“If I could leave more stars, I would. To the traveler reading this: if you have secured a room with Americana Modern Hotel, consider yourself lucky! And extra lucky if you are a pet owner. This quaint, unique, cozy, clean & conveniently located hotel was my home for almost a month and I can't say enough good things about the fantastic staff, the rooms, the lobby, the courtyard with misters and a fire table, dog area, laundry room & delicious coffee every morning. I so appreciated the wall art, decorative art pieces, uplifting words of wisdom and the decor and overall design in general; procured and selected with care and intention. I loved that there were plenty of tables and seating areas with gorgeous succulents & landscaping everywhere. The water misters were so lovely during the super hot days. With my previous career in real estate I immediately appreciated the overall design of the hotel, attention to the smallest detail; modern and high tech forward yet cozy; as if I was in my own home relaxing in the backyard. Stellar location. I truly felt like this was home away from home. Did I mention that the beds are AhmaZing?!

I was in between homes and stayed at the Americana Modern for almost a month (May of 2024). Due to my own personal uncertainty for the month, I experienced staying in 5 different guest rooms. Beds and bedding are super comfortable and breathable. Water pressure and AC was great no matter the room and very clean. As I was staying more long term, I also appreciated the mini fridge and generous storage space. I even stayed in one of the pet friendly rooms where the floors are not carpeted - genius! Every morning I popped into the lobby to enjoy my fantastic cup of coffee where there is cold water bottles and granola bars available as well.

Location? Stellar. Walking distance to everything you need. Whether you stay for one night or one month. Do check out their breakfast (or any of their menus) at restaurant From The Hearth; delicious food that will feed your soul.

A special Thank You to Lauren & Heather, Alva, Tobia and Alex for an exceptional experience being on the receiving end of such a professional yet warm & friendly staff with pristine guest rooms and premises during my month with Americana Modern. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in the best of the best of places and worked closely with big wig developers in the area of real estate. All of this to say, my review of Americana Modern is a reflection of a more global travel experience of what GOOD Customer Service & Hospitality is all about. Will I stay here again? Heck yeah.”

“Stayed here for 10 days and I have only positive things to say. The location is convenient to restaurants, shopping and the interstate. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is good, rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. The entire staff goes above and beyond. ALL STAFF DESERVE 5 STARS! The front desk employees are friendly and helpful. They even went so far as to wash my clothes when washing machine was inoperable. The housekeeping employees constantly checked on me and replenished toiletries even on days we weren't scheduled for cleaning. The breakfast attendant walked to every table greeting guests and bringing whatever was needed. A wonderful stay all together! Thank you. We will definitely return.

“We stayed in their 2 room King suite. It was a great room, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great.
Our family traveled to Redding for a family member who was at Mercy Hospital. The receptionist offered us a reduced rate to help alleviate the cost of traveling without us asking. That personal touch was very appreciated.
I hope in the future to have the opportunity to stay at other Oxford Suites in better circumstances.”

“Really cozy place. It's right in the middle of downtown Redding, but was safe and super convenient. It was also modern and clean! I've stayed at Hilton and 4-star hotels that wasn't as nice as this place. I totally recommend it if you are needing a place to stay for the night or just simply visiting Redding.”

“Rooms where clean, staff was friendly, breakfast buffet was really good. The place is worn down, but is a 2 star hotel so price reflects that. Really close to the highway take that as either good or bad.”

“Awesome room. Awesome everything thing else in the building. Very comfortable king size bed. Friendly desk staff. Non-skid tub. The washcloth did not feel like sandpaper. I would prefer a larger HDTV but the existing HDTV is adequate.”

“This is a very nice hotel, but we had one of the worst experiences checking in. It took us over an hour. Yes, there must have been issues with the computer systems, but it is still unacceptable to make us wait that long. I pleaded to just let us drop our stuff in the room, but they said they wouldn't. They promised to waive the $50 pet fee for our inconvenience, and they did refund it today after I called. Thanks for doing the right thing!”

“The rooms were so nice and befor we left we sheen the couch pulls out didn't get to use it wish they told us but still the rooms were nice and the service for breakfast was very nice was happy

“THE BEST TRAVELODGE EVER!!! If every Travelodge was this clean, this polite, this maintained, this pleasant, we wouldn't stay at any other hotel! Absolutely incredible staff - thank you Brandon for the warm and expedited welcome, and Heather you made our day with your morning cheer and disposition! This is the only place I'll stay when traveling thru Redding for now on! Great job guys!

“We had a family reunion of 61 people here for my mom's 95th birthday in Redding and most everyone stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. We used the large meeting room to have our festive celebration for the birthday party. We had the buffet of the prime rib dinner and chardonay chicken. Everything was delicious and the service was absolutely incredible. It was a whole weekend long event and Greg Knoell and his team were phenomonal from the planning in the beginning stages to taking care of every little thing that came up with such kindness and patience. It was a huge feat to pull off and I'm so appreciative of Greg and his team for helping me make it all happen. The family all had such a wonderful time.”

