It’s often difficult for pharmacies to receive good reviews, simply because the majority of people only do so when they perceive something to be inexcusable, thus the poor review. That said, I wanted to be sure to leave a glowing 5 star review for this hard working and efficient small pharmacy. Have I waited a long time before? Of course, it’s a pharmacy. However, at this one I genuinely believe that most of the people working here are actually kind, authentic, and dedicated. I highly recommend never switching to this pharmacy. As more customers= longer wait times. ;)

I love how convenient this location is. See my doctor, stop in and get my meds. But I want to share an experience in blind hope the person its about, sees it and maybe helps them to be more observant and considerate.I checked in roughly 10:25 to see if my scripts were sent over electronically. Sadly they hadn't, but the tech put my name on the list to get it going as soon as it comes in. At this time they weren't super busy, but that can change almost instantly. So instead of taking up limited seats in their little waiting area, I opted to sit in my car, no biggie. I let the tech know, and off I went.11:10 rolls around and I hadn't heard if they had started it, or if they even got it yet (when you sign up for texts it sends you these updates), so I walk back in and of course they are swamped. Again, no biggie. I take a seat next to a couple older gals to wait for my name to be called. The Pharmacist comes up to the windows about 5 minutes later, looks at the 3 of us waiting then calls out to the ladies next to me, saying, and I quote "You two have been waiting longer, let's check on your status". I'm floored. I know they weren't there when I checked in, so i can't help but take it a little personal. Then I hear one of them saying, " it's been nearly 15 minutes" (as she's finding out some of her meds aren't ready). So at this point, I've been here over 45 minutes, and because I was trying to be polite and stay out of the way, I'm shoved aside and overlooked because he didn't 'see me' waiting the entire time. But had he just asked my name, he would have seen that I actually had been waiting close to an hour by this point, and that my meds were already ready and waiting. Instead I wait another 10 minutes to get through the line (so im not pushed aside again) as he's still helping each of those ladies. He finishes with the second lady, and im next in line. I give him my name, and in a hopeless attempt to get him to see his error, I mention my wait time; "HI, I checked in at 10:30 to see if my scripts were sent over, just wondering if they have yet." I wasn't rude, and infact, as embarrassing as it is, I was choking up a little because I felt it was personal and couldn't understand why. So if anything I was kinda quiet about it all. He tells me everything is already ready, which erks me even more, because had he gone in order of actual wait time, as he claimed, I would have been home by this point. He gets my things and just as I'm walking out he off-handly apologized for the wait (but that kind of apology that has a sneer) and like the push-over I am, I smile and say it's fine.I only brought up the wait time to express that I'd actually been there quite a while, but im sure he assumed i said it because I was annoyed from waiting. I didn't mind the wait, it was the disrespectful reason for the wait. But there was no point in trying to make him understand any of this. He's right because he's right. It just bothers me that someone felt my 45 minutes were not as valuable as someone else's 15. Or that he couldn't ask a 2 second question, because he didn't care what the answer was. I was going to wait because he felt I hadn't been there long enough to get serviced.Kinda makes you feel small. This may not sound like a big deal, and normally it wouldn't be, if it was the only time something like this has happened. But hopefully this can be a insight for not assuming and checking your so called "list".Whether he saw me the first time or not shouldn't be the issue. He can't pay attention to everyone who walks in, nor should anyone expect him to, hence the reason for "the list". Use it next time.

This location has always been speedy, helpful, and competent. I've been able to phone in prescriptions or transfer them from another pharmacy and pick them up within a couple hours. If you are a member of Shasta Community Health Center, there is no better location to drop off at.Loses one star because no weekend hours. Gains star back because of quality and professionalism.

I did training here and the employees were awful. They had me on the register 90% of the time, I barely learned anything about what being a pharmacy tech was like. They constantly talked trash about one another behind their backs and were overall very toxic. Pharmacist would laugh at people coming in to pick up certain medications and made jokes. One of the technicians here who coincidentally had the same name as me strongly disliked me. Toxic workplace overall and I had a terrible experience here at this CVS.

Excellent service Hannah at the front she was extremely helpful !! The pharmacist Gary answered all my questions and concerns and left me well informed. Extremely happy with both their service and this location in general. Definitely recommend if you're not happy with your current pharmacy to come check the CVS out

Wow ?!? and I thought it was just me.I have to say the same as most of the other reviewers that this pharmacy is consistently rude , has very poor communication with their customers and I have been looking for a different pharmacy to go to in the future. I thought CVS was a corporate store but for some reason this location is continuing to get away with horrible services, perhaps they don't look at Google reviews or they just don't care

Unprofessional and horrible at communication with doctor or patient . Told my my ob nurse practitioner couldn’t prescribe me a meter for my gestational diabetes and I called and they told me my nurse fills them all the time. It’s just this pharmacy that’s weird. I’d recommend anywhere but here especially if you don’t have time to wait for you’re prescriptions ex. I have GD and need to test my sugars before I can even eat
