All the staff were extremely helpful and provided excellent service. Bryan picked out a Dagger, Stratos for me to use for the 2 CRQ clinics and the California River Quest race. I thought the kayak was very stable and safe for a first time Sacramento river paddler like me.
Tiffany was great with handling the rental as well as coordinating boat return after the clinics & race when the shop had already closed. She was particularly helpful in providing insights to certain sections of the river and moral support.
I would rent or purchase from Headwaters anytime if I am in the Redding area.

We just had an AMAZING excursion in Trinidad with Tiffney! Everything was even better than we could’ve imagined. The AirBnB was beautiful and comfortable and fit our group perfectly. I was a little nervous, but our guides Nick and Alex with Kayak Trinidad were so professional, competent and knowledgeable. We learned so much and had a blast! Thanks to Headwaters Adventure Co and Tiffney for putting this together and for the fabulous dinner.

We signed up for a group kayak adventure with Headwaters Adventure Company through Tiffney and we had a really great time! The house we stayed in at Trinidad, CA was comfortable and fun with foosball, pinball, a hot tub and smores! The guides from Kayak Trinidad took us out on Trinidad Bay where we saw seals and a momma and baby seal and some big rollers! They were quick to respond to any emergency and we felt very comfortable kayaking with them. Headwaters treated everyone to a fabulous dinner afterwards! Thank you Headwaters and thank you Tiffney!

Headwaters Adventure Company is a great place to shop for quality paddling products. They carry a wide variety of kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, paddles and lots more accessories. I have bought many items from them over the years and have always found them to be very friendly and helpful when choosing the best products to meet my needs. They are knowledgeable about our local waterways and will take the time to be sure you get what you need. Their greeters (two very sweet doggies) will meet you at the door to welcome you in.

I came here to buy a recreational fishing kayak. The shop had a wide choice of boats on display, and seeing them in person made choosing one a lot easier. I went with the Crescent CK1. The sales associate helped me load it on the car and showed me how to tie it down properly. Everyone was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Nothing good to say about this place !!!! Took my 16' cataraft pontoon in to get a slow leak fixed,,after over a month "no phone calls to let me know what was going on BTW" when I finally called and went to pick it up,,it was in worse shape than when I dropped it off,,handle was just hanging on,,busted my valve and they had to fix it b4 I could even take it home....and the leak is worse now than when I brought it in,,,soooooo frustrating !!!!

Headwaters is amazing!!! I booked a whole week of guided rafting trips on the Sacramento River for 50 high school students (I am their teacher). Not only were the trips so fun, but the guides treated the kids like gold. They were kind, patient, and trustworthy with our safety. They even trained all the students how to navigate and steer a raft. One of my students had a pre-existing shoulder injury that flared up, and the guides, after looking at him, determined that he needed to be picked up at a middle stop early due to it becoming a safety concern. They were so kind in dealing with him, and felt bad that he couldn't finish the trip, so they even offered to take him down the river again for free when he recovers! The guides were also respectful, engaging, and tasteful. I didn't hear a single curse word off-color comment from any staff. They were amazing role models for my students. Matt, Rick, Sean, and Tiffany I love you guys so much. Thank you for giving us an amazing week!!!

Friendly and generous and knowledgeable. At my first visit, I arrived just as they were closing. The owner answered my questions for half an hour. The second time I visited I bought an $1100 inflatable kayak he recommended. I'm planning a trip for next summer. They were willing to help me even though my purchases will be over the upcoming year.

This was an excellent course. Tiffany was able to cover all of the requirements needed for this course. She was able to help modify how a skill could be done when one of us was having trouble.
