“I've stayed here 2 times in the last half year and even though it's not fancy or high-tech, it's at a good location, relatively clean and the staff was both times very friendly. It's still just a 2 star establishment, so with that in mind I'd stay here again. One of the most affordable places in this area.”

“We came here after the Chiefs/Chargers game and had fantastic food and great service. I cannot remember the server's name but he was outstanding! The tuna on crispy rice was fantastic - better than I've had at many sushi bars! I will return just for the food. Cheeseburger was also delicious.”

“Wife & I enjoyed our 4 day stay. We had a very comfy, clean, and spacious king room with relaxing bedding. Pool area was well kept. The entire staff was professional, polite, and friendly. The hotel location was a close walk to excellent restaurants around the marina.

Nearby activities: Close walk to great restaurants.”

“OK this review is directed directly to Aloha Smog and not best Western it a tight spot but they’re two different buildings and I just want to make the correction at this location as well as the credit and review goes to Aloha Smog which I have been going there for a long time and they are professional. They are kind and courteous. The prices are fair. It seems like by the time you get out of your car to get tested you’re right back in and on your way out. It’s very very quick because they know exactly what they’re looking for anyway, I would like to say thank you to the whole team at Aloha Smog.”

“Nice, small hotel with nice staff. Rooms are equipped with microwaves and refrigerators with freezers. The location is worth highlighting. Only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and within a mile there are several pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. We would come back.”

“A typical hotel room. It was clean. We had a limited view of the ocean and a good view of the car show in the lot across the street. We had no interaction with staff except when checking in. Sol restaurant was very quiet. The servers were very nice.”

“Actually a charming hotel with a very nice feel-good feeling. Rooms are absolutely fine but the same is true elsewhere for the price.
Surrounding area is nice with some restaurants and the Redondo Pier. However, there is also some industry in sight.
Unfortunately, there is an additional $35 resort fee and $40 for parking per day.”

“There were some issues while checking in (electricity issues, bed size, etc) it's not enough for me to lower stars. The service was great. Anthony, the manager, tried to work something out from the 4x of coming back to the desk.
The rooms were ok, THEY HAVE NO DOUBLE QUEEN BEDS. Online says they do, but they don't.
They serve a good amount of food for breakfast.
It's not a far distance from the beach.”

“Great location, lots of amenities, large rooms, huge breakfast spread, somewhat pricey.

Food and drinks: Huge breakfast spread. Lots of BBQ grills.”

“Excelente and friendly service!
Nice, tidy and comfortable rooms.
I almost took one star ⭐️ because of the breakfast, there is not really what we can call “breakfast “ , specially if you need some vitamin and healthy stuffs at the morning

Nearby activities: To take a walk at the beach and pier at night was secure and easy.
A lot of restaurants close to the hotel too

Safety: We felt very secure in the area”

“Rooms have a sliding door for the bathroom that is hard to open close and lock. Some rooms have a lot of road noise. Service was excellent.we forgot toothpaste and they gave some to us! The location is good being so close to SOFI and LAX made getting around easy. It's also near a McDonald's, in and out, Walmart, and five below. Parking is also cheap and free breakfast is always a plus. Parking can be hard if you get back late as a lot of large semi trucks take up 30 spaces of parking.

Noteworthy details: Rooms of the 405 side of the building will have a lot of road noise even with the windows closed. The road noise seems to be coming through the room's air conditioning unit. The noise was not a huge issue for me as I grew up in the city but will definitely keep some guests awake at night.”
