Good service when you grab the winery. Then they told me something that I didn't like. This is being done by the person in charge, they auctioned off my warehouse without telling me and when I went to get some tools they had already sold it and they didn't answer my calls and I went to the office and they hid my warehouse for like $7000 they are bad people

Just rented a unit at this Extra Space Storage in Redwood City.CS rep Ellie was very helpful and made the sign up very easy!I've rented here before; the facility is very clean, convenient to 101 and the staff are always very professional. Well done!

Barney Collier is the new manager at ExtraSpace storage in Redwood City. He is doing a terrific job. I have been using their storage unit since 3/2019 and would highly recommend this business!

BUYER BEWARE: WARNING: The two stars are for the manager (Barney) and employee (Josh) of this facility because they are very helpful and accommodating. I had a large storage unit here for about 7 years. I started out at $130 / mo. After 3 months they raised it to $148/mo and this pattern continued. By the time the 7 years were up, I was paying nearly $400/mo. So, I paid $8000 to have this large unit cleared out and leased the smallest space they had for what was left. I signed up for a $118/mo and was fine with this. TWO MONTHS LATER I get a notice of rent increase to $150/month!! - Now I have to relocate to a more honest storage facility which will be a pain but worth it to not give this exploitative company my money. In this horrific economy when people are losing their jobs and homes, they continue this behavior. Bottom line, most (not all) of these storage companies EXPLOIT people who have a need for long-term storage. It's a diabolical business model. They entice you with a low number at first, then hit you with increases every few months. They know how difficult it is to come back and move to another company. They exploit this too. This is not a review of Josh or Barney. They are wonderful. They have no control over what the corporate hogs do. I'm writing this review to warn people of what Extra Space Storage will not tell you upon sign up. I have talked to the people at corporate too. They don't care. At all. THEY WILL RAISE YOUR RENT IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU MOVE IN. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DO THIS EVERY FEW MONTHS UNTIL YOU CAN NOT MAKE SENSE OF OR AFFORD IT.EDIT/ RESPONSE TO EXTRA SPACE STORAGE COMMENT:No, it is not periodic and it is not based on market value. This is a canned response, not an honest one. It's not periodic. It's systematic every few months. It is the business model and it is deeply rooted in greed and exploitation. You aren't the only storage company that does this and most people understand this. I am writing this review to warn people who are not aware of what will happen. I am very fortunate and am in a sound financial state but a vast majority in this country are suffering right now financially. They are losing their homes and need affordable storage. Extra Space Storage does not care. Period.

Excelente service. Was able to view and sign in under 30mins. Barney is great to work with. Definitely will be staying long term with this level of service.
