My clutch (actually the TOB) went out on my '04 Murcielago. As soon as the warranty expired, I learned to stay as far away from the dealership as possible. My regular mechanic was backed up, as were a few others referred by friends. So, I found European Auto Service through Google. I wanted to make sure I go to a place that works on exotics frequently. When I drove by, I saw dozens of Lambos, Ferraris, Astons, and a few McLarens (but I won't hold that against him!). This was a huge job; the engine and transmission had to come out, be taken apart, and put back together perfectly. Definitely a job that separates the men from the boys. He and his staff did exactly that, in record time, with quality, class and surgical precision.
He also found a series of serious issues that could have left me in a dire situation, a steering rack that was being held by strings, nearly blown out shocks, a few leaks and incorrect fluids in the gearbox. He showed me everything, took videos and got them all sorted out. I had purchased the fluids, plugs and coils -- he was nice enough to just change it all for me and didn't charge extra for it The staff are extremely well-trained and professional. His shop is busy, but runs like clockwork. It's very well-equipped, organized, and clean, with the latest equipment. They have everything your car might need, from an upholstery section with a huge selection of rare German and Italian leathers to a body shop with its own paint mixing/matching, powder coat room, and even a CNC machine.
When I got the car back, I was expecting some small thing forgotten like air pressure, or AC not charged or one thing or another. He combed through the whole car and it was perfect. The car runs perfectly, all the leaks fixed, the clutch and TOB replaced, steering rack and shocks rebuilt in 2 weeks. The car feels brand new. Even, the annoying sticky differential has finally stopped clicking after having dealt with it for almost 20 years thinking it's just how the car is. Lastly, the prices were very reasonable -- especially for the quality and all the extra he did.
I got talking to him a bit and found he, like me, has a passion for cars and a true car lover -- not a miserable mechanic trying to make a buck -- which explains the quality of his shop and work. Very happy I found John for all my toys!

Five stars isn't enough for John & everyone at European Auto. He’s not only extremely skilled, but very, very trustworthy. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our cars. Their expertise in bodywork AND everything mechanical is unmatched, and their commitment to honesty and integrity is truly admirable. After taking my Aston Martin to another shop in West LA and facing a hefty quote, I contacted John who was incredibly helpful from the first call, even assisting with the service request. Impressively, he offered transparent communication, sharing video updates throughout. John managed to perform the same repairs and more, charging less than half of the initial $10k+ estimate. His honesty, dedication, and work ethic are evident in their shop's quality. For anyone with a high-end vehicle, I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

John and his team have been amazing at European Auto Service. They have been helping me restore my 1971 Porsche 911-E. I inherited the car after my father passed and John and his team have been helping me with a restoration that works for me and my budget. They have been very personalized in their approach, and have treated the car & project as if it were their own. The shop has an awesome range of exotic cars both new and old. John and his team are superb. I took my BMW there to have my Bilsteins installed which was done very quick and for an incredible price. My car drives like the day it rolled off the line in 2006. Beyond the new shocks, they also diagnosed a snapped rear spring even 2 BMW service visits couldn’t find! Needless to say my M is not going anywhere else.

Had my PPI performed here for a used CPO Mk7.5 GTI S with low miles. John test drove and inspected everything with his team. Afterwards he gave me a complete walkthrough of all the potential issues as we looked at the underside of the car. Which included some badly repaired front and rear bumper damage from a potential accident not reported on the Carfax. Because of this and his other recommendations, I ultimately decided to return the vehicle. Thanks for saving me from a pretty expensive mistake.

I will never take my car to another repair place again. European Auto genuinely loves cars and will take amazing care of your car whether it's a Ferrari or a ten year old BMW hatch back. Highly recommended.