“The hotel - the actual building itself - is very nice... Comfortable yet elegant but honestly, the highlight of this place is definitely the staff!!!
Everyone is extremely helpful & friendly... I have made friends with a couple of them and we have shared pics of our fur babies with each other...

“A little dated but great use for transitional housing. Rooms could be in better condition, location is right next to the Downtown businesses and RABA major transportation hub.”

“I needed to make a stop on my way up to Portland and this location wis perfect. It was not fancy the t v's did not have many channels but it did offer somewhat of a decent breakfast and the beds were very comfortable. Definitely not fancy but for the price and for the amount of time I spent here I felt that at least it was fair given the other options that were available that were considerably more.”

“I stayed here some time back . I really enjoyed my stay the room was clean and quiet. Housekeeping was prompt. Closes to shopping and bus . That is helpful for those without their own transportation. Also , it is close to the Sacramento river,river trails, as well as Caldwell park, and downtown.”

“We booked room with premium queens Bed for 2 nights. I was charged different rate for 2nd day which is odd. They said busy. But it was after holiday and there were only a few car. Anyway, other than that trick they done at billing, I say bed was really great. It’s better than double tree I used to stay for work. room and carpet is very clean. Pool is also clean.

“Due to the McKinley fire all the hotel's we're booked. Another hotel suggested Sundial Lodge. When I looked at the building I was expecting an old property. I was pleasantly surprised that other than being small it was very nice. Not a bad stay.”

“I am very shocked about this particular hotel. When I was first assigned to spend the night here working related I noticed it was a two-star hotel, I don't see you why is only a two star, I was very impressed with the bed being very comfortable, it has a microwave a refrigerator, looks like a brand new air conditioner heater, the bathroom has a really nice tub they even provided shampoo conditioner add body lotion in the shower, I have all the same amenities as I would in a five-star hotel, the location really nice secluded and the best part they have barbecue area with picnic benches to do a barbecue outside I recommend this place to anyone give it a chance a lot of people see that and they frown upon it or I can't stay there, display shock Me and it has a coffee pot, I stay a lot at Gold Country casino, their hotel a little bit bigger maybe with a small couch, again I'm impressed with the room that I'm staying. I like to do reviews because I travel a lot, and trust me I have stayed in two star hotels way way way way way way way way worse than this,”

“The morning manger was rude because I was computer literit on how do send over paper for CC authorization was kind at all was very rude and even turned down my money for my son to be there because I couldn't figure out how to send PDF file to her she works in the morning time I forgot her name but every morning she was rude”

“I knew I was staying at a Motel 6 and not the Ritz. The room was very clean & uncluttered. There were little places that could use a newer coat of paint, but again, I knew what I was getting and I was happy with the price that I paid. The manager was AWESOME & even a girl that was in the office, whose specialty was housekeeping, came out when the manager was on the phone and welcomed me. The ONE thing about the room that I didn't like was the door security. You could see sunlight around the entire door. The rod & ball with a flip lock (??? for lack of a better description - LOL ) was NOT secure. I felt like if someone really wanted to get in, and hit the door hard enough, the screws for that mechanism would have popped off. I think just re-mounting it on a different part of the door & frame would solve the problem. The AC unit was great and I was very comfortable. Oh, one more thing - the internet/TV stations were a bit spotty. No big deal though - I certainly didn't expect to get Showtime - that I was a nice bonus!!! :o)”

“Everything was very clean and their breakfast buffet was fantastic! They had scrambled  eggs, sausage links, potatoes,  fluffy waffles, and so much more!The breakfast manager, Mario,wasvery attentive to whether we  needed anything additional for  breakfast and made us feel welcome. “It is not a fancy hotel by any means but it takes your animals without a deposit and I can’t tell you how AMAZING THE STAFF IS, ESPICALLY KATELYN AT THE FRONT DESK - she was so patient and helpful with us, we were evacuated due to the “ Park Fire “ . I checked in and she had a lobby FULL of people she was the only one working and she was so kind to everyone and helped everyone with a smile and answered everyone’s questions . We checked in early evening and the next morning she was back to help all of the evacuees and help the company stay on top all the customers needs - They need to give her a raise for SURE !!! Morgan was also amazing and Jedidah the room manager was always there and ready to help any and all of us with our room needs .
The rooms are dated and they could use new towels and linens but it was clean and we were safe and our animals were with us - so I will not complain about the esthetic of the hotel..

Thank you to the staff and our stays has been now 6 days and counting - hopefully the fire will be contained and we will be able to go home soon, until then We really can’t thank the staff enough !!”

“The front desk gal was super kind, very accommodating and helpful. I ended up not staying here, however, I needed to be closer to downtown. The hotel is going through a face lift, and they are working on a lot of the issues that people are complaining about here. That being said, I’d come back and see how they’re doing and say hi to my new friend.”
