The pharmacist would not fill my elderly mothers pain medication and she just had surgery. He asked to speak to me in a private room and asked me a lot of questions about the prescription which I gladly answered. He then requested her surgeon call him with more information so he could fill it (this is 5pm on a Friday!) we had the surgeon call him and then the pharmacist said the surgeon told him to not fill the medication. Now it is 7pm and we call the surgeon again. He verified that he did not tell the pharmacist this and called the pharmacist again to get her pain medication filled. In the meantime, my mother was in immense pain. This pharmacist lacks compassion, is incompetent, and not truthful. If you want to use the Safeway Pharmacy use the one on Easy Cypress.

I'm visiting family in this area for the summer. I realized, I had forgotten my medications back home and I started to panic. I started calling pharmacies around the area and no one had the medication in stock. I was losing hope when I called this pharmacy, also already annoyed. I was put on hold for a bit and the pharmacist (Ron) ended up picking it up and helping me. Unfortunately, that day they didn't have it in stock either but he offered to check if he could order it for me, and yes! That's all I wanted was to at least have it. I wasn't worried about missing a dose but I needed it for the summer here. He said he'd call my pharmacy and transfer my prescription and let me know when it will be available to be picked up. The pharmacist ended up contacting me that my prescription was ready and I got to pick it up. I greatly appreciate his proactive approach, instead of saying no he gave me a solution and helped me through the whole process. Exceptional service and I highly recommend for the outstanding care.

This pharmacy is wonderful. The pharmacist Ron is professional, kind and caring. He will bend over backwards to assist his clients. He answers questions politely and does everything he can to help and assist in any way he can. The entire staff is also very kind. I have never had a single complaint and have filled my prescriptions there for two years.Diane

The young pharmacist manager here goes above and beyond for me when I’m needing my monthly prescription drugs. He is very courteous, fast-paced, professional, and makes my experience always great at this pharmacy.

I would give this place a zero if I could. They treat their customers very poorly and talk behind their back as they walk away. Very unprofessional. It's impossible to get meds filled on time. I was constantly out of medications due to them having to verify them with my doctor after the doctor had already called them in. If they don't like you, or if you speak up when treated poorly they make it even harder on you. Do yourself a favor and find any other pharmacy in Redding. This has been a terrible experience and since moving pharmacies I've had no issues at all.

Staff always tries their best to get you in and out fast. More so if you sign up for Safeway Pharmacy text message alerts. Save us all time and trouble.

I went in at 12:37 for a flu shot. Not a single other customer at the Pharmacy. I asked of I could get a flu shot. No she said. They close a 1 for lunch and she wouldn't have time. Really?

Long checkout lines. they need more staff to check out customers. You will spend more time standing in line to check out than you will shopping.

35 minutes waiting in line.Thought I was at DMV then realized my last visit to DMV was just 10 minutes. My point? Being compared to & doing worse than DMV, pretty well sums up the rating of this pharmacy.

Pharmacist is incompetent, lazy & rude. Billed the wrong insurance for the past 6 months. Every month, I get my pain medication late. Finally got my insurance rep to talk to the pharmacist. He didn't even know what the rejection code was! My rep told him she'd call back after she got the info for him. When she called back, he hung up on her, then left for lunch before she could call back--15 minutes before lunch. They seem unable to keep staff at this pharmacy, and my guess is: they can't handle dealing with incompetent management, either.

No stars is more like it, terrible service. I use the app to request refills, I request mail delivery, never works. I even received a phone call that their shipping label printer wasn’t working so couldn’t mail it. What happened to good old hand writing. By the time my husband was able to go to the pharmacy, they had re- bottled the pills and told him he had to wait 50 min. This is not the only time I’ve had issues getting them to mail the prescription s or get refills done with out several phone calls. And calling them is a joke . Contacting thru the app is also non existent.
