This is a wonderful place. The staff were kind and helpful to both me and my nieces and nephews. We stopped by to check it out and bought a few bit of clothes and a few plushies for them. I would recommend it

I’m from Colorado and found this little shop while on vacation. Found some really nice clothing items. I’d love to get back!

The ladies who work here were absolute gems and really nice! The place is well-kept unlike most thrift stores I've been to, and the prices are so good it's hard to leave without a basket full of clothes. Definitely our new go-to place for thrifting

I live 45 minutes away and was in the neighborhood for a vet visit. I was exited to come here as the place looked cozy and knew I would find a treasure. I walk in and began browsing. One older lady greeted me and was so kind to me and my dog. A few isles latter an older lady with short gray hair approached me and very hastily said "there's no dogs allowed, some of our workers are allergic". She didn't ask me to leave so I instead left my little tea cup hypoallergenic poodle in the car. Came back and kept browsing. Again this older lady completely ruined the experience for me. I over heard her being rude and snappy to another older lady asking for help with the purchased items. This short hair lady's energy is bad and she's projecting it to the entire store. I left without further looking around or buying anything. Lady fix your attitude, you are unpleasant to be around.

I read the reviews and thought I'd take a chance. I have a car load of very nice items to donate including jewelry, bags, nice clothes, shoes, brand new pet items, and more. I was greeted by a lady rolling her eyes saying she can't accept the items at the moment. Utter shock - where is the graciousness these days. It's really too bad as CHLA is a great cause. Happy to go where my donations are appreciated.

The store is well organized with clothes on one side, housewares in the center and kids’ items like toys and books on the other end. Items are clean and interesting. Donations can be easily dropped off by their back door if you go down the dead-end street behind the store. Certain hours are posted for donation drop offs. The ladies taking my donations and volunteering inside the store today were super helpful and friendly. I’ll be bringing more donations to support the Children’s Hospital.

This used to be my favorite store, but lately store seems to be lacking merchandise. They used to have a lot of beautiful things but now slim pickins. Very few nice items.

I stop in to this shop as often as I can and ALWAYS find something!! The volunteers are extremely helpful and the shop is very tidy and organized. I'm surprised to see some negative reviews...I've never had a bad experience .

My wife and I planned to visit a few local shops today, CHLA Auxiliary was on our list from Yelp reviews. Todays experience at this shop was unacceptable, let me describe the scenario. My wife and I are in our 40's, dress casual, jeans and T-shirts, no green hair, mega tattoos, etc. We entered the shop in mask (Covid) and observed 2 women just inside the entrance, they were dressed as employees looked in our direction and returned to their conversation, the had recently been told by the (?) they did not have enough merchandise displayed. My wife and I began to browse, a few minutes later a women came in, she was welcomed with a Hello how are you !, this continued for the next 15 minutes as 4 other visitors entered the store. I do not want to make the assumption that the 2 employees were stereo typing my wife and I, I 'am Asian and my wife is Mexican, the other visitors were Caucasian. This is perplexing as one of the employees is also Asian. Maybe they thought we didn't belong in their beach community ? or ? I never pull the "Race Card" but in this case ? We weren't recently shown on the News as a wanted criminals, nor did I have any weapons, maybe parking our 2016 Scion FRS in front of the shop was bad for business. As Ridiculous as this review is, I just wanted the Management at the CHLA Auxiliary Thrift Shop to be aware this is the Environment your employees display. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.

Best thrift shop ever. I can go to the biggest thrift stores and never find anything. That is not the case here, you will always find something.

Wow. What a horrible experience I just had at what used to be my favorite thrift shop. I am very saddened. I asked an employee if the men's shirts were priced differently for a reason or it was a mistake. Totally innocent. With a huge attitude she replied by snapping at me telling me to put the shirts back. I was besides my self. I asked her why she had such an attitude towards me and why she was being so aggressive. Again with even more attitude she told me she wasn't being rude. I will never shop or donate there again. It's too bad because it truly was my favorite thrift store to shop at and donate to. It just takes that ONE ROTTEN APPLE! And she was it.
