I happen to be driving by earlier this week and someone was spraying (what I think is insecticides) something on the outside with his nice white hazmat suit on and mask and then going inside and spraying all over the place inside the building. This is a serious health hazard, if it is pesticides/insecticides!

The prices are good and it’s well organized but one employee in particular (older lady) is always rude when we come in. She just makes unnecessary policing comments. One time it was my son opening a dresser drawer… told him not to open it. I was standing right by him and he wasn’t being rough at all. Another time it was her scoffing at us looking at the items and him picking up a mug to show me. I get they don’t want things broken but gosh he has never harmed any item in the store. I also spend money here weekly… if he broke something I would buy it. The most recent time she came up to me and said “are you going to buy the sweater?” I had it sitting by my feet along with my books I was buying. I told her I was and she replied with “okay well we don’t want it touching the floor” so why did she even ask if I was buying it? It didn’t matter. Another older lady who worked there over heard and said “let me get you a basket”. That would be the appropriate approach… you don’t want it on the floor even though I’m buying it then just get me a basket? That’s customer service. Unfortunately every time she’s there I here her saying things and it just ruins the experience. Management needs to have a talk with her and maybe the others. Personally I haven’t had any issues with other workers just her though.
Also they won’t take $50 or $100 bills. Which can be frustrating if you’re spending a bunch there and don’t have a bunch of smaller bills.
I’ve also witnessed said woman with a cart of already priced items behind the counter. The next day the items were on the floor/counters with different prices and labeled the the price tags that don’t ever go on sale. For example 2 gold candle stick holders were labeled $1.25 each… I came back the next day they were $6. Very strange. They were already priced and on the floor at one point.

Echoing all the other low star reviews here. Very poor customer service. The employees seem to enjoy talking down to and over policing their patrons over minor things… like the size of your purse, trying on sweaters over your clothes, showing ID when using a debit card. I have experienced all of these situations the few times I’ve shopped there. Sadly, it’s bad management that’s trickles down to the whole staff. I will not shop at this location again.

This is the cleanest thrift store I’ve been in. Staff were friendly. Everything organized

This store doesn't have dressing rooms, which I get, but it doesn't't allow you to even try a shirt on over what you're wearing. So if you are a hard to fit body type you're out of luck.

I went to the Salvation Army thrift store on 7/17/2024 and had a terrible experience. The worker was immediately aggressive and hostile, insisting I leave my purse outside at my own risk. When I politely asked if I could place my small-to-medium-sized satchel behind the counter, she abruptly interrupted and aggressively said no, demanding I leave it outside. I walked out right away, as there's no way I would ever leave my purse unattended outside a store.

Horrible customer service they treat all there customer like trash do not support this business. The main thing a business needs to have is good customer service they didn't learn that part before they applied for a job where you deal with customers

I wish I looked at all these horrible reviews first before I spent any money there. The worker was rude not sure If she was the manager but she was not nice. I spent over $200 and took my grandma in and she tried to accuse me of changing tags. Why would anyone even think someone would do that. I walked in with my $3000 Louis Vuitton purse and they seen me pull in with a brand new truck. I don't know if the worker was miserable because she's 60 and still working or what her problem was but after reading all these reviews I see she just targets anyone and everyone that is considered slandering someone and it's not okay when she looses her job and gets sued I think she'll think twice of what she says to loyal customers considering I take my grandma in all the time and I also donate frequently her behavior is not OK and I'm tired of businesses getting away with stuff I will be contacting my attorney. I am a business owner well known and I would never treat any of my customers like this. I honestly think she is changing the tags entering a different number in the system and is stealing money at the end of the night when she closes the draw. She's very snoody and very rude. Don't let any business treat you like this when at the end of the day you are paying her paycheck every month supporting the business

I was very impressed on how organized this thrift store is. Lots of room especially in the dish isles. You can’t try anything on(I think due to the homeless) but the walls are covered in mirrors so you can estimate how things fit. I’m giving it 4 stars because as I was checking out a homeless women opened the door and asked to talk to the clerk once she was done. The lady checking me out glanced over her shoulder and turned back around, ignoring her. I understand this area has a lot of homeless people and I think they handle it well, but the ignoring was rude.

This is another treasure in Redding filled with great inexpensive buys and an amazing selection. The staff is awesome and very helpful. I find a new purchase every time. Great Christmas stuff too.
