Powicana is producing the best of the best–wines that are rich in flavor and that reflect the dedicated intent utilized throughout every step of production! Every sip, from their 2015 classics to their 2020 red, which I had the pleasure of tasting, is full of remarkable life and expresses the purity of their beautiful grapes. Native yeast, organic grapes, natural agriculture… Powicana is truly an unforgettable and phenomenal practice.Along with the delicious wine, the farm is also a beautiful getaway, abundant with the region’s beautiful sights: native neighboring forestland, diverse wildlife (and of course the farm’s lovely livestock), and impressive views that will always occupy my mind. The family imparts so much warmth onto the land and its visitors. They reflect so much of what is missing in modern wine production, an authentic production rooted in traditional practices, the human touch, and live wines! I’m so excited to come back and keep tasting more of what they have to offer.

Organic Petite Sirah that may be a favorite of Bacchus.

Family vineyards and wineries are my favorite, and Powicana stands out amongst all these places where owners strive with their own spirit, artistry, and physicality to craft this juice of the gods. And add into this Zoubeida, who brings her warmth and love to everything she does, and you have a unique winery in the hills of Mendocino County, producing and selling rich wine full of love.

An amazing chance to see a French family's farm and winery up close and personal. There's nothing fancy here - just a beautiful vineyard site and mountains and fields on a country road. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from tasting rooms and see a real farm winery run by French people living in America. This is a cultural experience you can't find anywhere else.

A little bit of France mixed in with the Mendocino county landscape and organic growing, they have been able to produce award winning wines consistently from their ten acre vineyard. I will mention though, it IS a true family ❤️ run operated business. You won't find a commercial tasting room or unwanted chemicals. Keep it real . I'll be going back for sure

Hi Folks! My name is Leah and I WWOOFed (farmed for free and received room and board) on Powicana Farm in the fall of 2017 (2 years ago) after undergrad.I spent maybe about 2 weeks there (maybe a tad more). The vineyard is great to live on (I tented outside) and the owners, Zoubeida and Remi, have animals too (dogs, chickens, etc.).It's an interesting space to come to and would recommend visiting (and WWOOFing). Zoubeida and Remi are interesting people and have a strong work ethic. Come during harvest season (fall time frame). Also if you WWOOF, food is extremely tasty (and the wine too they make). Great experience.
