Not a cycle story, but a good local business story. We had a cable break on our truck seat. Called around and part was discontinued. Ended up at Cycle Salvage to see if they could help. Owner, Wayne was very helpful and gave my husband a cable he thought might work. My husband was able to McGuyver it and the seat in the truck works again. In our busy “not my problem” world, Wayne was a true local business that took the time to help. Thanks again.

This place is awesome. I love and own old classic Hondas motorcycles and this is the only place in Shasta County that I can find anything for them. The owners awesome and very knowledgeable. Always finding a way to make something work.. Definitely 5 stars for what the place is

I have a ZX10R and one of the brake pad pins on my front caliper worked itself out. I went to see Wayne and he hooked me up with the exact part and got me back on the road immediately. Excellent and friendly service and any true Gear Heads will love his shop.

I was on the first day of a ride last week and biffed it on hwy 36 and lost a foot peg. I have an older Yamaha gen2 fz1, called the dealership in red bluff and no surprise they didn't have one in stock, bit recommended I try Wayne at cycle salvage.I showed up the next day and after a parts search they didn't have one that would work. So I started digging through my glovebox and found that the key for my givi racks might be something I could make work. Wayne took a look at what I was trying to do and thought maybe a hose clamp might help which he dug a couple from a bin for Mr to try. He also gave me some bailing wire, loaned me tools and duct tape to finish up with.It worked! After all that time and energy he wouldn't accept any money ( I tried to give him a $20). He was so totally helpful. It held up for the entire 1000 mile ride! Clearly he's not in this just for the money. Great guy!

I believe it's the owner had a side-by-side posted for sale on Facebook marketplace I message Tim and made a lower offer he accepted that offer and gave me an address I then drove 2 hours 1 way to go and look at the unit and pick it up and he decided he no longer wanted to accept that lower offer And then try to tell me that he never accepted that off from the 1st place even after I showed him the messages that he sent me Doesn't sound like the kind of person I want to do business with in the future
