I couldn’t figure out why cvs had so many low ratings in this state, this state of california. How hard can it be, it’s a pharmacy? Well take my word for it, you want to get everything by mail. Because this is the only chain, they’re never appropriately staffed, and you’ll wait 35 minutes to hear the saddest excuses for why they can’t execute a prescription in 12 hours.

Made the appointment 2 weeks in advance,received multiple messages to keep or cancel. On the day to receive the Covid 19 vaccination, arrived 5 minutes early as instructed. Only one person ahead of me so my appointment was on time. The technician was friendly and professional. It's always nice not having to travel another city to receive vaccinations.

Not singling out this store I've tried several CVS stores in Redwood City. The stores are clean, but not well stocked or locked up. Always a line at the pharmacy pickup. Company has not put any effort into streamlining the process in regards the check out process at Pharmacy. There is usually only one person at pickup unless the line gets past six to eight people. I own stock in this company, thinking these problems (difficult in finding and hiring qualified people) are maybe only in California.

Asked for assistance locating an item by photo from cvs site with online order available with in store pick up, the male employee informed me it was probably sold out at this location however I pulled up my online cart showing in stock at this location .. he claims if it's not on aisle 17 it's sold out and proceeded to just WALK AWAY , however I found more pain cream in aisle 15 and actually found the product I was looking for on aisle 11 ..

Nes at the pharmacy is always so patient, thoughtful, helpful, and knowledgeable! Most people in the position would get overwhelmed from all the craziness of customers, but Nes somehow never does and obviously cares about the customer and genuinely wants to help... So, so grateful!

Always understaffed and queued-up, hours keep getting shortened, and always rude.CVS (and most other pharmacies), you really need to take a deeper look at your customer service and overworked people and figure out how to resolve your staffing issues.

Incredibly inept. Long lines everytime. You get texts saying your prescription is ready and then you reach the counter and they tell you to wait 15 more mins. How hard is it to manage something as simple as filling prescriptions? Truly inept.

Absolute worst customer service!!! I had to wait one hour to pick up my prescription. When it was finally my turn, I presented the discounted codes that my dermatologist gave me for my prescriptions. The lady at the register told my that she couldn't process them because there was a long line. I paid an extra $100 because she didn't want to be bothered! Never going back, they are extremely slow and rude!

I have never experienced anything like this with a pharmacy. The fact that I have to travel to the CVS just to get an update on my prescription is ridiculous. I should be able to call the pharmacy and get the information I need. It is unacceptable that I have been waiting for my medication for over a week now and still have not received any updates. This level of unreliability and lack of communication is unacceptable. I highly recommend finding a different pharmacy, as my experience with CVS has been nothing but frustrating and time-consuming.I really do hope that my medication is ready soon!

Let's be real, the pharmacy is not the place that's going to spark joy.I just need the basics: get my prescriptions in a timely way and a clear consistent way to communicate when I need those prescriptions and something has gone awry. I don't need them to remember me or answer the phone on the second ring. Just prescriptions and communication. I can handle a 10 minute hold if everything works. For a couple of years it was totally adequate. Prescriptions ready on time and I'd call when something was different- a prescription cancelled or I need a refill because of an increased dose, that kind of thing.In about March of 2023 they suddenly stopped answering the phone. Completely. I literally waited 6 hours on hold and no one answered. I have called a couple of times a week now for about 12 weeks and no one has ever answered again. St first it was a necessity and then it became a curiosity: do they really not answer their phones? How do they stay in business?So we started going in to the pharmacy when we needed to communicate. And when we go in, there's inevitably someone in line in front of us complaining that they never answer the phone. At least we're not alone? Finally I called and left a complaint at corporate. They said, "you could just go down there." Yeah thanks. Super helpful.Yes I could go down there. But I have mobility issues and can't just take an a couple of hours from my day to pop down to the pharmacy to get a new medical device that broke (because about 40% of them are faulty which is a whole different review ) or tell them to not fill yet another medication because it makes me sick or that they shorted me an entire insulin pen (true story). If I have to go there instead of calling every time I need a med refilled and the app doesn't work I would never do anything else. This pharmacy has gone from adequate to disastrous in 3 months span. Don't go. You're taking your life in your hands. You're better off ripping up the prescription and lighting it on fire. Good luck!
