“We just had a great 4-Day stay at this lovely hotel. Hotel, room, and surroundings very nice, clean, and well kept. Parking was easy and convenient. Loved the restaurant next door! The location was just perfect as we wanted to visit all the beachside towns between Oceanside and Del Mar which we did. The bed was very comfortable and loved the large walk-in shower. I do wish our room would have had a small table with two chairs (small dining set) to sit at but otherwise, our overall experience was great!”

“I can't say enough good things about the hotel. I had an issue with my room and Sabrina at the front desk was amazing. The managers Stephanie and Rebecca were outstanding. I've never seen a response like this. The staff are always smiling and the front desk greets you coming or going. The location is primo!! The spa is great! The property is spotless. “Stayed this weekend for legoland, everything was perfect, this hotel was amazing, Great quiet location with a starbucks, sushi, gas station In side the plaza. Our room was clean, staff was very helpful, every morning there was warm delightful breakfast with staff cleaning every minute making sure everything ran smoothly & lady was very attentive. Young gentleman always making sure everything was in order. Very happy with this place. Will definitely be booking again!”

“I loved staying here. Charming rooms. They look just like the pictures. Easy walkability to many restaurants and bars. Short drive to LA Jolla or Carlsbad. About half an hour to the zoo, safari park, mission beach. It's an adult oriented neighborhood. I didn't see a single child, which is a good thing for here. There is nothing for children to do.
The bad reviews have to be from people with weird expectations. This property was built in 1920. That's part of the charm. It's a small, privately owned hotel, so it won't have all the fancy amenities of a giant chain.
The rooms are charming. Very clean. It's an old building so some small defects (loose tile, small showers) are to be expected. But again, that's part of the charm. The road outside is pretty busy from about 6 am to 6 pm, then quiets down a lot. I slept with my windows open. Some sound from neighboring rooms comes through everyone's open windows, but none through walls. I'm an early bird, but if you're a late riser and light sleeper, you may have to shut the windows after 6 am. Garbage trucks, traffic, the normal stuff. There is also a train that goes by, but I stayed a week and only heard it honk it's horn once.
I hate to even post a review because I don't want everyone knowing about this place. But I couldn't resist.”
“Very quaint motel! Our particular family-style suite had a partial view of the ocean, and was conveniently located near lots of spots where we could walk to for breakfast or lunch! Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!
Rooms: We booked a family suite that had one bedroom with a queen bed and full kitchenette and bathroom, and an adjoining door that led to a second bedroom that had two full beds! Perfect for me and my two boys in their 20s!
Walkability: There were several cute breakfast and lunch spots that were easily walkable from the motel. I will definitely stay there again!”

“Cute hotel just blocks from the beach. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. They even brought us muffins and juice in the morning. The only drawback for us was no coffee machine in the room, but they have a fancy coffee machine in the lobby.
Walkability: Just a couple of blocks from Seaside Market and Starbucks coffee. Great breakfast place right across the street. A couple of blocks to the beach. A great walking trail (rail trail) about two blocks away. Close to everything you need in Cardiff.”

“We had a spacious room with 2 queen beds.The place was clean, the housekeeping was golden! super kind ✨?The breakfast was modest. Not that many meat options, in fact I believe there was only one, it wasn't bacon.There were a couple of bread choices and you can make your own waffle, but I didn't get one because there was a slight queue for it specifically. Fresh fruits were available. There was banana, apple, orange, and mandarin.”

“We loved our stay at the legoland hotel. location was super convenient, lots of hidden surprises around the hotel. The elevators were also a surprise and great every time. The restaurants required a reservation, but I booked breakfast everyday the first day we arrived so there wasnt an issue there. We tried both the bricks and castle restaurants for dinner both were good. Everywhere is a dance party, and the staff did events every night from bingo to dancing to story telling. It was a wonderful experience for both adults and kids alike. We ended up using valet parking because it was easy. All the models throughout the hotel were amazing. The pirate ship play area was perfect to spend time in before the park opened. Our kids completed the scavenger hunt the very first night and the pool is heated! but only open till 7.”

Kind of tough to find the front door, if you come in from the red light, you come down a dead end road and their entrance is off to the left. The signage could definitely be improved.”

This is the most kid-friendly hotel I have come across in the USA to keep kids entertained.The kid loved the outdoor play areas in the hotel and we were very impressed by them too. The play area equipment is very high quality designed to help ensure kids don't get hurt while at play. Really appreciate the thought process and commitment to quality.Fun evening activities for kids is another plus.Appreciate the life guards at the swimming pook to ensure safety is mintained. Hot tub is great.Rooms: Rooms are fantastic. Love the separate sleeping area for kids with the Lego building board and Lego bricks. Love the low height bathtub. Exciting safe with Lego sets everyday.Breakfast/Dinner: Breakfast is very good with plenty of options for vegetarians. While the dinner menu did not have a lot of vegetarian options, the chef was great and made some great vegetarian food.ConsBreakfast Management: Despite taking reservations, reservation timings are not honored. This defeats the advantage of getting early entry to the park as all the time is spent waiting in line to be seated for breakfast despite having reservations. Reservation and non-reservation guests are placed in the same queue. Hotel and non-hotel guests are placed in the same queue. Defeats the purpose of paying a premium to stay at the hotel.Chocolate milk dispenser was not working throughout our stay for breakfast.Would have loved to see more character meet and greets inside the hotel.Swimming Pool: While they claim the swimming pool is heated, it was not heated during our stay.Value: Very good 4-Star experience and 4-stars owing to the amazing kid-friendly nature all around. For the premium being charged, the hotel needs to deliver more value and a better experience to hotel guests to make it a 5-star experience.”

“We got married at the Inn over Memorial Weekend 2024 and it was the PERFECT venue for our celebration! The staff went above and beyond in every way and ensured even the smallest details were handled. The staff is made of best-in-class professionals from top to bottom. The valet team in particular were a massive help - from unpacking our U-haul full of wedding materials to driving guests back from our after party at Nick and G's in the golf cart (completely on their own!). Camille, Raj, and Vikram were a fantastic team. They created a very relaxed atmosphere with beautiful rooms and common spaces, as well as world class food and drinks. Our guests were blown away by every aspect of the weekend, which included a Friday Welcome Party on the Azalea lawn and Sunday morning brunch in the Library area. The food was amazing at every stop - something that is hard to pull off with over 230 people! - and people are still raving about the cocktails (the spicy marg was a hit!). As the bride and groom, they saw to it personally that we were always relaxed, excited, and well taken care of - including beautiful flowers and champagne in our rooms at check in. We cannot recommend the Inn highly enough as a venue for a wedding or any other large gathering - they absolutely crushed it!”
