Staff talked among themselves a lot, not professional. Despite having a check for $4,222 drawn on their bank that they took 40 minutes to verify they still only gave me $2500 cash and the rest in a cashiers check drawn on their bank ??♀️ that I can’t cash there. I asked can I open an account here? The teller said well not for the purpose of cashing this check. ??♀️ Horrible customer service, called me by my first name and pronounced it wrong.

The staff at this bank is the friendliest folks in town. We never have any issues and they are always ready to help. That is why we bank here.....

Today, I had the most horrible & rude customer service from the bank manager Kristin Sullivan of Pacific Western Bank in downtown Redlands. I took my sister into the bank, who recently had a stroke and nearly died. The stroke left her with speech impairment and she struggles understanding conversations. I took her to cash a check that was issued to her by our probate attorney, who has an account there. She was questioned about the check and possible fraud, but she was not understanding what the teller was saying. I said to my sister what, this is ridiculous. I came to help my sister with this transaction, as she requires help walking and she can get confused in conversations. The bank manager Kristin Sullivan was rude and told my sister and I to go sit down because I was disrespectful, because I said this was ridiculous to my sister. We felt like we were being ordered and discriminated against. I asked Ms. Sullivan for her business card as I wanted to speak to the manager about her, and I found out that she was the manager. Ms. Sullivan responded with a smirk attitude, "well I am the manager". It became so uncomfortable and humiliating, as Ms. Sullivan after a while told me to get out of the bank. This was totally uncalled for, as there was no violent attitude or foul language on our part. Then Ms. Sullivan had audacity to say that I was being hostile. She was the one being extremely rude in telling me that I needed to get out of the bank. Never did she say please leave the bank until I told her I was going to video tape her behavior toward me and my sister. At that time one of the tellers said she was going to video tape too. At that point Ms. Sullivan was holding open the back door and said to us can you please leave. I said why are you being polite now when a minute ago you told me to get out. All my sister kept asking the manager was why won't they cash the check now that the funds had been verified. The teller told my sister that it was because of me that the bank was not going to cash her check. What kind of bank says this?I have over 36 years of public service and recently retired as a CIty Clerk. Twenty-five of those years, I was a supervisor and this type of behavior would be unacceptable in a professional workplace. In fact, this type of behavior should be grounds for termination. I would not want anyone to represent my business in this manner. Over the years, I have taken many training courses in hostile environment, and harassment. I know the difference between an hostile environment and rude customer service. Ms. Sullivan was being very rude and discriminatory toward my sister and I. I know this as, it is obvious it not just us having a problem, as I found complaints about Ms. Sullivan on the bank's official website. I will be taking this to corporate, as she left me feeling so up set that I was in tears when I left the bank.

Pacific Western Bank is one of our best banks in town. They treat you as a person and not a number. They can do anything that the "big" banks can do for you but in a much more personal and friendly manner. My wife and I have been a customer for a long time and we would not do our banking anywhere else. You can actually call during business hours and they will actually answer the phone and help you with whatever you need unlike other banks. I would recommend anyone to use this bank!

I needed to change banks and heard good things about PWB so I decided to give them a try. Opening a new account was quick and easy, but it ended there. When you want to make a deposit you have to ask for a deposit slip - not convenient. For withdrawals you have to use a check (that you paid for) and you're not given a receipt - not convenient. The ATM machine is outdated (still uses envelopes and deposit slips) - not convenient. If you have more than one ATM transaction you have to remove your card and reinsert it between each one - not convenient. The online banking site is hard to navigate and the first time I needed to print a copy of a cancelled check it wasn't available - not convenient. Takes 5-7 days before you get an email saying your bank statement is available online - not convenient. I'm a pretty laid-back person but the entire system was way too antiquated even for me. I closed my account in less than 3 months.
