Do yourself a favor and transfer your prescriptions out of this pharmacy. Both Redwood City locations are horrible for pharmacists and I'm a registered nurse. I have never had a pharmacy make it so hard to pick up insulin and the syringes that I need for my diabetic cat. This is the closest Rite Aid to my house. The prescription is normally sent to the San Mateo location for this reason, however this morning I ran out of syringes and needed more for my cats insulin injection. Anytime I try to go to this location or the woodside road location they make it almost impossible to buy addition syringes for my cats diabetic administration, when a prescription is not needed for syringes. They will sell syringes to people with drug addictions but they will not give me more syringes for my cat?! I of course know more than the average person regarding prescriptions due to my career in the health field and I have never met such incompetent pharmacists as I have at both Redwood City Rite Aid locations.

What’s the point to have a location if they don’t have money for receiving transaction, also they should tell you that before So you don’t waste time on the phone to do the transaction

I would give them 0 Stars, but I want this review to show up. THIS IS THE WORST PHARMACY. THEY TRY TO OVERRIDE YOUR MDs Prescriptions, don't answer their phone, close for Pharmacist breaks not on a set schedule. Have spotty text alerts for Prescriptions ready for pickup and insult you with their ignorance and wrong information about when they dispensed your medication even if you picked it up late. Roosevelt is the WORST of the 2 or 3 locations in Redwood City.

This is your 'average' neighborhood Rite Aid, sandwiched between Great Clips and Luckys. It's go all the things that a convenient store / pharmacy would have. The Pharmacy's customer service is very good and they're prompt in filling prescriptions. No complaints. Will return and continue to fill any necessary medications here...

Iwould not even rate them 1 star. The pharmacist is very rude, no patient care at all. The Technician is just as rude and yells instead of just speaking to you. They claim your medication will be available and you call to find out they don't have it. I have had previous issues with this pharmacy and spoke to the pharmacy manager who was going to meet to implement leadership and customer skills with them. My last and final attempt to fill a medication was yesterday, the technician yelled at me and then hung up.Take your prescriptions to Roosevelt or over to CVS at Sharon Heights where customer service is a top priority.

They have a good selection of items for purchase but they have lost my business due to how rude the lady I talked to in the pharmacy was just now. I wanted to transfer prescription from CVS and she made it sound like I was bothering her. If people aren't happy in their job why don't they just leave?!

Most of the time I walk in they say hi welcome to Rite Aid when I asked for help to find something they always help me I mean you do have a few new people that still need to be trained but that's anywhere nowadays

I called letting them know I would be 2 mins late versus closing and that without the meds I wouldn't be able to sleep and they told me coldly "we close at 9" not even a sorry. Horrible customer service, horrible call manners.

We have been going to this store for over a decade. It has always been well stocked and has good sales. The employees are always cheerful and helpfu! Especially Linda! When I come in she always smiles and says welcome. And when leaving she always says have a good day! Being retired I don't get out much and think of her as an old friend. I am very impressed by their dedication in sticking with the job during the pandemic! Other stores are losing employees but not Rite Aid.

This pharmacy does not ever have a prescription ready when it should. DO NOT GO HERE. Go to any other Pharmacy near you. This place is a nightmare. Today there was one letter off in my name but my address and everything else was right. I was very sick and they made me sit there for two hours while they contacted my doctor. I probably got everyone else sick while I was waiting there. That pharmacist knew the prescription was for me. She was on a power trip. I'm not surprised I endured this because my experience was only par for the course at Woodside Plaza pharmacy. They must pay horribly and so they hire the people no one else will employ.

This is a sorry excuse for a pharmacy. Came in for my COVID-19 booster shot. Had an appointment at 5 PM. I was right on time and was asked to wait in the waiting area. At 5.20, I mentioned again that I was here for my COVID-19 vaccination and was told that "she" was going to call me in and that I should wait. There was nobody else waiting and nobody else was getting any shots so it was not that there were many people in front if me. At 5.45 PM, 15 minutes before closing times, I asked if they were still planning to give me a shot? Ah, they had called me and I was not there? Really, I was there waiting the whole time and NOBODY had called me. I finally got my shot but instead of putting the booster and my original shots on the same card, they gave me a second one and when I asked to put it on one, I had to come back on Monday to talk to the pharmacy manager. What do they think, people just have time to wait for them, make trips to the pharmacy for fun? Very disrespectful of people's time and unprofessional.

