I truly don’t understand the purpose of making an appointment at this place. Made an appointment for a tire rotation and was told it would take 1.5 hours and they would call me when it’s done. 1.5 hours pass and I get a call that they’d be unable to rotate my tires because the tread was too thin on the front tires.
So they clearly had not looked at my vehicle for 1.5 hours even with a prescheduled appointment! Such a waste of time.
Additionally, the guy said he’d pull my car out of the garage and meet me out back to give me my keys. I walk around to the back, my car is pulled out, but the guy is off doing other things now. Have to wait around to flag the guy down again and when I ask for my keys, he clearly doesn’t remember telling me to meet him around out back.

As other reviews have said, they are really slow. I’ve been here twice for a scheduled tire rotation and both times have been told it would take 1 to 1.5 hours. Each time I went to the desk around the 2 hour mark to ask how much longer I should expect to wait and was told “just a bit, they’re working on your car now.” Both times it took 2.5 hours to get my car back.

At this point I’m done buying tires at this Costco. It is our 4th set from them and the problem is always with service. They just don’t seem to be motivated or care. 1.5 hours to fix a nail when I was on time for the appointment. No more. I’ll go back to where we used to get our tires. There cost a little more but they treat you like they want your business. Costco tire does not care about the customer.

I'd love to give this zero stars. I hesitated to buy my tires at Costco, but thought saving $200 would be worth it. I had an appointment to have them installed, received two emails to please come 15 minutes early which I did. I had to wait THREE hours today. If they know they are running late, it would be nice to let me know. Save your frustration and go somewhere else. Your time is surely worth it !

I keep calling but they never answers call probably so they don’t get a walk in appointment. I just need to fix my car tire and buy a new tires cause they have tires available like what I had in my car but I guess this Costco Tire Center is suck .

I got four new tires and the TPMS light came on the next day. I went back and they said my TPMS sensors are bad. I'm wondering if this will happen if I changed the tires at America's tire.

One of the worst tire installation experiences out there - never going back. Arrived on time to my appointment as requested and waited in line behind the walk-ins who didn't know what kind of tires they wanted. Dropped off my car and was quoted 1 - 1.5 hours. Checked back in at 1.5 hours and was told 20 minutes. Checked back in 20 minutes, told another 20 minutes. Rinse and repeat. Total time took THREE HOURS, either double or triple the original estimate, and they kept stringing me along. The worst part? They finally finished and told me my car was in the tire center parking. So, I took the keys and went to go shop in the warehouse. I come back out and my car is nowhere to be found. I go back and they tell me that sometimes the tire center parking is full, and they could have parked it anywhere in the lot, and I need to go look for my own damn car! They didn't even give a clue as to where they put it. I got to run around the lot pushing a cart with frozen food looking for my own car like a moron who can't remember where he parked. I found it stashed along the back wall of the store near shipping and receiving. Thanks for nothing. Absolutely enraging experience.

Set aside 3+ hours to wait, whether you have an appointment or not. Tire was installed inside out, had to bring it back and wait hours again. Tires seem indeed to be cheapest here, but when you add the cost of your time and frustration, it’s probably one of the most expensive ways to replace tires.

I really appreciated the great customer service from the Costco Tire Center in Redwood City, California, especially from a particular employee named Zak Mathews. Mr. Mathews was very attentive and understanding of my need to get all four of my tires placed on my truck as soon as possible so my family and I could safely get to our camping trip on time. Although I had no appointment at the time, he registered me for a walk in early morning and luckily there was a space available for me to get my tires put on swiftly and safely. My children were very happy to get going on their summer camping trip and I was able to feel safe and secure that my truck would safely get them there because of Mr. Mathew's great work. Thank you very much Mr. Mathew's, I appreciate your great customer service, positivity, and strong work ethic. I am very happy and satisfied with Mr. Mathews and the whole Costco Redwood City Tire Center Team. I definitely will purchase all my tires for all my vehicles at the Costco Redwood City Tire Center and I will refer all my family and friends to do so as well. Sincerely, Carlos Maldonado Costco Member since 2008

My car started shaking after I got my new tires. To find out my front lug nots were loose. Unsafe shop to go to. Or at least train your staff right…

Worst customer service. This place used to be better, but now I'll never return. Went for a seasonal tire exchange - you know, changing my winter/snow tires for summer tires. When I purchased my tires in the fall I was told this would be a free service, just like a tire rotation. I checked in today and they charged me $50. Then, they called to tell me they wouldn't do the replacement because both sets were all-weather tires (yes, they're in fact the exact same tire model, the snow tires have more / newer tred and the summer tires have more wear). Of course, it took me hours to get the message because they called and left a voicemail on my home number (yes, I still have one of those) instead of the cell number (THAT THEY SPECIFICALLY ASKED ME FOR WHEN I DROPPED OFF THE CAR). So, hours wasted, sitting around waiting for them to tell me they wouldn't even change my tires. They've lost my service, and we have 4 cars in our family that do a lot of driving. We're definitely going somewhere else from now on.
