These guys are absolutely amazing, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We have a type 6 fire engine and had some issues, they helped us out, though extremely busy, and got us out on the fire line quickly. We are extremely grateful for the staff at veterans, and their service not only to their customers but to our great nation.

I didn’t realize how truly great this shop is till I tried another one and got bit in the butt. They have very good customer service, their work is high quality and I always feel confident when I get my truck back from them. I had an 1984 ford IDI and those parts aren’t too easy to find all the time and they always get it done within a great timely manner. Never will I take my truck anywhere else but Veterans.

Solid work performed by solid folks! They know their stuff and work on a variety of years. They were willing to take on anything from new to as old as my 1986 M1009 diesel blazer or 1994 6.5 4x4 K3500.
Quick diagnosis of what was wrong and thorough in the repairs. I'll definitely be going back in the future.

I've recently had quite a bit of work done on my 2003 2500hd Duramax. Darren is a very knowledgeable and helpful service advisor. The guys in the shop are more than willing to spend the time to chat with you about the work performed and did a great job. Very happy to have such a great local diesel shop here in Redding! I took my diesel pickup to Veterans Diesel with a fuel system problem. They figured out the problem and had had it done the following day. They were accurate with their estimate and did exactly what they said they were gonna do. Good shop!

My Duramax diesel. Had my scan done and needed #7 glow plug replaced. Verbal bid $236.00 which is in the ballpark. Even though the part full retail is 19.99 at Auto Zone. You have to remove the passenger tire and fender liner then its right there. So I approved the repair. I took it in the night before at their request so it would be nice and cool. When I took it in I asked since they would have the liner out could the put on a new fuel filter? Its right there when that liner us removed. Sure he said. $34.99 at AZ. He told me he used ac delco on both. I failed to get the cost for that but Lithia Chevy charges $119.00 so I foolishly figured it would be in the ball park. Nope. Not even close. The bill was $795.00. When I questioned him (owner) he said oh I used the wrong labor charge. We just changed it today. The new total was $498.00. Discussed it but no give. Well at keast 300 bucks vanished. Thats something. You be the judge. I recommend get it in writing. The entire thing is on video. I will not abide lying and cheating silently. Its poor business practice.

I was very impressed with Veterans Diesel. Very honest, and strait talk with my repair and cost. My truck was repaired in a timely manner. And it runs great now. I let a few weeks go by, driving it around, before this review. My truck has no issues and is running the best it's ran in a long time. I will recommend them to friends.

Our truck broke down pulling a trailer on the way home from Yuma. I called and was told if I had it towed they would be able to tell me what was wrong. As soon as we arrived they diagnosed the problem and started working on the truck. At lunchtime Justin, the owner gave a ride to get lunch. The next day the truck was fixed and Justin picked us up at the RV park to get it. Great service and nice people.Service: Engine repair
