My cat absolutely loves this food and has zero health problems as a result of this food. I can not attest to their customer service as I have never had to use them, but I can say I will continue to purchase their cat food, hopefully for years to come.

I began ordering this for my Corgis who are allergic to everything. I ordered a premix and a dehydrated beef. It took several weeks to receive my order. My Corgis seemed to love the dog food. On my 3rd order when I added the beef my Corgis tasted it and spit it out on the floor. They would not touch the food. Corgis live to eat, they will eat almost anything, but they would not eat from this bag of dehydrated beef. I put it out for the feral cats and they also would not eat it. I tried to contact the company immediately and they did not even have a working customer service phone number. Even sending an email was difficult. I finally heard back a few days to a week later. When I called and explained the problem and explained that I had almost a completely full bag that I could not use and asked for a credit, not a refund, to apply to more premix not the dehydrated beef, there was a pause and the representative said she would have to get back to me. I was appalled. I am used to the excellent customer service from Chewys and The Honest Company. Received an email back, not a call, saying they could not credit me for the unused beef dog food but would give me a discount on more. Why would I want a discount on dog food my dogs will not eat. I will be ordering from Dr Harvey's, and The Honest Company also Chewys. I would not recommend this company. Their greed far exceeds their sorry customer service.

I would give less than 1 star if I could.. I’m a new customer and customer service is the absolute worst! I’ve been trying to contact them relentlessly for a week now and haven’t heard a word back from them. I’ve left messages called all hours of the day emailed and nothing. I ordered food well over a week ago now and it took forever for it to ship… once it finally said it did ship there has been zero progress in shipment.. incredibly frustrating and they have lost a customer over this

One of my dogs was recently diagnosed with a heart condition that is going into heart failure. He needs a low to medium sodium diet. My vet asked me to get the information on the sodium content in what I was feeding him. The sodium information can actually make a life and death difference for my precious dog. I have been using Grandma Lucy’s for over a decade. Obviously they would tell me right? They are a company with integrity right? Customer service told me they were not allowed to disclose this information.I fond this quite alarming. Then an officer of the company, Brian Butler, also refused to disclose this information despite repeated requests. If you go to a reputable dog company (like their biggest competitor The Honest Kitchen), not only do they disclose this - they have articles about sodium content on their website. I am horrified and also scared as to what they are hiding. What are the options - they don’t know the sodium content? Or the sodium content is so out of whack it is dangerous for our dogs? PLEASE don’t be as innocent as I have been. Please buy from a reputable company.Do NOT purchase a food from a company that won't disclose the ingredients. And particularly one that won't disclose the ingredients when your dog is sick and your vet needs to know :-(

DO NOT FEED THIS FOOD. It almost killed my 5 yo Great Dane. Had him on it for about 6 months. He started losing weight. I did a nutriscan to rule out any food allergies. Another month went by and he was still losing weight even though eating recommended amount. When I took him to the vet he was in renal failure and severely malnourished. Vet said this was not the first time she had seen it with grandma Lucy’s. He had to have months of injections to get his health back. Tried to contact the company multiple times and no response. If you love your pet stay away!

Whatever you do, DO NOT FEED GRANDMA LUCYS. My great dang almost died on grandma Lucy's. I had him on it for about 6 months. He'd had a check up and was perfectly fine. A few months in I noticed he was losing weight. I had a food sensitivity test done, and took out any proteins he could possibly be allergic to. Another month goes by, and he's still losing weight. I took him to the vet and he was in renal failure and severely malnourished. Had to have months of injections to get his health back. I have contacted them several times to discuss, and nothing. When I told my vet about the food, they said other pet owners were having the same problem.

I called on 4/22 and 4/23 and left a voicemail mail With no return call I called again on April 26 and finally a young gal answered the phone, I asked about the expiration dates in the Oven Baked Treats she herself could not read it correctly and I also told her no one called me back from last Thursday and Friday. I asked her who was above her and she said his name is Brian and he gets in at 10:00 a.m. Brian called me at 10:14 a.m. I asked him about the codes, I do remember my old bags having expiration dates a couple years ago, he replied " absolutely not"! Okay Fine, I went on to tell him that no one called me back from last Thursday and Friday, he said I'm calling you back now I said no I left another message this morning and that's why you're calling me back, he was extremely rude and condescending, He just didn't get it! I asked him who was the owners and he refused to tell me! What do you want to know for ? He kept arguing with me. It is on the web- site it is Eric and Breann Shook. He kept going on and on, he was rude and condescending. I told him he just does not get it, he lacks in customer service, and he would not stop!!! I finally hung up on him after 10 minutes because he would not stop verbally. He said " I am calling you back ", I said " that is because I called today ". He really needs to learn phone etiquette!!!!!

I am a big believer in feeding my dogs real, ACTUAL food and this company makes some great products. Both of my basset hounds do very well on their foods and I get compliments all the time on how healthy my boys look. All I really do is try to feed them the good stuff. Plus the food smells good enough for me to eat. I also try to support local companies when I can and this company is based out of Orange County. Thanks for keeping my hounds healthy and happy!

Wow Jorge you are awesome, friendly and helpful! Just got off the phone with them. He is incredibly helpful and I already ordered some food from them. Will update after trying. I have three dogs, but two have specific problems. My pitbull mix has cardiomyopathy and heart disease. My corgi chi mix has IBD and a sensitive tummy. Thanks again for all the help! Wish more people were as friendly and helpful as this company.

My name is Rob, I have a 5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. 8 months ago there was a issue with Natural Balance Kibble ( Sweet Potato & Fish. ), He spent 2 months going back and forth to the vet with several stomach issues. My vet recommended I change foods completely. I started doing several different searches and found a company local to me in Orange county that makes freeze dried dog food. My Bernese Opie has been on the food for about 7 months now, no issues and his coat is a lot smoother. He has even stopped chewing on his paws. Will happily recommend the food for any Bernese Mountain Dog owner. Rob.
