Johnston Millwork is definitely a 5-star rated company. They are dedicated to taking care of their customers. In my case, I wanted a very specific style entry door. Martin and his team created exactly the door I was looking for at a reasonable price. He double measured, gave me an honest time estimate and asked me to approve the work every step of the way. He even asked me to approve the color of the stain before applying the finishing coat. The result is the quality built and installed door of my dreams.

I've been working with Johnston Millwork since the 80's (oh my!) and just had the fabulous experience of working together on a custom vanity. Martin listens!!!! and is an expert and creating what is wanted and do-able. His installers were meticulous and left the site spotless. Expect great things under Martin's relatively new ownership. He genuinely cares about creating a "wow" product and "wow" customer experience.

This place is the best. Over the years they have helped me with a diverse range of projects, with flawless results and excellent customer service.
Martin has been my source for trim, molding and anything else finish carpentry related. He's also executed custom millworks projects for some very specific, high-end jobs.
Ray is my go-to for doors. He's delivered on many custom projects, helping me get the perfect interior, exterior, or pocket doors.
Jane is the best of all, ensuring prompt and effective communication to all clients. Her customer service makes every visit to JMI an efficient and pleasant experience.
This place rocks, they have helped me keep MY clients satisfied over and over. I'm glad to be a customer here.

The Best without a doubt in millwork. I started making doors, windows, cabinets, moldings and all the custom millwork in 1997. It was a great experience working with them. Best regards to Ray and Issac, Patrick, God bless you.

We had new French exterior wood doors installed this past summer at the rear entry of our stand-alone garage. Was having a small issue with them. Sent a text to Martin today and within 30 minutes he had some colleagues working near me stop by. They quickly diagnosed the issue and after another 30 minutes -- all fixed! Johnston Millworks also built all of the doors in our house four years ago. No issues at all. Terrific product.

Talked to Martin, sales person. Requested price for doors, he said he will get pack to me in few hours, I left all the information needed. With no call back after two days, I called several time, left massages, it's been a week and still no response. I'm a general contractor, l used to do business with this company several years ago, and I wanted to give it another chance, but I think the new management still not doing well. Not recommended!

Thirty years ago we updated our home with Johnston's doors (known then for quality work). Now...Johnston quotes over $4k for a 3'x4' basic bookshelf. Their "discount" offer was to cut the materials (seven cuts) for $2k. I get that they may be busy and prefer larger projects...the wise-guy attitude from their sales and management/president was the surprise.

Really unhappy my bi-fold doors from Johnston Millwork. When installed (by Johnston Millwork) the doors don't fully open. Also, Johnston Millwork rep said doors hinge from the wall, which was incorrect, they hinge from the floor. Now I have drilled holes in my porcelain floor. Customer service was very poor, never got a satisfactory solution. $2100 down the drain...

Don't know how to get a quote from this business -- I guess business is so good that you don't need to respond to customers? I got a referral to the owner from a former employee -- was handed off to a sales rep, provided info... radio silence for weeks even with weekly prompting. Cc'ed the owner back to the thread and nothing. My order is for 8-9 doors -- it's not a whole house but it's not just one door.

Johnston Millwork is your place if you need a new front door for an Eichler house. Eichler is a popular style home for their minimalism, simple styles. The front door is no exception since its basically a slab of wood with no design, cutouts or windows. I could not find anything at Home Depot, Lowes, Wayfair and many google searches so I reached out to JM to create exactly what we needed. I worked with Alex and confirmed the dimensions and within a few weeks they produced exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended place for carpentry work.

Bad customer service, added almost 600 shipping charge for 3k order which was never discussed or part of the price quote, the charge has been removed. It was always a fight to get this right.

We needed to replace a couple of doors in our house. I decided to replace all the doors in the house with solid core doors. I called Johnston Millwork they came out a few days later and gave me an estimate for the doors, labor and painting. The team was always very respectful and they were responsive to any and all questions that I had. The doors arrived the day they said they would. They installed and painted the doors on time and on budget. The doors look great! Thank you Martin and your team for the fabulous job. I'm asking them to come out and look at creating some custom cabinets for my kitchen pantry area.

Had problem with door to very old patio. with unusual weather stripping Spoke with Alex and later went to their site . Once there spoke with Alex and Kevin who quickly diagnosed problem - then made visit to my houses to look at door - Made suggestions to fix and recommendation to specialist in problem. Great service- knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended
