DISAPPOINTED - I Do Not Recommend In April 2024 I hired Jeff Murdock (Murdock Tile) to inspect and if necessary correct 3-year-old floor tile work by a local contractor. Murdock's invoice notes that loose and cracked floor tiles on both stairs/hallway and kitchen were a result of "not enough mortar on the subfloor or back of tile." Murdoch re-grouted and replaced select stairs/hallway tiles ($4,500), but in the kitchen, after Murdock removed a cracked 24x24 floor tile, he suggested "to replace the complete kitchen floor with new tile that has proper backing." In Feb. Murdock prepared an estimate for the kitchen floor and we agreed to an early June start date. I sent a note in May to nail down a start date; he replied that he'd "be in touch by the end of June". That was the last I ever heard from Murdock. He did not respond to emails or calls. I can only guess Murdock bailed without an explanation because he is now worried about potential backlash for having criticized a local contractor's work. Murdock made a 24x24 hole in my kitchen floor and abandoned the job without a word. Old school craftsman guy or not, this is odd behavior. We needed to repair a rough cut initially made by our plumber to repair a shower. The shower is finished in large slab travertine. The initial hole was ragged and uneven. This was a small, but difficult job. Since we wanted it done right, we hired Jeff Murdock. Jeff's repair is meticulous, flawless and looks beautiful! Moreover, it is waterproof and built to last. The aesthetic result exceeded every expectation. He is truly a master craftsman and gentleman. It was a joy to work with him and Antonio. By the way, they also kept our home and the worksite very tidy in the process. Highly recommend! Superb work.

Jeff has worked on several projects for my wife and I in the last couple of years. His last job was a complete remodel of our master bathroom shower which we were thrilled with. To say Jeff is professional, talented and efficient is an understatement. He is trustworthy, flexible and informative to things you might not catch. We already have our next project in mind for Jeff to tackle! We highly recommend Jeff for your project needs.

In June of 2023 Jeff installed a tile kitchen floor for me. His work is excellent and meticulous. He is very professional, honest and kind which was a much appreciated bonus. I highly recommend him with 5 stars and would hire him again and again. Thanks Jeff for a wonderful job and great experience!

I called and text this company a couple of times, they never got back to me. Terrible way to run a business. I get that you might be busy but not to have a call back or text tells me you don't care about your business and you lack customer service.

Although I haven't tired him yet, Jeff was very responsive and knowledgeable about repairing bathroom tiles. He provided estimates and details on what would make the job tricky. I would trust him to install tiles - I'm sure he would make sure there wouldn't be issues down the road.

Awesome job. Jeff was fast, professional and did an amazing job on our guest bathroom floor. Highly recommend him for any of your tile needs. He did such a wonderful job that now i want to retile my other bathrooms. Call him, you wont be disappointed!

Jeff did a fantastic job on our bath/shower. He and his helper did demo of old tile in our Hermosa home and then installed new ceramic tile. Old school craftsmanship would be a good description of his quality work. Highly recommend Murdock tile for quality work.

Jeff Murdock, owner of Murdock Tile was highly recommended to us by Cal Tile Center in Torrance! He's truly a professional and is one of the few tile setters who goes the extra mile to prep the surface and to install a cement base...no Wonder Board here! He does beautiful work with an attention to detail! He always cleans up and most of all he's a super nice person to work with!! Thanks Jeff!

We are extremely satisfied with the workmanship of our new beautiful shower by Jeff of Murdock Tile. Not only is it aesthetically stunning the time spent on the project was without stress or trepidation. They arrived on time, stayed on schedule, cleaned up daily, and checked in with us throughout to assure we were in agreement. I would highly recommend Murdock Tile to my friends and family, just wait until I'm finished with my next project first!!! They are AWESOME'!

New travertine shower and floor. I'm old school so I wanted quarter round on the corners, shelves, and a soap dish which they did a fantastic job installing.
