The employees here are usually friendly and helpful.
I've now had two unpleasant experiences. Last week, I had an employee refuse to honor a coupon code because "people are sharing them on Facebook pages" unless I had the email. Except the friend who sent it to me tried email and internal links were broken so I was using a screenshot. The email has a huge banner button that says "share with friends and family" with the broken link. I guess the company didn't mean it about sharing. The same employee was then suspicious of the IG code I used instead. If y'all hate coupons so much, don't give them out? We're all trying to financially make things work but this felt weird.
The other incident was even worse but I had written it off as a one off. An employee in the further past accosted us to talk about religion for ten minutes. We were clearly not interested but she kept going. Welcome to the south bay, I guess. It has luckily not happened again.
Mostly focused on dogs, then cats, then a pretty limited selection for small animals. We go elsewhere to get things for our rabbits.

I've been a customer of Centinela Feed since I moved to the South Bay in 2015. As a senior, I appreciate the great sales prices and variety.
But I have to say that I will no longer be a customer of your Redondo Beach location.
Why? Because almost every time I go to pick up an online order in that location, a woman (sometimes the manager) treat you like a thief.
This evening, around 5pm I went to pick up one item. The manager (woman with long dark hair) went to get my order. I pulled out my ID. When she returned she said, "Now I need the last 4 digits of your credit card."
I did not have the credit card but logged on to your website using my phone and looked at my order, then gave her the last 4 digits.
Then she said, 'Now I need to see the credit card." I informed her that it is a virtual card that I use specifically for your store and that I do not have a physical card.
She then stated that I needed to show the actual card. I again told her virtual means not physical. She eventually gave me my order and said next time I needed to show the card. There won't be a next time.
(When purchasing with a debit card or credit card, you need not show anything).
Is it your intention to make customers feel like thieves? I said this to her. That is exactly how I felt trying to pick up one item that I ordered.

-Show credit card
When leaving, she said in a condescending way, "Have a nice day."
As black people, we frequent places where we're not profiled and also treated with respect like everyone else. This Redondo Beach location profiles and does not treat you with respect. (Although when a male is working behind the counter, they have customer service in mind and treat me with respect.)
I will not be going back to this location ever again.
(PS Torrance location is the exact opposite and treat their customers well).

This is the best place in the area to take your dog or cat for food and bathing. The staff are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. The bathing area is open, clean, and is very useful.

Friendly staff, well stocked, clean store. Large selection of pet foods and supplies. Stopped in for some cat food, quickly directed to the correct section. Prices are reasonable. Good place to find different brands of pet food.

I use these guys mainly for their self serve dog wash. Which is always clean and well maintained, soap and plenty of clean towels always available and included with wash. Staff is always friendly. Greet me as soon as I walk in and ask if I need any help. Affordable priced dog treats and other goods.

Unreliable dog wash times!2 weeks ago it closed at 6-30pm.Today it was 6pm.I'm going back to Ushampooch!

We love this store! The customer service is top notch. They listen to pet issues (feeding, training etc) and offer great solutions. It is always reassuring to know when trying new products for my dogs that their return policy is very generous. All the employees here have been exceptional. Molly has been very supportive of our feeding issues with our dogs and offered healthy options and support for us. Quality products and incredible staff.
