Got 2 front tires changed 10 days ago at the redwood city store. Went perfectly, on time, very nice staff. I had to go back today as one of the tires was losing air. I showed up without an appointment at 8am and again very nice (tried to sell me on the 2 rear but did not push too hard). Tech found the issue and fixed it in 10mn (bad valve, this can happen). They come to me in the waiting room and tell me I can go and pick-up the car directly in the garage. And this is where they lost my business. As I walk towards my car, from the back, I notice screws, sharp bits of metal (like clamps used for weight balancing), valve leftovers… covering the floor (not 1 or 2 bits…) behind my car. Used my feet/shoe to clean as much I can and picked a couple screws by hand. For a tire shop, unprofessional….

I bought tires for my Nissan Frontier and for the Ford Escape, previously everything was fine
Good service, all quality but a month ago I ordered some Michelin tires for, as before, for the Ford Escape, very bad service, they broke a bolt on the front left side, they did nothing, just an apology and they did not fix them, they installed a tire with a cut like a knife, I told them They promised to call me in a week to change it and they didn't call, I'm worried that tire is not safe, it could burst

I’ve had a positive, quick experience in leaving my cars for tire changes here. People are hardworking. I feel like the lobby could use some free coffee, but other than that it is exceptional. They also are honest about the state of tires

Bought tires from ATC in the past and never had any issues. Got a nail in a tire and they stood by their warranty and fixed it right up!!

My tire weights got loosened after service, tire weights of 3 wheels disappear after I driving only for 1 day!! Also my new BMW wheel is scratched after the service. I paid $100 to install tires but got this terrible service. Next time I probably will go to Costco which provide free installation
Follow-up: they help me redo the tire balance and refund the installation fee.

Beware! Don’t fall for their ‘free tire rotation’ tactic.
I called ahead to confirm that tire rotations are free and they only charge if alignment is to be done. However, when I checked in they refused it and charged me for the tire rotation. I personally don’t mind paying for a service but would stay away from businesses that indulge in such shady tactics to attract customers.
Update: You can see that the business has replied to the review but in reality they didn’t even bother to reach out after I filled the form.
Update 2: They reached out and refunded my amount saying there was a miscommunication and that their free tire rotation policy has now changed to only cover the tires bought from them. I’ve updated the rating accordingly.

Several wheel studs damage . Now I have to pay for this repair.
They put the blame on the previous shop that worked on the car .
I spoke to the manager of the other shop
Very knowledgeable. And after inspection he said that
America's tire used to wrong lug nut socket .

I’ve always loved America’s Tire/Discount Tire and I’ve been using them for 25 years all over the west coast, but now I’ve had three disappointments in a row at this location, and the store manager doesn’t seem to respond to email feedback which is what they suggest for any issues, so here we are.
1st problem visit, I came in for tires. I told them my TPMS sensors were dead and I had waited a year and a half for my tires to wear out to get them replaced. When they handed me my keys back after the job was done, they told me “yeah, we rebuilt your sensors and they’re dead”. They hadnt bothered to solve the problem I asked about, and when questioned, expressed no confidence that their replacement sensors would even work on my car, even if they HAD thought to offer them to me before mounting my new tires.
It blows my mind that a tire shop doesn’t think dealing with TPMS for customers is a service they should (reliably?) offer. They vaguely suggested “maybe go to the dealer?” to get my brand new tires taken off and new sensors fitted to my 175,000 mile car.
When TPMS sensor battery life is around 7 years, a tire shop should expect the sensors to be dead every 2-3 tire replacement visits and have some idea how to handle it.
2nd problem visit, I brought in TPMS sensors I bought online (since they apparently don’t know how to provide functioning sensors?), and I was told of course I’d have to pay for the mount/unmount to install the sensors I wanted installed on my previous visit. I didn’t feel like arguing since I was already being told that there would be no recourse if customer-provided sensors didn’t work. Unfortunately, it turns out that when they did their work, one tire wasn’t fully seated, leading to a low tire pressure warning weeks later when I was out of town and my wife was driving the car, which leads me to…
3rd problem visit, my wife took the car in and they resolved the poorly mounted tire issue but upsold her on $50 worth of wiper blades we didn’t need. I was only slightly annoyed at the sexism (I have never been offered wiper blades that I can recall in 25 years doing business with them..) until I got home and saw they threw out my good Bosch blades and replaced them with janky Tricos that have this horribly ugly adapter that is going to annoy me every time I sit in the drivers seat.
It’s a silly little thing, but come on. I’m done.

Been going there for years. Yesterday stopped by because I caught two nails. Itsia took great care of me and ordered the tires. Her service was super friendly and helpful. Tires arrived within 24h hours.

Please don’t bring your car/truck here. Go next door to General Tire, much better and more complete service.
The staff was friendly, but lacked knowledge and just hit behind big company policies instead of trying to understand a situation.
Came here to get a tire fixed due to a nail in the main tread portion of the tire, and the only option they gave me was to replace the tire.

I recently had a fantastic experience at America's Tire in Redwood City. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent customer service from start to finish.
They quickly assessed my tire needs and helped me find the perfect set within my budget. The installation process was efficient, and they even went the extra mile to check and adjust tire pressure for optimal performance.
The waiting area was clean and comfortable, making the short wait time enjoyable. Overall, I was highly impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail.
I highly recommend America's Tire in Redwood City for anyone in need of quality tires and exceptional service. They've definitely earned my trust and future business!

Disappointed at their service. Go to this place if you want to be deceived and ripped off. They refused to repair a flat tire even though their road hazard insurance covered it. The manager was making nonsense reasoning that even though the tire has 4/32 thread depth, since it is not even, according to their company policy (!?), they cannot fix the flat, and I have to get a new set of tires. I have been using them for twenty years on multiple cars, and year after year, their service quality is suffering more and more. I took the car to another shop, and they fixed it without asking questions. I had to pay for the service that I had paid insurance for before. In the Redwood City branch, I have had tire balancing issues; I have been charged extra for sensor installation while the first clerk told me it is not required and is covered by the installation charge. I am fed up and taking business elsewhere.
