The customer service was great.Went again for my Subaru which has lane assist. They replaced the window quickly, had a very awesome waiting room with coffee and snacks. When I thought my lane assist didn't work, they let me bring it in and Mike explained the whole process to me and showed me how it work. (There was a button I didn't press). Their customer service is top notch!

I'm from out of town, it started raining heavily while visiting my mother here in Shasta. Unknowingly, I had a leak. I called Platinum, they saw me that day. The leak isn't from my windshield, these guys went above and beyond to figure out what my problem was. They didn't charge me a penny, I was blown away. You just don't find customer service like this anymore. I am truly grateful and the best way to show that is by word of mouth. Highly, highly suggest!

I stupidly sat on my Father in Law's glass table while visiting. Platinum Glass rushed the order so that I could replace it before I went home. They had to get the glass from their other store. They did all this at a very reasonable price and with smiles and handshakes! Good folks!!!

Had my windshield replaced on my 22 bmw. Didn't pay anything and they installed OEM glass. They're really good at working with your insurance and very helpful and will guide you through the process. I sat there and wait for 2 hours and observed how they worked. Man they are awesome. Amanda is the one I like the most. Even though how busy she maybe, she is still on top of everything. I like the good work ethics overall. Thank you for being so professional and going above and beyond on what you guys do. Appreciate y'all!!!

I've known about Platinum Home & Auto Glass for years, but only recently was the business acquired by Donnie Zanner. We came in to get a windshield crack on a Tesla Model 3 repaired. We were a bit nervous because we know that there are no Tesla repair shops in Redding, and I'd heard that the calibration process would require me to drive to Chico if a company like Safelite replaced the window. Donnie and his team were up for the challenge and this saved me a lot of time and coordination as there were multiple components to my insurance claim!From the get-go, what struck me most about Donnie wasn't just his expertise, but his genuine approach to customer service. In a world where businesses often prioritize scale over individual customers, Donnie remains refreshingly old-school. He's the kind of guy who doesn't just hand off responsibilities to his team but stays involved from start to finish. He takes pride in his work, and it's evident in the way he proactively reaches out to ensure everything is running smoothly.Now, let's talk about the Tesla challenge. For many, the intricate calibrations and the peculiarities of Tesla glass might seem daunting. Had my windshield replaced on my 2015 BMW today. Great customer service. The only problem was they said it would take an hour or an hour and a half but it took two and a half hours. Job looks good windshield looks good. They also give a great veterans discount. I saved $100 with the veterans discount. I recommend all veterans call and check their price before they take their Auto somewhere else. Veterans need to support the businesses that give veterans discounts. It shows they appreciate the veterans and what they have done for this country. I suggested veterans stop doing business with businesses that do not offer veteran discounts. Always ask the business if they give veteran discounts. If not go elsewhere.

I am changing the rating on here because I received a call from the owner shortly after posting, who is offering me a full refund. Although it was a frustrating experience, I really appreciate them reaching out to me and taking accountability.This is what I had a originally posted for anyone who is wondering:I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was my first time coming here and I had a very bad experience.I originally scheduled an appointment on Yelp because that was an option and received a call the next day from Dawn about rescheduling the appointment. We rescheduled it for another day, but when I got there I was told that there was no appointment in the system for me on that day. The only one they had on file was the appointment that I originally set, even though I was called to have it rescheduled. I was frustrated at this moment, especially because I took time off work to be there, but I understand that mistakes happen. They told me they would look at their schedules and call me to reschedule, so I left and got a call within the next few days. We set up a new appointment and while I was on the phone with them they also asked me for my VIN, and I gave it to them.I showed up to the next appointment that we set. I had also left work early for this appointment. After about 30 minutes of waiting in the waiting room, I was called up and told that they had the wrong molding for my windshield and would need to reschedule. They day they had available was a day that I worked and I could not afford to take off more work, so they offered to come to my work. I gave them my work address and they came to change my windshield. After they finished, they called me and asked me to come down and show me something.What they showed me was that they had put the wrong windshield on my car. They ordered the windshield for the sedan when my car was the station wagon. They said that they could not put my windshield back on because they had already taken it off. They apologized and said that someone from the office would call me about it.I received a call later that day and it turns out that they had looked my car up by the make and model instead of the VIN. This was pretty frustrating because I had given them the VIN previously over the phone. Regardless, I was told that I would receive a call once they ordered the correct windshield. The receipt they gave me that day was for $325.88. but they told me not to worry about payment until they got the correct windshield on.A couple weeks passed and I did not hear anything, so I decided to call them. Dawn told me to come in that Friday at 8:00 AM. She said she would not be there, but her coworkers should be able to help me out. I was off that day, so it worked.I woke up and got ready before I received a call at 7:30 from another working letting me know that they had not received the correct windshield and that they would call me when it was in. I said okay and went back to bed. I do not know why I was told to come in the first place if it was notI would like to also point out that despite how frustrating this experience was, I was never rude to them. I was polite and understanding, even in the moments when I didn't want to be.Finally I received a call from Dawn that my windshield was in and I could come get it fixed. I was happy to just get it over with and asked to schedule it on a Friday because I would be off work. They got me in that Friday, and then it was fixed.When I went to pay, Dawn asked me how much I was quoted for this service, and I let her know I had not been given an updated quote, but the previous receipt had said $325. I still had the receipt in my bag so I double checked it. She said this time it was coming out to $345. This was the only time I was impolite, and I just said "ok whatever". My tone was less than enthusiastic, but I didn't yell or raise my voice at any point. I understand that this windshield probably costed more than the incorrect one, but after everything I'd gone through with them, it was very frustrating. She knocked it down to

Had a great experience despite unfortunate circumstances. Works quickly with insurance. Communicated very well about an issue with the first windshield they ordered (not the fault of Platinum) and got the correct item and scheduled the repair at an expedited rate. Everyone in the office was kind and professional. I hope I don't have to come back, but if I need more glass replacement I'll absolutely be using Platinum again.
