Used my EDD card cause that’s where they bank through. Got a counterfeit through the ATM. Can’t make a claim with the bank can’t make a claim with the number on the back of the EDD card. Can’t talk to anyone on the phone. Go in and get a number to call just to go around in a full circle. My last 100$ down the drain for the week let’s hope I can figure out how to buy my newborns diapers and wipes that I needed.

I went to Bank of America this morning to cash a check there was not a line got up to the teller no, I don’t have a checking account nor do I want a checking account with you guys. I gave him my ID to cash the check he started playing with my ID and I told him please be careful with my ID. He told me you are going to need to get the ID fixed and then he said something about cashing checks here, yeah and my ID doesn’t expire until 25. I sure don’t appreciate it. Him telling me that I need to go get my ID replaced. At least it’s valid such horrible customer service and then I said out loud. I bet you chase wouldn’t do that.

If I could give a zero star I would definitely changing banks. Every time i deposit a check, the teller tells me there's no-holds being placed. And then the next day I get an email saying there's ahold for 7 days every single time. I can't wait a week to get paid every single time. It's just not gonna work for a business.

Horrible service half the time (tellers are hit and miss but at least treat you like a human most of the time, can'tsay the same for the other staff). Phone doesn't even have a waiting feature, meaning if there isn't someone ready to pick up the phone you're out of luck. Talking to anyone other than a teller takes hours because they run a skeleton of a skeleton crew. They seem to make any interaction or expectation as clear as mud. It feels like the employees move purposely slow as to minimize how many customers they have to help. Several times I was told that I needed X to do something only to return, and re-wait, just to be told after the fact that I also need Y and Z making what should and could have been a 1 day issue take several days. I pray for your sanity if you have a loss of a family member and need to close their account. They made it a nightmare for my father when my mother died and a nightmare for me when he died. If you're thinking of banking here then I would highly advise that you rethink that horrible idea.

In my five years of banking at this Redding BofA branch, and in my 3 decades of banking with BofA, I have enjoyed friendly and professional customer service but Chris L. took it to whole another level: he welcomed me warmly, quickly assessed my needs asked my day's schedule, and figured out a timely solution given my time constraints, offered me water while I waited, and even connected me with his colleagues so I could get some information about a physician practice loan vs physician home loan. He got me appropriate help quickly and anticipated my questions, offered me helpful information and made me feel valued as a longtime customer of the bank. He was easy to talk to, good natured, thoughtful in his questions, and patient with my questions - I appreciate him so much! Clone Chris or promote him to management to teach others how to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere - most people find it a chore to go to the bank or intimidating to discuss financial issues but Chris's personality, professionalism and charisma made banking here a delight! His friendliness made banking less intimidating, he took his time to respectfully explain things I didn't understand, and he put me at ease so I felt comfortable asking questions. Through our conversations I realized I had banking needs I didn't realize could be solved through BofA. His positivity is infectious and should be duplicated if at all possible! Please reward him for excellence in customer service! I had considered switching banks for my business and personal needs due to recommendations from my realtors but after this I think I'll be staying! Thanks Chris for making customer service such a high priority, and for understanding that a warm and friendly environment makes for great business and happy repeat customers!

I LOVE THIS BANK OF AMERICA. The security guard is so nice and welcoming, and all the people working there are enthusiastic and so open to helping you. This has been my fourth time going inside, and I never had a bad experience. They help me in every possible way, and I feel so valued as a customer every time. A lady even put a butterfly sticker on one of my documents! It made my day! 10/10 recommend!!! Best bank ever!!

I wish I could give this review less than one star. Multiple times I’ve gone into this branch to cash a check written by THEIR customer. I myself am not an account holder (for obvious reasons) and each time I’ve been denied, first time the “check was over the amount for non members” and when asked what that amount was it was simply put “I can’t reveal that information for fraud reasons” then how am I supposed to know what to ask my customers for? Second time one small difference in the customers signature didn’t match, and when asked if they could contact THEIR member, the check issuer to verify that they in fact wrote the check they outright refused. Not only is this inconvenient for me as a business owner. It’s poor business etiquette for the account holder, as IF this was a fraudulent check, (as they wrongly suspected) what’s to stop me from bringing it to my bank and depositing it? then the account holder would be out that money, and the bank would have done no due diligence to prevent that for the member. It’s purely to save their own a** with no regard to the acct holder. Apart from the terrible business practices of BofA as a whole. This branch employs possibly the most rude, unknowledgeable and incompetent staff I’ve ever had the displeasure of interacting with. The only person I would say is doing their job right is the security guard out front, and he’s not even employed by BofA. So please read my truly heartfelt review and consider it before doing business with Bank of America

That day, I was working on cleaning my property, so I came to the bank quite untidy. This probably caused the clerk to treat me differently. After checking my information, she told me to wait by the door. She continued to receive the customers and who knows how long I would have waited if a kind employee hadn't come by and asked what I needed. He took the keys from her and provided me access to the deposit box. While I was waiting, I saw that she had received 4 customers in the meantime. The next time I go to the bank, I will try to find out her name and add it to this review.ConclusionAs everywhere, you always have those who take the client seriously and those who think they can do as they want.

Some of the worst people in the species called human beings work here led by their manager Jared. They are nasty/ rude and horrible to customers. It does not matter if you are a platinum or diamond customer. They basically do "not" care!It does not matter if you bring a business or personal account matter to them. I am surprised that Chico regional office and people like John Szabo do not do anything to fix the issues in this branch. John will always claim that in Shasta county - the buck stops with him and he will "not" do anything to help resolve any issue! He will basically brush it under the rug! Hide it from his management and not do anything. From top to bottom they take customers for granted, and hurl abuses at you based on your skin color... Matter of time BofA gets sued due to this behavior! Does anyone remember - Starbucks baristas discriminating against customers based on their skin color???Rest assured BofA is heading the same ways especially Hilltop Drive branch at Redding, CA...Complaining through twitter/ facebook for anything is completely "useless"! They also hide complains under the rug and do not escalate issues to management.

My wife went into this branch to put a name change on her old account and make a deposit. She was turned away saying she didn't have an appointment, however we did have four previous appointments with this branch that THIS branch canceled for lack of staff. They were rude and since the check was in both our names she wanted to deposit in my account but they refused to let her do that. Instead they scheduled her an appointment to two days later at the end of the day. I have been a client of theirs for 18 years. I think it's time to change banks

I deposited (2) unemployment checks in person on 12.28.22 & was told they funds would be available next day only to receive an email about 5 p.m. stating the funds would not be available until Jan 9th. According to the Federal Reserve this is illegal, funds cannot be held longer than 6 days. They state the reason for the hold is the check has a high likelihood of being returned "bouncing" ... the checks are from the State of California. I have reached out to customer service and was told there is nothing they can do. I attempted to reach the bank itself by phone from 9 a.m. this morning to 10:45 & not once has the phone been answered. EDD/State of CA has already won a case against BOA for this. This is just so sad to still see happening.Update: I deposited additional unemployment checks in person on Jan 4th and was told I would receive them the next day. I received an email at 2 am stating there is a hold placed on all the checks until Jan 13th.Do NOT bank with Bank of America, especially if you're on unemployment for the first time in your life.

One of the worst branches ever to visit. Casher staff is horrible to customers. Branch manager Jared is rude/ aggressive and treats any person of color with a negative attitude. If I could I would have given MINUS 5 out of 5.Last time I posted a review google removed it - probably BofA marketing team knows tips and tricks to get negative reviews removed. This time hopefully it will not be the case as I am not posting pictures... Just my experience.Avoid this branch at all costs! Better still avoid bank of america at all costs!
