“Places like this are hard to come by: family-owned, lots of vintage and other secondhand gems, and great prices. You will find something unique here. I was also really happy with the size range - I found lots of great trousers and suits in sizes 12-20. Lovely, friendly staff as well.”

“I’ve been having so much fun buying things at Turnstyle. Being that it’s run by volunteers their service is always excellent, the shop is extremely clean well organized and such a pleasure to shop there for really great deals.”

“This is a tiny shop with somewhat limited hours. But if you go at the right time, you'll find some treasures for a very reasonable price! Nice people work there. Check it out!”

“I stumbled upon this gem today while walking around the area. Such a great selection of shoes and clothing for great prices. I found a really nice DKNY winter coat for $30, Patagonia button up shirt for $20, and Sam Edelman boots for $20. I will definitely come back as the employees said they get new shipments every day and get first pick of the nicest clothes given to Goodwill in the Bay Area.”

“Great selection of items at this store and the staff is always friendly and helpful. You never know what you will find so it's best to go often. I also like to bring my nicer donations here (versus Goodwill). I know they will be sold for a higher price and the funds go to a great cause. Enjoy!”

“Fantastic thrift store in Menlo Park, I'm so glad I found this spot! This place has some great designer clothing (French Connection, Calvin Klein), shoes, children's clothing and other thrift gems at incredible prices! I got a wonderful suede button up for only 2$! I will be coming back (:”

“There's a sad lack of quality thrift shops in Fremont ever since my beloved Thrift town closed about five years ago. Recently, we were visiting a store in San Carlos and I looked up thrift shops nearby and came across Thrift center. I was amazed from the moment I watched through the doors. It's clean, very well organized, large, and the items there are higher quality than I've seen another thrift shops. We left with a beautiful leather office chair that was $25, marked at 50% off, so I practically stole it at $12.50. There were some beautiful designer blouses that I snagged, at such low prices that I could not believe my eyes! My companion got four Quality shirts and we left having paid only $43 for everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there are quite a few employees always around, tidying up, or adding new clothes to the racks. All of the employees I tried speaking with only spoke Spanish, but the nice gentleman at the checkout spoke English. My only complaint is that the clothes are not arranged by size, So you have to do some digging to find your size. That could be a bit time-consuming when it comes to men's pants. But the clothes ARE arranged by color, which is nice.. The parking lot is behind the store. You can park on the street directly behind the store and walk through the small parking lot to get to the store. There's also driveway entrance that you can't see very well, immediately after the gas station. All in all, I can't wait to get back there with some friends. It's definitely worth the Dumbarton bridge toll!”

“The displays of items are always timely and attractively stocked. Special sale prices often give extra savings. The staff are helpful, pleasant and cheerful. We always find wonderful clothes or household items that we are very happy with and enjoy.”

“This is a good store if you want to find good branded items. You won't find rock-bottom prices, but they might have brands like J.Crew,J.Jill,Banana Republic,Chicos,Ralph Lauren, and more. The types of items are neatly arranged--jeans,tops,dresses,outerwear, and there are also some housewares as well. There is a good selection of shoes such as Tom's--it amy be hit or miss on sizes, but you can always come back another time. The male employee is friendly and helpful. The clothes all seem to be in good condition.”

“I'm an avid thrifter and this is one of the better thrift stores I've come across. Everything is pretty reasonably priced for what it is, especially compared to Goodwill and other thrifts. They definitely do price certain items a little higher (name brands, new with tags, etc.) but it's not as terrible as most other places, and still a place I'd recommend to find some treasures on a budget. The store is clean and nicely organized. I went on a Thursday afternoon so it wasn't too busy and not super loud/hectic. Can't speak for weekends or other popular times. The store is predominantly womens' clothes. They have a good variety in brands, prices, and types of clothing. They have a good mix of vintage and more "modern, trendy" brands and styles. The child and men's section is a little on the smaller side, so if you're primarily looking for that, you won't have as much luck. Though I am on the younger side, I do enjoy how this store doesn't try to cater to my age group or "trends", so they attract a more considerate customer base in my opinion. I didn't interact with the employees aside from checkout but the woman was very nice :)”

“I call this the "high end thrift shop". You can find some nice things but kind of overpriced most of the time. I grew up on second hand stores and very aware of pricing. Most people who shop at thrift stores are on a limited budget, like myself. Sadly cannot always afford some of the items due to overpricing. I realize it goes to a good cause but still disappointing since everything is donated after all.”

“This is a larger location with three rooms worth of items. It's a little messy on the inside, but everything is generally where it belongs. The staff are nice and the selection is decent. They've got all the movies and video games on a little shelf in the first room. Valuables are up front per usual.”

“I have shopped here for many years and find this to be a good store with mostly friendly, very helpful staff and a nice selection of items, which are well organized. My only complaint would be regarding a rude female employee (shoulder length dark hair, glasses, stocky build) who I have regularly encountered not delivering the same level of service as the rest. If you happen to be there at closing time, you'll likely know who she is. The sign indicates that the store closes at 7:00, however at least 30 minutes prior to that she begins dimming the lights, turning off the music and making numerous, rather demanding announcements and informing people as they shop, that they need to discontinue shopping and check out. More than once, at 6:45 or sooner, I've heard her announcing that the store is now closed. The last time I was there, she had everyone out of the store and the door locked at 6:50 PM. As a former business owner myself, I would want to know if I had employees who were closing up shop early and running people out the door before the posted closing time.”

“When a gal goes to a goodwill to find vintage or (gasp) antique treasures she isn’t there for their award winning customer service. She’s there to bob and weave, squat, lean, hawk eye each and every isle ( twice!) to ensure she walks away with at least one epic item she didn’t know she needed. Now, will I tell you exactly what I’ve found several times in this thrift? Nope! But I can whisper to you there is some awesome vintage kitchen on those shelves if you are committed to digging around. The carts here get swarmed when pulled out so don’t even try to win that tussle. To be successful Just be patient, ignore the hot/ humid smell, the lackluster customer service AND GET YOUR TREASURE. It’s a goodwill folks, not a fancy shop. Going in with this mindset will make the experience for you much better. Side note, it also makes the experience for their employees much better.”
