Exceptional people providing exceptional service. Unfortunately, I was not able to take my introductory class. They refunded my money and worked with me. A nonprofit requires volunteers to run the program. They run the program as if they are well paid. I look forward to working with them in the future.

A good community asset. I wonder if it will be reinvigorated as this section of town gets more attention.

Alright, let's see.I drove by and figured I'd give the place a go.The club is a Rowing Club, their main focus is rowing backwards aka sculling. They have classes for rowing, they have E-Row, the have classes for younger kids for rowing. This is a Rowing Club.Now.The club also has Surfskis. If you want to paddle Surfskis. Their surfskis are super nice. They have V5, V8s, V10s. You can start all the way from beginner and make your way to the olympics on V10s. The boats are in brand new condition. The paddles are grat. The club also has two functional outriggers but no paddles. But at least they let you paddle them, unlike all the annoying outrigger Hawaiian clubs who won't let you touch their single Outriggers for fear you might break something.I was mainly an outrigger guy, so I loved this place. The people in the club were great.Mainly Chris Flynn, Operations Director. He let me fix the outriggers and paddle them. When there was an issue with a former club taking away my paddle he made them give it back.Anything you ask and he is happy to give it a try, you need parts, classes. So, if you have some spare change and want to go paddleBIAC is the place. You can paddle backwardsYou can surfski for exercise when the wind picks up if you are bored, you can even outrigger and pretend you are Kamaaina."Local",want some community join the E-Rows and have a blastor just roll in and do your thing on your time, no one is judging.Have fun.

Great experience with my friends. You can either rent Kayaks or SUPs (stand up paddle boards). If you are a bit rusty or do not really know what you are doing, they will refresh your basics. They will help you launch and land. They even had a dry pouch so I could keep my phone with me. The staff is nice and understanding. You have plenty of parking space. If you want to discover other water sports, BAIC has the summer learn to row and learn to scull program. Take some friends and go on the water!

Summer programs are underway at Bair Island Aquatic Center (BIAC): Learn to Row, Scull, Kayak, or SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) on the calm waters of Redwood Slough. Close to 101/Woodside exit, free parking, reasonable prices, helpful staff. We've wanted this for a long time, and now it's a reality!

Great opportunity to get out on the Bay to enjoy the beauty of nature! I loved learning to stand up paddle last weekend. I will be a regular this summer honing my SUP skills and getting a great workout!!

Now the public can rent kayaks or SUPs to paddle around the marshes in Redwood City. It's easy to rent gear on the weekend, and there is a lot to see from the water. A seal popped up right in front of me

A great place to sweep row, scull, or paddle outrigger canoes. This non-profit organization has basic facilities, many club boats, and lessons for beginners. Bair Island is also a fantastic natural habitat to be in.
