Vet: Dr. Cain
I started bringing my 16 y/o cat to do basic routine follow ups to be closer to home while remaining w another vet for her extensive treatment (Kidney failure, thyroid, heart murmur). What seemed like a scary transition of vets, became much smoother after working a Dr. Cain. She is a WEALTH of knowledge and really knows her stuff. Don’t be thrown off w bedside manners. She can be short and speaks quickly but this is NO indicator of the care she gives your pet! She is amazing! I feel so confident knowing my old babygirl is in great hands. I don’t need Dr.Cain to be my friend (though she still reassured and supported me). I need Dr.Cain to keep my baby alive and healthy. She even caught cardio risk factors that the other vet didn’t catch. I believe she mentioned having a specialty in cardiovascular care. Lastly, as someone who also suffers from a compromised immune system, I do not mind that she conducts her visit by phone or from a distance. Again, the care of my pet is never compromised. I hope this is helpful to you and your furry babies.

Do yourselves a favor and treat your dog to a decent Vet. This place is a moneygrab, trust me. The one in Yucaipa is so much better. You will not get your peace of mind here. A lot of unanswered questions.
The main Vet has throat cancer and doesn't have much time left so you can't even talk them in person. They only speak to you through the phone.
This place will milk you.

Ripley loves coming to the Animal Medical Care Center of Redlands. She always feels so welcomed and taken care of. We never have trouble getting appointments, we get reminders and get her monthly shot with no fuss. The staff is so caring and friendly. We drive 2.5 hours to come here because the care is unmatched!

I've been going to Dr Birch for fifteen years. He took care of my Belle, the yellow lab until it was time to send her over the rainbow bridge. I found a tortie cat abandoned by her mother at age 4 days and he took care of her and guided us with how to care for her. After my yellow lab my daughter got me a black German Shepherd puppy who is a handful but he's been taking care of her for over five years and even today took her in on what we would call and "urgent care" situation. No waiting, just called and said get her in here. He's also cared for my little boy dog who was rescued from the Univ of Redlands where family was trying to dump him off. He was so sick and full of worms. No problem, I took him right in and well three years later he's Rosie's buddy. I also rescued three other cats from certain demise and he's cared for them. Dr Birch is in his 80's, he's not there much be he comes in two three times a week. The rest of the medical staff is great AND they are open on Saturday morning until noon which is great for those of us who work during the week. I would recommend them to anyone with no regret.

DO NO TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. If you do, make sure you do not get Dr. Cain. She has no bedside manner and won't even talk to you in person. I've taken my dog to multiple vets over her life. They are usually very nice, but Dr. Cain was straight up mean.
She claimed I never disclosed my dog's serious skin issue, even though I explained the situation to the vet tech who took notes. Again, Dr. Cain DID NOT see me in person. She only relayed information over the phone.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE>

My cat had to be hospitalized for a few days and I was given updates every day. I’m very grateful for all the employees that made sure my cat was alright.

The entire team at AMC is helpful, friendly, efficient, professional and always there for my pets. I highly recommend AMC as a great quality place for the best vet care.

Although I really liked dr. Burch, He’s not really there much anymore if at all. The male vet techs are great too. Becky is nice. I could say a lot but for now I’d rather just leave it that they have a lot to improve on. Dr. Cain who I used to respect, never got back to me and overall, wasnt a great vet. Probably one of the worst I have ever had. She also doesn’t come into the room so it’s a much less productive visit than at other vets and I don’t trust her instincts. She seems to over test and thus, over charge. She lacks bedside manner so that’s not good especially since she’s only talking to you over the phone and not in person. Several times she was downright rude. She rushes through appointments and that’s not ok. She’s not doing me a favor afterall, she is a paid practitioner. Clients deserve better. I deserved better. When I decided to leave their practice after giving them far too many chances, it turns out, she wouldn’t honor prescription refills even for recent appointments. Darlene the manager and head vet tech is gruff and terse and to me doesn’t seem to really care. She says she does and I really want to believe she does but I honestly don’t know. She’s also the co-owner. She told me “I’m 61 and don’t need this and could retire.” I told her maybe she should. I have mixed feelings about Darlene because I think she’s misunderstood and for years I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I think she is really tired and I’m trying to give her some grace for that. Myra who works the front desk was rude to me last time we spoke. I was so nice to her over the years. It took me by surprise because It was so misplaced and disrespectful. I was left feeling like wait a minute, I feel like they wronged me and my pet, so why am I getting nothing but attitude and push back from them? It was strange and it felt very wrong, almost personal. There is very little customer service or polish at this place. The office needs renovating too. It’s in relatively poor condition and doesn’t appear very clean. All around, a lot needs to change.
They just really, really dropped the ball. And then fumbled it, then finally lost it altogether. They almost killed my dog over a routine nail procedure and took no accountability and there was no apology. My dog went in healthy and came out deathly ill. When I called Darlene she said just bring her back and we will do a full round of blood work (with a cost close to 1k) Maybe she has cancer. I was like, she got cancer in 5 hours and in your care? It was a mind bending, gaslighting conversation that made a stressful situation over the holidays, worse. I don’t think she had any ill intentions, at least i hope not, but she handled the situation with a very defensive and irritated posture instead of a sympathetic one. We of course handled it ourselves without our paid vets’ help and thankfully our dog eventually pulled through perfectly. My pets’ health is paramount so I couldn’t stay their client and chose to leave their practice for good. I remember feeling relieved. I just wish I was never put in this position by them to be so disappointed and let down and disrespected that I would never come back.

I went to this place a couple of days ago to get my dog some medication for his ear infection. The Front Desk employee was nice (a more masculine presenting person) and lead me to my room. Then a floater employee came and helped me out. She was helpful with explaining everything especially info I did not understand. Then Levi, the Vet Tech (super awesome!), arrived and took my dog back. I was not present because I had been exposed to COVID. So Dr. Laurel Cain called me instead. She asked me about the dog's previous issues which I thoroughly explained. The dog got taken care of, and I was supposed to let myself out. Then when I got to the front desk, the 2 female presenting workers there were passive aggressive and didn't really explain my options clearly about medical treatment for my dog. I only wanted to further understand as I don't work in the pet world, but their explanations were not clear. The Front Desk Service and Accommodations are the reason why my review is so low. Levi is the reason for ATLEAST two stars, he's an awesome employee. And I wish the best for him, as he deserves to work somewhere better.
