I was forgotten about 2 times to be put on the schedule. I almost ran out of propane because of this.

Amerigas corporate has ruined this company. You can't get ahold of anyone local. All online and phone calls go to a call center in India. We were missed on the auto delivery loop which is understandable. It then took two weeks to get a delivery scheduled which was missed. They showed up a day later with no prior contact. The guy called when he arrived and had to lock the tank since we were not home and the tank was empty. We called a day later (to India call center) and soonest they could schedule the leak inspection was two weeks out. Frustrating but again understandable. Scheduled day came no inspection or contact. Called back got an apology and another appointment a week later. Second appointment was a no show again. Called back and got another appointment for a week out. We have now been out of service for over a month while still on the auto delivery plan. So sad to see a company cost cut to this level of service. Stay away! Will update when we get service. As soon as tank is empty we'll go with someone else.

I needed a cost estimate for 100 gallons of propane to recieve assistance paying our tank rental because we never get 100 gallons of propane the agent refused to give me that and only wanted to send me an old invoice. This was not acceptable to SHIIP because it was more than 90 days old and was for less than 100 gallons. It took me 3 phone calls before I got an agent who was willing to email to my propane company what I wanted which delayed us getting assistance. On a positive note our tank was filled and the late fee was refunded

Your drivers are always so courteous and pleasant to deal with--even when they get on the wrong road (I live on the easement portion of the main road), they close my gate for me, which I really appreciate!

I thoroughly explored your website for an answer to a question and did not find what I was looking for. I opened the chat window, which was unable to answer the question and no human ever connected. I then called your local number twice: no-one answered the phone, but I was invited to take a small survey. I then called your 800 number. Twice. The second time someone who barely spoke English answered, and was, after consulting her superiors, FINALLY able to answer the question. REOPEN THE LOCAL OFFICE! They were always helpful, efficient and friendly.

I’m with every one else on this comment page if I could give negative stars, I would this company is out of control and cheap. They don’t care about customer service. The fact that their calls go out of country is ridiculous. I cannot understand them they cannot understand me I cannot get a supervisor I get transferred to a survey it’s absolutely out-of-control. It took me five days just to order Propane. Five days just to order Propane are you kidding me that was just to order it !!!I’m still waiting on a delivery and I have had no update. I have been using AmeriGas for the past nine years and I can’t wait to end my contract and give somebody else my business.

If I could give negative stars I would. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Received a delivery 2 months ago, the driver said there was a leak and he shut off service. I had to dig a trench to expose the pipe so he could come back and repair the leak and turn service back on. The delivery slip I was given stated service cut off due to leak detected, call the number on the slip to request repair - there was no number on the slip. Dug the trench, called back to get the repair done. Was not able to speak to anyone local (all local numbers, even surrounding area offices go to an out of country general number) and get any timeframe on when someone would return. They returned at some point, no idea when, no notification, no phone call, no email, no note on on the door. All they did was replace the gauge and put tape over it, install some box on my tank (which I don't know what it is for) and did not turn service back on. They lock the doors to the local office so you cannot speak to anyone in person. I do not know how to resolve this issue when the company will not actually contact me and I cannot speak to anyone with any knowledge of when someone will be at my home. I have not had heat in my home for two months, during the middle of winter, they know this and do not care. I even paid for the delivery that I am unable to use so they would have no reason not to fix the issue they told me they would resolve.

I’m going to first start off that I am a local business owner and customer service means everything. Customer service has been pushed out to some other country and we were told in order for someone to come to our house. It would be an extra $300 on a normal workday. We have been with this company for the past 20 years and haven’t had no issues but now that they’re answering service is in a different country they will not transfer you to talk to anyone having to do with AmeriGas in the United States. They told me I could go to the local office and talk to someone in person which was A lie when I arrived there the doors were locked and a big sign, saying that they do not take walk-ins to call the number that just takes you right back to India. We will not be using this company anymore. We are going to be switching over to a local company as soon as we can. We were on an automatic fill up for the past 20 years and now they say we have to pay upfront not even knowing how much gas we’re going to receive To top it off they want to do a credit check. And want all my personal information how do I know this isn’t just a scam. My wife and I are very unhappy with the service that they are providing at this given time. They won’t even take an in person payment anymore. Very unfortunate that this company is going this route.

Warning: Strongly reconsider before choosing AmeriGas for your propane needs. Their disorganization and subpar customer service have led to a frustrating ordeal for me, involving erroneous charges for undelivered services and persistent billing errors over four months, despite repeated explanations and assurances of resolution. Promises to address the issues were not fulfilled, and I was even threatened with a cessation of deliveries unless I paid these incorrect bills. It's important to note that I had already switched to a different provider and didn't have any equipment from AmeriGas. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach out via phone and chat—where I was left waiting for unacceptably long periods—I can only advise others to seek their propane elsewhere to avoid this chaos.Update: My issue was resolved within 12 hours after posting this review. While I'm pleased with the prompt turnaround following my public feedback, it's disheartening that it took a public complaint to receive the attention needed to resolve a simple customer service issue. It seems that the company prioritizes public image and the impact on their bottom line over consistent, private customer support. I hope that in the future, AmeriGas will extend the same urgency to all customer concerns, not just the ones visible to the public eye.

Ridiculously high pricingCalled after I got a letter about them installing a wireless tank monitor. Told them I didn’t want it and the supposedly noted my account. They showed up to install one anyway. There’s nothing American about Amerigas.

Ordered propane for our home, and were required to pay prior to delivery, via credit card. Once the driver arrived, he said he could not fill our tank, due to it being close to something combustable. Driver gave us NO PROPANE. I called AmeriGas to ask for a refund via credit card (which is how they REQUIRED that I pay). AmreiGas said they were unable to give any refunds via credit card, but would send me a check, after approval, with in 10 days. Day 30, after the phone call asking for a refund, I called my credit card company, and canceled payment. Dated about 10 days AFTER I canceled with my credit card, AmeriGas sent me a refund check. I did not (and still have not, nor do I plan to) cashed their refund check, as I canceled payment via my credit card company. I now get monthly a bill from AmeriGas with a balance due, plus an additional monthly late fee. I have called AmeriGas, ummmm probably 8 times, explaining the situation, spoken to supervisors, collections, customer service. I have reference numbers for the phone calls, nothing in writing from them, even though we requested a letter mailed, or an email....the refuse to give us that, but continue to send us a monthly bill, which increases monthly, for NO PROPANE. Really bummed that this is how they choose to handle situations. This is a big company.... You guys are better than this.

The best part is I didn't have to be involved in any way. The propane was delivered and with autopay I didn't even have to worry about writing a check. Good communication each step of the way.
