I have been banking at Wells Fargo Redwood Shores located at the Nobhill grocery store for nearly 8 years, a very convenient location for me. Well, while I've had good experience with the bankers, I have also occasionally came across unprofessional attitude by female rookie bankers, but hey no big deal. Last night 1/22, at around 6 PM I approached the counter said hello... hi ...with a smile, but was (greeted is not the right word really) received by a new and young employee. She didn't respond with any courtesy that is customary even had a frown pissed off face, as if I'm spending HER hard earned money. I asked questions about my deposit but I got my answers in a very rude and unprofessional manner, I understand protocol but the way it's delivered makes the difference. If they keep this up I'll have to file an official complaint.

Once before, I saw they threaten an angry customer with calling security, today they did the same to us after they wasted more than an hour of our time with their ignorance. When I realized the banker doesn't know the basic things that he should have known after wasting 40 minutes, I asked for his supervisor who closed his door right away. Then the banker went into that room and won't come out for 20 minutes while they still holding our ID and ATM cards. So our only choice was to ask the teller to get at least one of them to come out. But another female banker accused us talking to tellers and threatened to call security. BTW, during that hour, we can see most of the people coming to the counter because the ATM was not working. They would reply: yeah, it needs to be fixed. Why don't you put an "out of order" sign on the ATM then? Wasting so many people's time! We later went home and wanted to file complaint online. Their online communication area only give you choices of "questions" not complaint. And they only allow 1000 characters, which is not enough to describe half of what happened to us!

I came to the Branch Sunday Afternoon July 17 around 330pm. At that time suppose to be a drama free period. At that time, the poor old lady before me was waiting to be service. The lady was having hard time to stand so I offer her a chair to sit. For some reason, the teller didnt want to call a back up to service her. Until almost is my turn . I ask the teller why she didn't ask for help to the elderly woman. The teller basically told me none of my business. I came often to this branch, I notice the service had gone down a lot.

They are now providing even less service than before. My wife went in to transfer funds, asked them to enter the amount. They refused. Exact Quote from teller, "We can't enter the amount for you because we might get the numbers wrong". I complained online to Wells Fargo about this and received a call from Pria (sp?) at the branch. Didn't bother to listen, or even try to understand my frustration. Just told me flat out they would not even provide that minimal level of service.

Omg... So... for simple transactions, this is a very convenient location, but extremely disappointing otherwise. I came in and asked for one simple thing - to lower the APR on my existing credit card. Some context - earlier that same day I called Capital One and asked them for the same thing - they said, Ok! and lowered my APR by 50% for the next year. Now, cut back to WF : the branch manager and his banker talked me into applying for a new credit card, after I repeatedly asked for a lower interest on my existing line and declined a loan. They insisted. I thought - well, these guys are bankers, they can't be total idiots. And, unfortunately, I agreed to apply for another credit card. The whole process resulted in a declined credit application for WAY more money than I needed, no financing change on my existing line, and a lower credit score. Thanks guys, I am actually WORSE off after talking to you than I was a week ago. I did call customer service after this, and they directed me to the WF credit card department, where a lovely woman offered actually useful advice. If you need ANYTHING other than cashing a check, DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. The guys here are not helpful.

I usually only write reviews when I have an amazing experience, however, my most recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth that I can't help but leave a review. I was trying to deposit a check from a different bank into my WF account. The teller told me there would be a 2 week hold. I asked her if there was anything to be done for it to be a shorter holding period and she said rudely "Yeah go to your other bank and deposit the check there." Seriously? The check was large but not extraordinary large. I've deposited checks that were for home down payments which were extremely large and had less of a holding period than 2 weeks. Later my husband tells me he deposited a check 5 times as much as mine at a different WF bank and they only put a 7 day hold. I really was bothered by the tellers attitude and lack of willingness to help. I almost wanted to close all my accounts there because of her.

The tellers here have always been great, Anthony and Brittany have been awesome here. Thank you very much Brittany helping me out with my last minute check cashing. You were great! Keep up the great work! I will definitely be coming back as soon as I get another paycheck or have anything to do with my savings account.

I have gone to this location for years. I would literally pass other branches to come here. I switched to a credit union about 8 months ago. Today I brought ROLLED coins to this location. Refused to accept them because I am not a member. Then refused to open a membership for me. Good job Wells Fargo! Now you know why I left...

The majority of the personnel are not familiar with their own Wells Fargo policies and procedures. Untrained staff = a longer wait time. However to be fair, there are are a couple of exceptions, but they are not enough to maintain any type of a quality experience. Also stepping into this branch you will feel as if you we're transported back into the 1950's with the dust on the cubicle windows as proof....

I've reviewed a couple of other Wells Fargo locations. This gets the highest rating, mainly because of its convenient location. But (as I've stated in the other reviews), the tellers are annoyingly friendly. Hey, tellers, I know your boss told you to be pleasant. But learn to read body language. If I seem tired and I'm giving you short, one-word answers and I seem to be in a hurry, I do NOT want to chat with you. I just want my transaction completed as quickly as possible. You're a bank, right? Not a bar.

These guys are awesome. They are always extremely helpful and kind. If they see me going by with a shopping cart they'll say hello to me by name which always surprises me.

I come here several times a week for business deposits and always leave with a smile. The men and women that work at this Wells Fargo are saints! They all work so well as a team and generally enjoy talking to you about your day. I have yet to have a bad experience. Above and beyond service and attitude! Keep it up and great job to this Wells Fargo Team!

It's really the staff that makes this place so nice to do biz with. I concur on all counts in regards to the wells Fargo staff at this loci! I almost want to change banks, but the staff at my other bank at Provident is just a great.

Top notch staff, both friendly and professional, I like them all. A great personal bank to use, and now because of the great service, this is the only Well Fargo I use. Eric is great, always willing to help with all my banking needs. All the staff knows you and it's like having your own private bank. As soon as a line starts forming, the staff is right on it and moves it right along. Yes, I'm a satisfied customer and do recommend them to friends.
