I used to go to the store in downtown San Jose and they made great burritos. They actually put work into them and I loved them. Just tried a burrito at this Redwood City location and it is total garbage. The carne asada was barely cut up and all strung together so when you take a bite you pull a bunch more out. The tortilla it’s wrapped in is cold. I’ll never come back to this lazy, lazy unskilled taqueria again. There’s better burritos almost anywhere.

I was looking for lilikoi puree...the young man there was very helpful in assisting me to find the right product. I really like this store as they carry a wide variety of products and all very well priced... Another plus was that there's a donation site in the parking lot and i was able to take care of my donations at the same time. Their fresh food department is great too! Yummy food at good prices. I love this market!

Best carne asada I've had in a burrito. The only problem was the other ingredients were kinda lukewarm. I was there early so I guess everything wasn't hot yet.

Non-pork eaters beware!!I ordered chicken tamales and they gave me pork! I threw them away since I couldn’t eat them and the sight of them made me sick since I haven’t eaten pork in several years ??I returned to the store for a refund and Alejandra told me I needed to return the tamales and I waited too long to get a refund (I purchased them on Friday and went in for the refund on Sunday ?). I showed her photos and she said she can’t tell that they’re pork even though the meat is brown.I couldn’t locate a corporate number to report this. It’s a serious health issue for those of us who have dietary restrictions.

Their tortas are amazing. The slight heat from the jalapeno is balanced by the creaminess of the mayo and sour cream. The beef tongue is tender. I just loved the crunch of the bread. It will get messy so get extra napkins.The Al Pastor burrito is packed full of flavor. The al pastor is flavorful and and have crusty texture. The rice is a treat by itself.

Chavez used to be really tasty..not sure what happened...I got 3 al pastor super tacos only to find out that they gave me the wrong meats and gave me asada instead. The workers at the taqueria aren't the friendliest either, it felt like I was bothering them.I wouldn't come back...
