SCAM:::: This place and the pharmacist is a scam. They will authorize and file a claim against your insurance without your knowledge, approval or you giving them insurance information. They have a database they say allows them to file claims without prior knowledge and that it's a common practice they do. I have never encountered this from any pharmacy or pharmacist before. The pharmacist was also argumentative when I tried to tell them I didn't authorize them to use my insurance and they said, "well, it's $1000 out of pocket. Did you want to pay that?" After I picked up my prescription and I took my meds. They were supposed to use a different route and not my insurance to reduce costs. They are a scam and stay away if you don't want them to authorize unauthorized claims against your insurance. They tried to blame it on their assistant and said I should've confirmed with them. I should've made sure they weren't using information I never shared with them?? SCAM. Go to WalGreens (they go bounds beyond what I ever expected from a pharmacy)

I have been trying to find a good local pharmacy to replace the terrible experiences I've been having with corporate pharmacies. Was very excited about Kovacs-Frey after reading the reviews.I was informed that they could not fulfill one of my prescriptions because it is a controlled substance, and they only fulfill prescriptions of controlled substances from "local doctors". My doctor is from Newport Beach. He's a specialist in a condition that I suffer from. I can not believe they will not accept a prescription, from a licensed doctor, because they're arbitrarily far away (what, 10 miles? Edit, 35 miles)I have to find somewhere else that can take all of my prescriptions as this pharmacy is unwilling to do so. Ridiculous.This is not a statewide regulation, no other pharmacies had a problem fulfilling this prescription. Medical credentials I guess are only valid locally I guess.

I was at this place trying to find a walking cane because of the long time injury on my left knee! I could hardly walk because it is so painful. Janet was the person that helped me. She was very courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. She basically asked me some questions and tried to find out why I need a walking cane? She showed me quite a few canes but I didn't like them because I worried about if I tripped the bottom of the cane; that might just be worse. She suggested that I need to treat the pain in my knee and showed me a few knee sleeves. She even tried to put one on for me and asked me to walk a few steps and see how I felt. I was surprised that it made my leg felt more stable and could walk a little better. It's less painful by wearing that knee sleeve. Thank you so much, Janet! I appreciate it very much. I will wear it until I can find a good orthopedic surgeon to operate on my torn knee!

I love this pharmacy, and I am SO GLAD I left the big chain pharmacy and started coming here. They are very quick, efficient, helpful, and super friendly! They know my name, they always greet me as soon as I walk in the door, and I always enjoy my time there. They truly are the neighborhood pharmacy, and I encourage everyone to get your medicine from them!

I am very grateful for the speedy help I got from Janet at Kovacs-Frey. I needed something from the medical equipment department for an upcoming trip, but didn't have much time before take-off. Janet, went to work to call around and find just what I needed, in my size, and got speedy delivery so I could have it before I left on my trip. The product is great and her help to speed things up is much appreciated! My thanks to Janet and Kovacs-Frey!

Janet was a really helpful person towards my daughter. She recently fractured her arm and she was gentle pitting the arm sling to her. She gave us information on the correct way for putting in on. Thank you so much janet ❤️

I needed to purchase a small cuff for my blood pressure monitor. I looked everywhere online and in local stores and could not find one. Kovacs had one! Their staff was so kind and helpful. Karen help me measure my arm and make sure it fit and also made sure it was compatible with my blood pressure monitor that I owned. Wonderful place. Friendly knowledgeable staff!

After many years with CVS as my pharmacy, I grew tired of their slow erosion of customer service. It became apparent that the employees were also frustrated by the corporate policies. I did a Google search for a "Friendly Pharmacy", and Kovacs-Frey popped up. I gave them a try, and realized on my first visit that my search was over. Kovacs-Frey is so far ahead of any pharmacy, you will be surprised and pleased with their "customer first" attitude. Its like going to the Cheers Bar: they greet you by name, and they can't wait to help you. And the surprise part: every one of my prescriptions is much lower cost than I was paying at CVS. I purchased a Nova roller Walker for my mom today. Janet is so professional and informative. I highly recommend buying medical equipment from this place. It requires the patient to try different models and a knowledgeable professional to demonstrate and explain how to use it. I previously bought a walker online - it was expensive and didn't fit my mom's needs. I ended up paying expensive shipping to return it. If you need medical equipment, Kovavs-Frey is the go-to place! Janet was a jewel with my mom today! She was patient with her as my mom asked a million questions about her spica splint. I am so happy that her Doctor sent us to this place. They have everything you need. Janet was super knowledgeable and helpful. I even walked away with a knee brace ideal for some pain and swelling that I had. Don't look any further. This shop has all your medical needs. Besides, we should support family owned businesses! I will continue to shop as long as you have great folks like Janet there!

I've seen Kovacs-Frey pharmacy for many years and never had the need to go until today. I walked in the store and it was so neatly organized that I saw immediately the section I needed. When I got to the section I needed help. Janet appeared and within minutes kindly and expertly showed me the exact times I needed, she let me know the prices which were surprisingly low. I payed for the items and left the store very pleased. I will recommend Janet to anyone that asks me about a pharmacy or home health items.
