I have been here 3 times for haircut with Yolanda. I'm really satisfied with the service and like that she spends good amount of time and doesn't rush through the appointment. I've had bad experience at other salons in the bay area and I'm happy I found this place. Tha ambiance is nice and cozy. They use all aveda products. Highly recommend for haircut services!

DO NOT GO THERE. Lauren put in extensions. They immediately fell out And pulled my hair out with them! Waisted time and money.

In need of a haircut, reached out and no response...the website has no information at all - said text or call but never received a text back one week later. I'm super patient, but now I feel stupid for even thinking about calling after getting ghosted.

Salon proprietor, Darcy Chacon, has been my go-to cut and color professional for the last 15 to 16 years. She is without a doubt the most highly skilled stylist I have encountered in her field, and I truly consider her an artist. When you find a good one, they are worth their weight in gold. My hair has changed so much throughout the last few decades, so having someone who really knows it is a godsend. If you want a truly exceptional resource for taking care of all your hair needs, you will not find a higher quality human than Darcy. Even though I am leaving the Bay Area, I will continue to follow her anywhere. She is worth every penny and I highly recommend her.Service: Hairstyling

This review is for Darcy, an owner of the Salon I've been to Darcy a few times (on the recommendation of my sister who is very picky and really liked her) Darcy doesn't disappoint. Not only is she pleasant and professional (and doesn't ever keep you waiting), she is great at cut and color I've gotten many compliments on my hair thanks to Darcy. I have fine, wavy hair, with some grey peeking through. She is very versed in the Aveda line and will make recommendations on which products might be best suited for you, but never pressures you to buy anything Darcy is a delight and I am so glad I found her.

I have been going to Salt & Light proprietor, Darcy Chacon, for all of my haircut and color needs for at least 15 to 16 years. I followed her to several different salons where she had stations in the Bay Area. No one else touches my hair, period. To quote Katharine Hepburn, "Once you've had the best, you don't mess with the rest!" I was so excited when Darcy finally got her own salon. Even though I am at long last leaving my native California, I am still planning to travel from out-of-state to see her. These are some very challenging times for our artists, stylists, and small business owners, and they deserve any support we can give them. If you want only the best, Darcy is it.

This Aveda salon is a hidden gem! Got my haircut today by Darcy and I'm very picky about length. She did the perfect haircut for me today in a timely manner. I have been to top salons in LA and Darcy is one of the best with attention to detail. Definitely call or text to book! Skip the busy Palo Alto salons!

How does anyone get an appointment at this salon? I called four times, left a message, used their website contact form. No response through any of these channels. Maybe they can survive on walk-in customers.
