Ordered a super Carne Asada burrito. It was absolutely cold and gross! Additionally, I ordered a Menudo which is OK. However, they overcharged me. Definitely not coming back to this place. I can't believe anyone would serve a cold burrito.

Had a really disappointing experience with the food and the quantity of food at Chavez redwood city. I ordered a kids plate and the price that they charged me $14 for it which had barely any rice and beans and a piece of chicken. I had to ask for more rice on top of what they were serving me with. Disappointed since i really like going to this store

Well-stocked supermarket, great butcher, friendly staff and a delicious taqueria! The lengua was probably the best I've ever eaten. The next day I had the fish tacos and was very happy. Everything is fresh, the service is swift, and there is an enthusiastic client base. How fortunate it feels to shop, and reward yourself for the errands with such yumminess. One small detail about the supermarket, they also have a good selection of piñatas, and the jamaican hibiscus, was the most fragrant I've ever had. Very fresh, crispy and sweet jicama in the produce section. And if you like sour candy...

I have been going to get burritos at Chavez since it was only one tiny store on Old County Rd. so basically 20 years. I remember the giant burritos pre-pandemic that could easily have been two meals at a reasonable price. Haven't been for a while so I stopped in because they still have excellent chips. Decided to grab some food. The flavor was good, same as always, but I ordered a super burrito and received something the size of a baby burrito at most other places for a much higher price. I ate the whole thing, which I had never been able to do before. I get there's inflation but give the people some extra rice or something jeez.

The market is nicely stocked but I can't get my fill of the great tasting fresh hot food from the taqueria, wonderful!

Just bit into a Carne Asada burrito and cracked a molar. Turns out there was a small pebble in my burrito. I don't know how that got in there. Maybe from the refried beans. I don't even want to finish this burrito. I asked the cashier at the food counter for a supervisor , I thought she was going to get them but after several minutes I asked again, and her response was, 'you can go to the office and ask for one if you'd like.' So now I'm waiting in line to see if I can speak to a manager. Customer service was cool, i got my money back and threw that burrito in the trash. Now I have to wait for management to contact me. And on top of that call my dentist. I'll keep yall posted.3 days later no response.

This is my favorite place to order burritos de carne asada. I only wish they wouldn't be so stingy on the meat. I love cilantro and onions, but that too i need to ask extra.

Man this taqueria used to be my go to, I just went in and got a super burrito carnitas they gave me the smallest burrito I've ever had for $15 and the portion of meat is crazy. If you want good Mexican food check out La hacienda in Menlo Park there food doesn't disappoint I won't be coming back here anymore

Never again, not only did i get SICK from the food, but the "super taco" idkn why its called "super" when it was a simple taco with a little bit of guacamole and old cheese was $6.95 !! A complete scam and ripoff, avoid it and buy elsewhere where the tacos are $1.50 and wont get u sick.

I think they raised prices because Atherton folks might as well pay it. So I can't blame them. Average/not great tacos

This use to be a great place but by the day it keeps getting worse. $12 burrito you can't even taste the meat beacause there is hardly any even rice and beans. My 8 year old ate it all and was still hungry that's how tiny it was. Better off ordering tacos or something else the menu.

Their taqueria, for god's sake! needs to start taking food orders over the phone as it is more convenient for someone who may not have the luxury of ordering food online, or wanting to wait 4 hours for the BBQ meat to be cooked and ready to take home. Who does that!!?? They want to be difficult I'll take my business elsewhere!! Another dissatisfied customer, out the door!! It tastes like Boot Leather!!

Wow. I was dying to visit this place for a burrito that I use to live on during college. Super disappointed in my $11.99 burrito that lacked flavor and size. Minimal meat, barely any cheese or sour cream. It is conforming to what seems to be happening with most places , charge more and get so so much less. Last burrito here, no need to stop anymore at this spot, super bummer to be robbed of the nostalgia.
