Compassionate and caring we had a medical emergency for our little Honey(Dog) while they were trying to save her life, it came more apparent that this was not going to end well. They were so sweet during all this.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I had a HORRIBLE experience with bringing my cat in. For one, when I called frantically because my cat had been poisoned and was dying right in front of my eyes- the receptionist showed me no sympathy, and told me they were booked for the day (this was at 3:45pm, they are open until 6pm) and that if I wanted to be seen with them I could wait until 6pm to come in when their emergency hours start, pay a $400 fee on top of whatever treatment needed to save her life, instead of seeing her ASAP for an EMERGENCY, you would rather me wait and pay you more. I called around town and 4 different vets office instructed me that they are an emergency vet and this is their job and to walk in with my dying cat. I did, and luckily a vet tech heard my pleas and took her before the receptionist could turn me away. The receptionist yelled all huffy to the rest of the staff that “we WILL NOT be taking any more animals today!”.While waiting to check out (now 7pm) I am the only one in the office, while there I heard 3 phone calls come in with humans on the other side hysterical asking for help, they would be put on hold just to be told to go to cottonwood or Chico. One person called because their cat was “hit by a car and their back legs are completely flat”, the man who answered the phone went to the back and asked whoever if they could see the cat- again, NO ONE IN THE CLINIC, they are OPEN- when the man returned he had a smile on his face and seemed way too happy, he told his co worker “nope! Chico or cottonwood!”. Just happy he didn’t have to work. It was heartbreaking to see. I’m not sure why these people are working in this field, they obviously do not care. The only kind people was the receptionist with pretty green hair, and the dr I saw. Other than that, awful customer service. Especially “Jen” with red hair. She is completely useless, I don’t think I saw her do any work while I was there. I will never go back and will tell everyone about how this place only wants your money. They do not care about your animals.I ended up paying over $400 for them to tell me they don’t know what’s wrong with her, and to wait it out. 0/10 experience.

My dog might have eaten a poison mushroom or dirt associated with it. I went to my local vet in Weaverville, CA, but they were closed. There was a sign posted for emergencies, and I was able to get me into contact with someone. They suggested VCA Asher Animal Hospital in Redding. After paying $400.00 just to have them see my dog, I drove the one hour to Redding. To make sure my dogs liver was not jeopardized, I allowed to have Suki kept overnight. They did blood work and had an IV pumping fluids into Suki. Couple times the vet texted me that Suki had settled in and was being monitored. The next day, the vet called me and said Suki was doing well, and they would check her blood work one more time.I was able to bring Suki home the next day, and she was full of energy when they brought her from the rear holding to the front lobby.

I had to bring in my sweet little yorkie in on a Sunday night at 10pm emergency. The staff and doctor were so kind and treated my little one like their own. Very, very kind hearted employee's. I will recommend all my friends! In such a sad situation they were very comforting and caring.

Bad experience all they want is your money don’t go here if you value your pet there is reasonable priced vets near by and they actually value your pet I always hear of pets coming back injured and the vet techs say they know nothing about it I myself have experienced this , on top of that went to get a cat fixed and they tried to charge 300$ for a procedure that has costed 50$ prior absolutely obscene that they upcharged the price because they think they can getting a big dog fixed costed less smh outrageous they also don’t accept vouchers like an animal is a life too and they should be valued!.!

Friendly staff that took good care of our pup. But they do seem over priced, and the location is horrible. If your pet is easily distracted, you'll have your hands full as they have you wait out front. With non stop traffic flying by, and no secure location. Just an open parking lot with a strip of grass. If your pet was to get loose while you wait... I don't see it going well.

They Would not see our family loving pet Injury /Emergency, told us to go to Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic, they did give me their phone number to call on my way to cottonwood veterinary clinic, (that was NICE of them)I personally will not use VCA Asher Animal Care in the future. Very last place on my list to use...

For an area that is very underserved with regard to emergency veterinary care (my own vet just refers to VCA after 5pm, which is unusual, in my experience living elsewhere) so thankful VCA exists. It's expensive during off-hours, but they have taken wonderful care of my dog when we have had emergencies arise on two occasions. The doctors are kind and really want the best for your pet. If the operating hours were not FCFS, I would use them as my primary vet.
