Art for Kids was founded in Los Angeles in 1981.
Gail Reiter Sedigh created and painted an alphabet - charming characters forming the letters - and the first AFK product, "Framed Names" were quickly being sold in nearly every high-end children's boutique in the country. Soon the stores were asking her to expand the line. The AFK line was expanded to include lamps, mirror frames, toy chests and other nursery accessories. The introduction of the first crib, changer and armoire in 1998 established AFK as a premier source for fine children's furnishings. Today AFK strives to design and create a collection of nursery furniture unique in the marketplace.
