**Review for Powerhouse Gym**My friend and I have been loyal members of Powerhouse Gym for over 14 years, and we absolutely love it here. From the moment we walk in, we feel incredibly welcome. The owner, Rob, always waves when he sees us and takes the time to chat, making us feel like part of the Powerhouse family.Our journey began with a free session donated by the gym to our school auction, and we've been hooked ever since. We started training regularly and haven't looked back. Anytime we've encountered an issue, Greg, the manager, has been quick to resolve it, ensuring our experience remains top-notch.The trainers at Powerhouse Gym are AMAZING! Our trainer, Gerber, is exceptional—his expertise and dedication have made a significant difference in our fitness journey. We couldn't imagine going anywhere else. If you're looking for a welcoming, supportive, and professional gym, Powerhouse is the place to be!

This review is a LONG time coming. I have been a member of Powerhouse for almost 3 years now and I absolutely LOVE this gym. Before the pandemic I was pretty over 24 hour fitness with the lack of cleanliness and disorganization of most of the 24s I'd been to. When I found Powerhouse I fell in love. The gym is always super clean, weights put away in their proper spots, bathrooms/showers are very clean, and the staff is friendly and always super helpful! There is a great variety of equipment which is always very well maintained. I also love that there is a turf area and multiple squat racks. I love this gym so much that I even drive 20 minutes from home to go every morning!

Good luck trying to get ahold of staff on the phone. The phone is rarely answered, and the VM is full. When the phone is answered, typically the staff member is unable to assist, and it’s a miracle if there’s a manager on site that is willing and able to assist. The customer service at this gym is abysmal. They do not care about their customers and only want to collect membership fees from folks. If you don’t mind terrible customer service then you should be fine here. The facility and equipment is clean, up to date, and in good working order. The restroom and locker rooms are pretty clean and maintained well. The place smells like a gym, but I’ve definitely experienced much worse odor at other gyms. Good luck!

Powerhouse gym is my favorite gym in the Bay Area. Other gyms don't quite compare! They have an awesome front desk who's always there to greet you, personal trainers who focus on your needs, and the overall cleanliness is amazing. There is a variety of equipment, which is never too packed, along with free 90 minute parking that works perfect. They have a variety of reasonably priced martial arts classes for children and adults, that even include a gym membership. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a change!

Great spot in downtown Redwood City! Extremely Clean, friendly staff and solid amenities. Weight lifting area is proper and has great attachments for pully systems. 10/10

Overall experience is positive.Gym has a nice setup & Zen music in the bathrooms/locker room.Felipe was my coach he did an awesome job. (show results).Monthly dues a little bit on the high side (comes with a clean towel ?).Also wish free parking was 2 hours instead of 90 minutes. (Might want check if the gym can validate parking like the movie theatres).Definitely would recommend this gym to others!

Update: I appreciate the response here. And glad to see the care to look into the matter. The gym is a great place with good equipment and facilities so nothing much to complain about. The towel service is nice to have as well.Really disappointed in my experience leaving this gym today. I lost track of time and accidentally stayed in the gym at 7. It wasn’t even a minute or 2 over and one of the employees came up to me with an attitude and very rude to kick me out instead of nicely making me aware it was after 7. They then proceeded to do the same thing to my wife who was doing cardio with the same rudeness. I’ve brought 3 other members to this gym and get that kind of treatment when I make a mistake? It would be nice to feel valued as a customer instead of seen as a nuisance. Will edit my review once this is addressed.

Clean, good equipment, great staff and the owner is a friend of mine. Can't go wrong with this gym. Great location too, parking right next door and lots of places to eat when your done working out within walking distance.

The staff is awesome and the place is very clean! The only thing missing are cleaning/wiping stations throughout the facility. The wipes are usually located near the front desk, so you have to walk to get a wipe, then go clean equipment. Other than that, bathrooms/locker rooms are super clean; I use the showers frequently! The equipment is new and there's plenty of attachments, exercise bands, massage rollers, plates, etc.

I have belonged to Powerhouse Gym Elite in RWC since 2019, and have had a fantastic experience. I use the personal training services, know a lot of the regulars, and feel at home when I am there. It's a great small gym with all the equipment you need and a good vibe. Easy and cheap to park in the underground garage and central to everything.
