCA is a good place for exercise and they're they're very helpful but now it is hard for those that they are not having access to Internet or computer all the their applications is through the internet the front desk doesn't do anything on writing and also they used to have the free home test of covid-19 in the front desk that in the past couple months they run out of it still they don't have it I would like to request them that if they have it in this season it will be helpful for community

Don't waste your time or money. I joined in November 2022 to use the pool. Since then the available pool hours have changed at least three times so that I have to constantly adjust my schedule to get some swimming time in. They only have one lifeguard on staff at any given time. This means that swimmers are asked to leave the water for 15 minute "safety breaks" because the YMCA is too cheap to hire two guards like they do at practically every other pool. The lifeguards are unprofessional. At times I have seen the lifeguard reading a book or eating snacks in the tower. Their reservation system to book a swim lane or a class is an absolute nightmare. Despite making clients scan upon arrival, they do not have a system in place to simultaneously check in for a reservation. If you miss 3 reservations, you are banned from using the pool or taking a class for 2 weeks. It's interesting that the YMCA thinks its ethical to receive full payment for the monthly membership fees and at the same time tell members that they cannot use services. The lap swimming lanes are overcrowded, largely because the YMCA has been whittling down the hours available to swim. Ninety percent of the time I call to resolve an issue with the reservation system, no one is available to answer the phone. It goes straight to a recording. You actually have to drive there if you want to speak to a staff member. At $49/month, I really expect better. Its a grossly mismanaged organization, which is sad because I support their mission.

I've been teaching Zumba gold and cardio dance since 2015 at the West Valley Family YMCA. Everyone is wonderful and they offer programs for everyone in the family including the pool. I'm proud to be a member of the staff.

Not too bad. Good little area, great staff. great GYM to come work out in. Not over crowded at all. I can actually get a good work out in. has a soccer field, playground, heated pool, locker rooms and showers, but you have to bring your own lock. has some good poke stops as well if your into that. Always have good promotions if you come in at the right time. They also have a onsite child care to leave the kiddos so I can work out.l which is a major plus for us parents. I posted some photos, I’ll upload more when I can.

Every person that i met is so polite and accommodating. facilities are good. even the members who i met in each class are all awesome. i learned from them being the youngest among them, the seniors i feel so light whenever i am at The Y esp attending the group activities. it's a fun one.Having studied psychology as part of my undergraduate study … I know who the genuine people are. I have my third eye at my back. Not an alien but a singing karaoke alien fr #JAPAN HAI #Japonesa

Very disappointed on how they are now running sports at this location specifically soccer, my son has been playing soccer at this location since he was 3 years old, he is now 9. It has become sooo unorganized! Definitely not worth the money you pay as a non member. Games are always being canceled, they don't reschedule games, so what are we paying for. Definitely not the place to take your kids if the are competitive and love the sport! Recommend you look elsewhere.

I've been a member of Y since late 2017 though it was on and off meaning I cancel after three months then I resume after a few months. It's because of tight budget. But when I went back just last month ... in West VolleyFsmily YMCA. I got so excited to be a returning member again plus seeing some old faces like the maintenance staff Lily and the rest of those at the receptionist desk ... I love the ambience and it's very homely or comfy. This I regard as my third home for reasons like I feel at ease and at home I felt the care when I accidentally slip on the floor at the women's locker... my friendly suggestion is if there'd be some rubber mats on each shower spot. #SAFETY first because I've noticed in other branch, there are rubber mats. But over-all I love this branch west valley. The staff at the front desk are all accommodating and friendly to each Y member coming for a workout. Thanks YMCA. Two Thumbs up!!!
