This pharmacy will screw up even the most basic and routine prescription. Happens every single time. You can call ahead to make sure it is all ready and they will assure you it is, but you will wait 60 minutes and end up fighting. Every time. It’s just better to drive further to any other pharmacy.

Do yourself a favor and transfer your prescriptions out of this pharmacy. Both Redwood City locations are horrible for pharmacists and I'm a registered nurse. I have never had a pharmacy make it so hard to pick up insulin and the syringes that I need for my diabetic cat. This is the closest Rite Aid to my house. The prescription is normally sent to the San Mateo location for this reason, however this morning I ran out of syringes and needed more for my cats insulin injection. Anytime I try to go to this location or the woodside road location they make it almost impossible to buy addition syringes for my cats diabetic administration, when a prescription is not needed for syringes. They will sell syringes to people with drug addictions but they will not give me more syringes for my cat?! I of course know more than the average person regarding prescriptions due to my career in the health field and I have never met such incompetent pharmacists as I have at both Redwood City Rite Aid locations.

We usually go to the Pharmacy. They have such a friendly staff, who are always nice, kind and helpful. Prescriptions are filled quickly and ready to pick up on time.

The worst experience I have ever had with a pharmacy. After a rude voicemail telling me I had to pick up a prescription by Sunday, I arrived to find that they were "closing for lunch" and to come back later. I was unable to. The pharmacists then rushed to give me the wrong prescription. He was yelling rudely, condescending, Another customer there at the same time was also angry with her treatment, reporting that this has happened every time that she comes to pick up a prescription - they are "closing for lunch'. I have made arrangements to have my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy. Avoid this place.

It takes forever to get a new or refilled prescription. If you ask to wait they tell you 2 to 3 hours. Like another reviewer, my container was short of the stated medication.

I would give them 0 Stars, but I want this review to show up. THIS IS THE WORST PHARMACY. THEY TRY TO OVERRIDE YOUR MDs Prescriptions, don't answer their phone, close for Pharmacist breaks not on a set schedule. Have spotty text alerts for Prescriptions ready for pickup and insult you with their ignorance and wrong information about when they dispensed your medication even if you picked it up late. Roosevelt is the WORST of the 2 or 3 locations in Redwood City.

After having problems with Safeway using my GoodRx discount I transferred my prescription to RiteAid. So far so good.They take it and although I have to wait until they call them about the price, usually the wait isn't very long. Nice clean store too.
