We have been working with Standing Bear's Trading Post for at least the past 15-20 years. The quality of leather they provide is amazing and Sandi Howling Wolf Lightfoot is always easy to work with. I will 100% support this small business over any other large corporation trying to sell leather and leather supplies.

I love trying new crafts and Wayne, his staff and this shop are my new favorite things. Definitely patient people and extremely helpful. I live pretty far from the shop but after going there once on a recommendation from a friend, I'm unwilling to go anywhere else.

Go here! support a local American business.The owner, WC is a legend in the leather craft world. They have so much cool stuff for you to DIY. He also makes things himself for you to buy, or you could custom order something. Just go, you won't be disappointed. It might change your life!

Awesome place!!!! Wayne is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I needed a quick fix on some leather and he did it in 2 seconds. Clean and Great work! I highly suggest using standing bears for anything you need with leather in Los Angeles!!!

If I am in the area, I like to make a visit to this store. They have a good selection of materials and can help place orders for all the key suppliers. I wish I were more local and could attend classes. They are very willing to help and provide suggestions even later in the day near closing time.

Having just finished a short 4-week course on basic leather work, my husband and I thought it would be fun to continue with what we learned . . . and we found Standing Bear's Trading Post! What an absolute pleasure to be in a store where the subject - leatherworking, tooling, etc., - is so obviously known and enjoyed. We learned a lot in our time here at Standing Bear's, met owners Wayne and Sandy (and cat Josephine) and feel it a privilege to shop at a store that is generous and warm and welcoming to the customer. AAA+++ Well worth the investment to stop by and see what they offer to the community, for yourself, a child or grandchild the chance to learn from a skilled artisan begining and advanced lessons in leather craft/tooling. Very often opportunity like this can not easily be found in any community. They have professional quality material, supplies and tools at good prices, along with expert advice. I highly recommend anyone to visit this fine establishment.

When they didn't have an item I was looking for in stock they promptly emailed me back, referred me to another company, looked up all the item numbers I needed for the other company, and gave me helpful worksheets for working with leather. Rare to receive such great customer service these days. I am really happy with my experience with Standing Bear's trading Post!
