Went here for a quick trip on New Year's Eve with my boyfriend, we were both tired and must have made three separate mistakes in self check out-- Tricia was there to help us and she was AMAZING, great personality extremely quick and just all and all an amazing help. She had gorgeous heart earrings and was wearing a personality and really seemed like such a kind person, thank you Tricia for all the help!!

Leaving a one star for fellow "Dice" his customer service was plain rude, throwing attitude at us off the bat for no reason and ended up rejecting our service because of a MINOR INCONVENIENCE. Not sure if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed because he had to work on New Year's Eve. Never had any issues at my local Safeway until this guy went on his high horse of "authority"

Got here before closing. I didn't realize that as most Safeways where I live close at a later time, and it's on me for not checking. But there wasn't an announcement that told anyone that they were closing. Someone yelled something at me while I was down the aisle, but I asked if they were talking to me because they were completely on the other side of the aisle and I didn't hear them, and she just walked away. By the time I walked up to the register with another customer, the same lady was snipping at me that they were closed and everything was closed already. Then another worker yells as he passes, "come on! People got to get home to their families!"I checked the time, thinking I must have kept them for a half hour past closing or something. It was 6 minutes past closing. I get that it's a long day and they want to go home, and I apologize for that, but geesh, yelling at me down an aisle when I can't hear you, and making me feel guilty when it was an honest mistake felt like a bit much. You would have thought I dropped a glass bottle on the floor for them to clean up and demanded they cleaned it! The rudeness from the employees didn't feel like it matched the offense.

Shopping was fine, when I got to checkout, Dora seemed to have a problem with me. I’m not sure why, but she was rude from the start and only got worse. Called me ‘honey’ in a very derogatory disrespectful way. I won’t be shopping here anymore.

I really liked that store it has everything i need, but as a traveler in my RV, i had an encounter with a security guard in the parking lot, threatening me to give me a citation for unlawful activity and he talked to me about tax evasion when I'm not even American.I showed him my Safeway receipt to prove I'm just a regular customer doing legal activities.**Please Safeway do something about this kind of behavior?!?I won't comeback to this store ever again.

Update: 10/6/2023Store management requesting a security presence inside their store must agree to a contract signing and follow state legislation laws before security can execute patrols and said requests from store management.During my time, working at Safeway 305, from July 2018 to December 2021 delivering groceries to residential and commercial customers I thought this would be a great career advancement, what a mistake that was! GroceryWorksDotCom should really take the time to train their employees better and accurately, instead of standing/sitting around the work space, acting like they know what they're doing, when all they do is just take long extended breaks, talk negative about other grocery workers, discriminate and harass (under the radar), it's co-worker vs co-worker at store 305, and they leave the DotCom work place a mess, having other grocery workers clean up after their mess. They're only interested in collecting a paycheck each week, They make the delivery drivers wait for a long period to load up their assigned routes in the delivery trucks, leaving the chilled and frozen products, including all raw meats sit outside of the chill box and freezer for more than 10 minutes, after DotCom Shoppers have completed picking the items for delivery, they don't care if cold and frozen food products are left outside the chiller and freezer boxes, only to make their customers become ill from food poisoning! surprisingly that OSHA hasn't made a special appearance, yet! Not to mention expired foods being re-shelved!! Seriously!?? How long is this store going to keep poisoning their customers!?? Their HR must be doing a really doing good job about this! NOT!! And DoorDash keeps mixing orders, stealing orders, refusing to take orders, not delivering complete orders and taking cash tips from customers after delivering half of the customer's order! There is no support from management, no communication and requested hours to work for overtime are not approved! Overworked, underpaid overstressed and unappreciated, and little to no support from the union! Hazard Pay (and overtime) is not approved to delivery drivers, and the un-vaccinated show up without a mask, coughing on all the produce! And who in their right mind steals wrapping paper!?? You might as well steal a fargnignoogen from the parking lot while your at it!! I wouldn't suggest nor would I recommend working at Safeway 305! It's nothing more than just a dead end job with no career advancement, and/or the career advancement goes to the wrongfully promoted with less work skills! At least the air is much better on the outside!! I can finally breathe again! Anyone who wants to breathe better and not get Covid, avoid Safeway store 305! I hate this Safeway with a burning passion. Every single delivery order or pickup has had multiple missing items. The customer service is infuriating and can rarely help with these issues, insisting that you call the equally infuriating phone support for refunds. I have even had employees tell me they will give me a refund, take my receipts, then never refund the items. At this point I have over $50 in items they need to refund because they were never delivered.They will strand customers waiting for pickup in the parking lot, not telling them they need to come inside because they don’t have enough delivery employees to bring the groceries out. The prices online are also significantly higher than the in store prices.When I shop in store, the checkout employees range from unengaged to straight up rude, and every single trip to the store, at least one item that I need is out of stock.The prices are just as high as Whole Foods across the street, but the store experience and produce quality is dramatically worse. Multiple times police have had to be called while I was there due to screaming homeless in the store.I’m going to start shopping in Menlo Park instead, because this place is only going to become more of a nightmare once the Sequoia Station construction starts.I don’t know why Californian grocery stores are such a mess compared to other parts of the country like the Northeast or the Midwest. I just know that I used to like going to the grocery, and now it is a horrible harangue that ends in headaches and missing items every weekend.

I called this Safeway location to see if they had any Yakults in-stock after seeing that other grocery places were sold out, there were about 2-3 people on the look out to see that they were in stock. I just wanna say Thank you SO much for just an amazing customer service team. Thank you!

I wanted to take the time to give a review to the asian gentleman working the hot food counter on June 28th around 6:30pm, I have been to safeway hot food counter many times before but this time was different because of him, he was so friendly and kind and made me feel valued as a customer, thank you.

Now I am sure everyone has their own perspective when it comes to this Safeway. For me it goes both ways. As it reminds me of a life I was in after suddenly losing my home. As for the human beans outside that may be disruptive or els. I pay no mind to. As I noticed most are good, lost untill they find there way back. Now the store it's self does get impacted by such clients. I'd be hard not to. Yet at any station am attended at an greeted with a smile and a huge welcome.For me it's also a reminder of the blessings I've received ?. Not only by God but by good ordinary hard working folk. Here in Redwood City #1 City in the Bay!