I came to the pharmacy for my first covid vaccination and the girl from the pharmacy was very rude and sarcastic. The vaccines started at 930, I arrived earlier than normal, they treated me at almost at 10 am. They do not have education to welcome the customers

Went to pick up a prescription. Female person at the register said that there was nothing to pick up, there was nothing pending or was called in. I asked her to check since I was sure there was a prescription called in early in the morning, but she said there was nothing. Came back 10 mins later. Same person said it was not ready, and need to come back 30 minutes later because the pharmacist is at lunch. Another pharmacist was present, but said was not processing prescriptions at the time, and that the other pharmacist will need to do it. Will never fill a prescription at this location again. Never had an issue with efficiency at the Roosevelt store.

I went in for my friends vaccine. The vaccine process was smooth. They have signs everywhere which was helpful as the pharmacy is located at the back. But they were calling everyone by proper allotted times and the wait time was hardly 5 min. After the vaccine they ask us to wait for 15 min in store. While doing that I was browsing the store and thought of picking up few things in my list. Pros :- - they have everything. From household items to alcohol to beauty items. I could see all sections. - they have a small waiting area where they have put some seats for people to wait post getting shot. Cons :- - so many items in the store were missing. I could see so many empty shelves. Wanted to buy frozen pizza for the house but the one I wanted was also sold it. The shelf was empty. - the prices of beauty items were high. But most of the items in beauty section were on buy 1 get 2nd at 50% off. So it was good if you have 2 items in the list to buy. I just wanted to buy an eyeliner and the price was more then what it usually is. Overall a decent experience. 4 stars as the vaccine process was pretty smooth. Wish to see less empty shelves though.

There's a sign outside that says "we do curbside pickup." I called for curbside pickup when I arrived, since we're still in the midst of a global pandemic, I'm not vaccinated and from my car parked right in front, I saw a TON of people going in and out of the store. Including an employee who picked up a mask OUT OF THE TRASH and put it on his face as he walked in and back behind the front counter. I mean, he at least is probably already vaccinated, but it's still pretty gross. Someone else's mouth was breathing in that mask, and it was touching other peoples' trash right before he put it on his own face. Different people have different comfort levels, and I'd rather not go into the store. Anyway, my prescription was supposed to be ready at 6pm, but it wasn't ready when I got there at 8:15. I asked the girl who answered the phone in the pharmacy if they were doing curbside pickup and she said it was close to closing, so maybe not--she sounded annoyed. It was 8:18 and they close at 9:00pm. Really not all that close. The prescription would be ready in ten minutes, she said. I really needed it tonight, so I said, "Great! I'll come back in 10 minutes and call, okay? Can you do curbside then?" "Well, like I said, it's close to closing so there might not be anyone there to do curbside," she responded. Really? At 8:30? When the pharmacy closes at 9 (though the store is open till 10)? So, I called back in 10 minutes, and I don't know if it was the same girl or a different girl (I think her name was Rebecca, but I'm not sure), said I would have to come inside to sign for the prescription. "Did you sign up to do curbside?" Well, I have picked up curbside once before and it was no problem. I got there, called, and someone came out to my car. That person said that's how it worked. You come, you call, they come out. Easy. That was not too long ago--a couple months. So, this time, I said, "Could you just bring it to the door? You don't have to come to my car. Just bring it to the door?" Nope. I honestly don't care if she lobs the prescription out the open door from 25 feet away. Just toss it out the door and I'll catch it. She would not bring it to the door. I needed to sign for it INSIDE. Can't they have me sign for it outside the door? I believe they do have printing capabilities, right? There's this thing called paper and pen? How was I able to pick it up outside before? I believe it's the same prescription, even. She made up some BS about us needing to be signed up for texts in order to do curbside delivery this time. So, I called my husband who was the one who set up the prescription. He said he is already signed up for texts, but he wasn't able to get into the account and figure it out in the short amount of time--while I was on the phone with him trying to figure it out, they closed the doors to the store. If they do make you sign up for texts or do something online, that's a huge barrier for the elderly, who could benefit from curbside delivery. It seems pretty messed up to say you can't just call it in. Anyway, as I said, I think this is BS. In the end, I had to go inside. I slammed open the door dramatically and ran down the aisle like a maniac, trying not to breathe. There was nobody waiting at the pharmacy in front of me (though there were other people walking around the store and someone came up behind me at the pharmacy window) but the pharmacists were taking their time. They didn't know where the prescription was when I got there, which is so weird since I called twice about it. So I had to wait for them to find it. Then I had to use a pen used by all the other randos picking up prescriptions that day to sign for the prescription, while breathing in the Rite Aid Pharmacy air. I honestly feel violated. There is no good reason she couldn't have come out at 8:30 and saved a customer (and other customers) the health risk and anxiety of coming into the pharma
