This is another treasure in Redding filled with great inexpensive buys and an amazing selection. The staff is awesome and very helpful. I find a new purchase every time. Great Christmas stuff too.

Good things: it’s pretty clean and very very well organized. It’s the only reason I gave 2 stars. My actual experience: They just treated me like I was trashy. My two year old broke off from me and ran under a clothing rack so I had to run around the rack after him, and they were super judgy about it. They didn’t have carts for me to put him in, so I had to hold his hand and children can get squirmy. He didn’t break or knock a single thing over, and I immediately got to him and grabbed his hand again but you’d think I let my child play frisbee with the porcelain plates the way they looked at us.When I asked about trying on some of the clothes they told me they don’t allow that, so I asked if I could return what doesn’t fit and the woman snorted and said no. I could hold the clothes up to myself against their mirrors or measure myself and the clothes with tape. She was acting like I wasn’t prepared or like returning something that doesn’t fit makes me tacky. Then when I was checking out they wouldn’t let me use my card without looking at my ID. They actually thought I was using someone else’s card. This was a debit transaction, and I needed to use my pin for it so there was no reason to need to look at my ID. I’ve never had this happen at a thrift store before.I understand that this store isn’t in a great area, but my goodness that is not how you treat people.

I have no qualms with this place, since I have never shopped here. I just want to know why the Google page says they are open until 5, but here it says 2. We live in a world of Internet contradictions. I see this all the time. Doesn't anyone care about factual accuracy anymore?

I was very impressed on how organized this thrift store is. Lots of room especially in the dish isles. You can’t try anything on(I think due to the homeless) but the walls are covered in mirrors so you can estimate how things fit. I’m giving it 4 stars because as I was checking out a homeless women opened the door and asked to talk to the clerk once she was done. The lady checking me out glanced over her shoulder and turned back around, ignoring her. I understand this area has a lot of homeless people and I think they handle it well, but the ignoring was rude.

Sandy at the Lake Boulevard will harass and discriminate against people with service dogs. Makes people feel unwanted and as if those with service dog needs are a target. Sandy also called security to personally kick me out of the store on February 22, 2023 at 11:50 am due to me owning a service animal ( might I add that the security guard was highly respectful and did nothing ). I do not recommend this store because of the harassment. The store has great items however, I highly suggest not having a service need while being in there unless you intend on being discriminated against.

They lost my business because I take the bus and I went shopping at the dollar store. The told me to leave my bag outside the door. Ya right so my stuff can get stolen. I asked if I could leave it by the door inside. I was told no out side. So I left haven't been back since. Going there today without any bags. See how it is.

A friend of mine went into Salvation Army on Lake Blvd on two seperate occasions in the last two weeks. The ONLY two times she has been in this particular store. Both times she was told to vacate immetiately upon entering because she smelled of campfire and was wet therefore looking homeless. She would have been a paying customer and was in there to get a pair of boots and dry clothes. The boots in particular she has wanted for about a month and saw in the window. They are a church organization that make about 80 million in PROFIT a year. That's profit based on the donations from people. To see this beautiful soul cry because of the appaling and vile behavior of this woman is beyond sad. I wrote a strong worded complaint to the main office and will impatiently wait to see how it is taken care of. Kindness is free, people. Seriously.ALSO, the woman that kicked her out is the mother of a homeless man that is a good friend of mine...shared for the know of our community.

I adopted an 11 year old boy for Christmas. Hid a 100 dollar bill in a book. Hope he finds it and buys himself clothes that he likes!

This place is a pit from Hell. Smelly, sketchy, and overpriced. I won't even donate here.
